  1. Could you elaborate ajax ? I'd love to get this fixed. A higher or lower number will move the HMS down ? Is there a value that has the HMS centred or is it different for each monitor setup ? Sorted, no need for help now.
  2. And your using the central trim method ? The problem your having does not sound quite like the one I was having. If the control inputs are re-activating strait after trim without re centring your stick and your using the central method then its the same problem.
  3. Just so you know The Unchain Rudder from trimmer mod breaks central position trimmer method, I had this problem and fixed it but reverting to the origonal Lua files. The mod was included by accident in NVG RC3 mod so if you have either of these mods then I would guess they are the culprit. See my forum Posts http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=95390 http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1576841&postcount=223
  4. Yes! So you were RIGHT Ajax ! Sorry for being a bit snappy with you.
  5. On the contrary, I am happy that I contributed ( in a very small way ) to this mod. Excellent work as always PeterP I don't suppose there is any way of having this mod and the control indicator working ? As a Non FFB Ka-50 pilot I find the control indicator vital ( mainly to know the rudder trimmed position ).
  6. Thanks Ajax, I have solved the problem, it was caused by another mod.
  7. Hi Guys I think this mod was interfering with the centre trim method on in DCSW BS2. Please look here for an explanation. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=95390 This was the RC3 version and I have not tried RC4 yet. I really like this mod but unfortunately I also really like having the controls indicator and a working central trim method :-(
  8. Ajax I don't use that mod and I think you are still misunderstanding the problem I have ( had ). I have fixed it by replaceing the Macro_handler.lua and Macro_sequencies.lua with the default ones. This disables the NVG Mask RC4 Mod but thats ok.
  9. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=40624&highlight=unchain+rudder This the mod you were thinking of ? I'm not sure I understand your post
  10. I haven't but I will look at the relevant lua for this mod and see if it sheds any light on my problem. This really is making flying the shark tricky and annoying, its like being back to my first time flying. Ok, Just checked the files used in the Unchain rudder mod. They seem to change the Macro_handler.lua and the Macro_sequencies.lua These two lua are also changed by the "NVG-Mask for DCS World RC3'' (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1558358#post1558358) I haven't tried RC4 yet. I will replace the affected Lua files with the originals and see if that fixes the problem.
  11. I am using an x52 pro but an inaccurate centre position is not the cause. What I think you are describing is when the inputs don't reactivate after trim because the stick is not in the defined centre zone. My problem is kinda the opposite. Read the red bit in the first post :-)
  12. Hi all Yes yes its a trimmer question but I do know the systems quite well and this is not a n00b question ( I don't think ) I have noticed recently (in the latest auto update to DCSW possibly) that the centre trimmer method is no longer working. When I first noticed this problem I went looking for the relevant Lua files and found 2 copies of the one I was after. D:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\FMOptions.lua Which contained only and D:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50\FM\FMOptions.lua which contained This is file and correct as I understand it. Now the effects in game : When trimming using the central trim method, the joystick inputs reactivate immediately after trimming and not once the joystick has been re centred. I have included a track file of my testing. It is a DCSW:BS2 Track file. In it I am trimming my aircraft on the runway to the limits of the inputs without returning my joystick to the centre. The control inputs reactivate strait after the trimmer is released. This leads to somewhat bouncy trimming while in the air and is not nearly as smooth as when the central trimmer was working for me. Any Ideas ? P.S. Have now included DxDiag.txt TrimmerTest.trk DxDiag.txt
  13. Hi all I noticed that the trimmer felt a little different in the latest version of DCS:BS2 1.21. I use the central trimmer position method and noticed that control inputs seemed to be reactivating immediately rather than once the stick has reached the centre position. I wanted to tweak the deadzone of the trimmer central position so I went to the file \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\FMOptions.lua but the file is nearly empty and is not showing the entries I expected to see from reading other posts This is all it contains : Could this account for the trimmer behaviour and how can I restore the functions of the centre position trimmer method.
  14. Am also having problems with this and have the same setup as above. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1511099&postcount=25 here is my setup
  15. Solved : The 3 step solution only worked for me once I also unchecked the "Disable Areo" in the DCS world system settings I am also having the same problem. I have migrated from a windowed two screen setup for the Ka-50 to a softTH full screen setup that does the same thing but when I try to use some menus like the slot select in combined arms the cursor has to be offset right off the screen the ingame exit menu works fine. I have done all three steps mentioned as a possible solution but no luck for me. I am not using helios or any other screens, just two. I have tried to include all relevant info in this post not just so that I can find a solution but also that anyone having the same issue can point to this. a 1920x1080 and a 1280x1024 i use for my abris and Shkval Here is my options.lua My config.SoftTHconfig. and my multi monitor setup
  16. Hard to tell from that distance but I think you might be right.
  17. http://englishrussia.com/2012/05/31/helicopters-mi-28-detailed-photos-and-flights/2/ Some nice detailed photos of the Mi-28. One shot of a Ka-50 in there too if you can find it :-)
  18. I belive its one of the rotors of the Kamov prototype V-100. It only got as far as a model though if the internet is correct. Yay this is my first answer in this contest though I am a long time lurker.
  19. " Fighting the Red Baron follows two modern-day, elite Red Arrows pilots as they take on the challenges that faced the aviators of World War I, in order to find out how aerial warfare changed forever in just four years. In 1914, when WWI began, the aeroplane was so new that the British had never used it in battle before. Eager recruits, some as young as 17, rushed to join the British army's new aircraft service - the Royal Flying Corps - and quickly came up against Germany's hunting squadrons and most notorious fighter pilot, the Red Baron. By the end of the war in 1918, a new and terrifying form of warfare had been devised, the skies had been turned into battlefields and the cost to aviation pioneers had been enormous. In this film the Red Arrow pilots fly original WWI aircraft, and carry out the key challenges the plane took on in the course of WWI: photo reconnaissance, artillery ranging and bombing missions; all leading to a final classic dogfight in replica period aircraft kitted out with camera guns. The pilots' flying skills are tested to the limit for an exhilarating and surprising experience. They find that all aspects of modern aerial warfare, from surveillance to artillery ranging, were already being refined by their pioneering counterparts almost 100 years ago. Their journey charts the historical 'big-bang' moments of the race for aerial supremacy and reveals how, in just four years of war, aircraft were transformed from flimsy flying machines to the warplanes recognisable today." Srry for long post but this sort of documentary might well be of insterest to Rise of Flight Pilots like myself ( to a very poor degree ) and others. 20. I wish there was a translation but I doubt anybody will bother with this amount of text, and yea the mig is small, dainty ;-)
  21. this is epic off topic and I love it. Maybe I should start a macross Plus thread and start comparing it to RL YF-23 22 competition.
  22. those canards don't look very stealthy to me in my obviously expert opinion ;-)
