Is there a way to play in a Dynamic campaign?
bloomstomb replied to bloomstomb's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Thx for that quick reply. I assume DCS is working on it ? From a marketing perspective it makes a lot of sense to have a dynamic campaign. Hell.. even Falcon 1.0 had a dynamic campaign! (yeah im that old) -
Hello guys. Just wondering if theres some download, mod or something to allow for a dynamic campaign in the game. I havent played in a while, I know there was not one before. Thank you.

What i mean is, how often do you have to press the button? Im reconfiguring my setup :)

If i purchased A10 before, can I use it in world?

OK THANKS. this dcs world is a great idea :) EDIT. I have a older version of A10 already installed. Will world detect that? Or do I need to download the 1.2 version of dcs a10 for world to detect. As of now I get an option to purchase it, thats it. (Under payments i get the option to download the original a10 game, but it doesnt mention world) -

3 raptors in raid 0 will be right up there with a SSD. i72600k is a great cpu but, not sure how much performance boost you will see with that video card by itself tho. I think the bottle neck would be the graphics card . HOWEVER, i72600k is fing amazing. If you ever want to get more powerful graphic cards, this guy will not bottleneck you (My q9650 at 4ghz bottlenecked my 3x gtx280s for years but i72600k handles them easily... easy overclock to 4800mhz on water). -
Well you cant mouse click engines on. Dont you HAVE to use hotkeys or hotas?

track ir = a big step towards realism.

How long did it take you to learn the A10?

This made me lol -
9 servers.. all PW protected. Sigh.. and no info on how to log into anyof them. I guess I will go play campaign .
-
I think it crashed bercause its not up ther! EVERYTHING IS PASSWORD PROTECTED! Man this is ridiculous. DCS should have some public dedicated servers up. How hard would that be.

Im sure someone already responded, but you need to let cdu load, inflight or ground (4.0.0.8)

Free flight mission. Landing extremely difficult.

Here is my trackfile of the only undammaged landing I managed. Be forewarned. Its going to get ugly... roughlanding.trk -

Ahhhh ok so Im not nuts then:megalol:. It may be labeled dynamic, but its been consistently very tough to land in these conditions, when you get low. I finally landed without any damage to the plane (or me) in these conditions. What I did was put the speed breaks up all the way, full flap down, then used alot of throttle to keep stable. Even so, the vector velocity was all over the place. Speed swings were terrible and constant throttle input was necessary, going from from full throttle, to no throttle, to full throttle . -

Im pretty sure those "gusty" conditions are modeled in because thats exactly what it felt like! Also I dont believe this is dynamic weather. I get the same old sh*t weather everytime up in this freeflight mission. I guess the question is how does one handle turbulence, which seems to really get out of hand just as im nearing the runway. -
NO I dont have any problems setting the steerpoint to the place Im landing, I thought he was talking about something else. I set first knob to MISSION, 2nd to steer, (after I find out what waypoint # I am landing at) then I change the steerpoint to that waypoint through the cdu on left panel. But watching that video I thought he was doing it another way , but its clear in the video its set to initial waypoint :/

I have played multiplayer, and some other missions. I can land perfectly almost everytime. For somereason, in the freeflight missions I always pop tires, break tails. As Im coming in on aproach, my a10 starts flying very unsteady .Speed starts going from 120-150-130-15-110. My nose starts wildly pointing in different directions. Wind is showing 30-50.. Could this be the problem? Any suggestions on how I can land it without dammaging my plane? PS I am trying to land at koubeleti , in the free fly mode, air start.

Thanks guys. Watching a tutorial video, and it asks me to do this, cant figure it out. Anyone? Here is the video. Also this guys hud looks different than mine, thats why I was wondering if I have to set the hud to ILS steerpoint to look like that. Waiting for someone to answer me. THanks. EDIT also in this video he sets his course knob to 124... why 124 and not 130 (as the book says)?

A question about markpoints and creating flightplan.
bloomstomb replied to bloomstomb's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Ahh yes , but thats the solution! Just use rocker to flip between targets:) That way I can keep my mavs SOI. THanks again, for clarifying that I am actually doing it right:) and ignore my last response. We are sniping each other. My solution was to assign the steer switch (on the AAP) to hotkeys. Saves a ton of time. -

bloomstomb replied to bloomstomb's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Rod thanks for that huge writeup +++. Ok , I am flipping through targets in HUD soi mode, I marked 4 of them. But the problem is I need to get the mav to start seeking, and in order to do that i need to press the TM up short command, and inorder for that to work, mav has to be selected as SOI. So I cant just flip through markpoints and fire off maverics, or am I doing it wrong? Because looking at your writeup, Im doing pretty much the same thing, except It seems I have to go intop MAV CAM SOI mode so I can "paint" the target and fire the missle. Am I forgetting something?
