F-22A Raptor mod enhancement mod
Nightstorm replied to Nightstorm's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
I've linked @Texac 's latest F22 liveries at the bottom of the first post. Awesome work as usual sir! Added a pilot texture for the 31st TES for Texac's latest livery. It's located with the rest under the \Mods\aircraft\F-22A\Textures\_Pilot folder. To use, just copy it into the livery folder and edit the description.lua to use it. Both versions updated. -

You know, I don't recall what the reference was. Obviously, I changed it based on something lol. As you stated I referenced the original values from the Wiki. I'll try to dig up what that reference was. The variance in those values wouldn't have much impact on the performance. Regarding your other question: The avionics for the F-15C are used in the Raptor and it doesn't know what an AIM-120D is. It thinks it's an AIM-120A. That missile hasn't even been officially included in DCS at this time. The performance of the 120D is as close as I could get to what is publicly known about it and had some pretty extensive testing by myself and others. I don't know of way to make the avionics recognize the difference. *EDIT* I found where those values came from. They were the values in the original encrypted F22.lua file for the mod. When I had decrypted it some time back, I used those since they were in the stock mod. However, I've decided to go ahead and update the single player version with the publicly available data. Same link in the first post. @FlyingAlex "Something I notice, when I try to use Radar locking on someone, it always shows “UKN” instead of classifying the aircraft." I suspect that's also part of the F15's avionics. I have an RWR mod that has a lua based data file that I can update so that 3rd party aircraft show up on the RWR instead of "U" for unknown. I don't know of a similar file for the F15C RADAR. I imagine if it doesn't know what the aircraft is (3rd party add on) it can't identify it. That RWR mod is located here: DCS RWR Symbology (digitalcombatsimulator.com) -

Yea, something must not be installed correctly. It goes into your saved games folder, and it definitely should show up in the load out screen. This is an add on to the stock mod. It's installed on top of the stock mod. Yes, if the server is running the same version, it should work fine. The reason for the multi-player version is that it doesn't make any changes to anything that a server with the stock version would care about. -

I've tested out the S-400 and I saw BB and CS. I don't know why it said CS when it should've been CB. I've updated the downloads with the additions so others can test. I don't know of anything else that can be done. The entries appear to be correct and it's not showing up as 'U' so it's being fed data from somewhere. -

I'll add in the ones that are missing and see what I can see. As long as the name is correct it should work. From what I've seen it's just looking for a match in the LUA file and if it finds it, it displays whatever is after the = and if it doesn't it displays 'U' for unknown. I double checked what you have against the sensors.lua in the high digit sams mod and the S-400 Trumph and they match. I'll do some testing. -

17 is already in use in the stock file by the C-17. {C_17_, "17"}, This was an ED entry. If the C_17 line was changed to something else, then it could be freed up. If anyone has a correct list for the high digit sam's I can look into making the changes. -

I've re-added the FA-18C LUA (updated version) to the CFT mod as all other modified files were already included. I'll keep that file updated along with the rest. https://www.dropbox.com/s/vo932suqceokh4o/CFT_Mod_3.0.3.7z?dl=0 -

There's only the one location. And there was a text file that said what format to use and a pattern file that you can use to crop your photo to fit. IIRC the formats were DDS, PNG or JPG. There is no backup that I'm aware of, and nothing that copies them back. -

Both versions of the mod install the same way. You download and install the original release and then the mod files are installed over top of them. Both versions have many changes to the cockpit displays etc but the multi-player has no changes to the weapons or stats. -

I don't know. Maybe someone else has that answer. I have two versions though, one intended for multi-player that doesn't change any of the weapons or aircraft stats from the stock F22 release. That version, in theory, should pass integrity check on a server that allows mods. -

The issues seem to be errors in the A2G weapons file that DCS didn't care about until this latest version. The simplest fix is to comment out that LUA but you won't have access to the additional A2G weapons. In the entry lua, comment out this line: --dofile(current_mod_path..'/Entry/CN_A2G_Weapons.lua') -

Well then...how about this? The files are already downloaded and included. This is my dropbox. https://www.dropbox.com/s/vy949av2bim6b5a/OpenComposite.7z?dl=0 The readme file I put in the Runtime folder for future reference if a manual install is needed. That wasn't from the original download. Just the bin folder and it's contents.
