zeke, you wouldnt happen to be the "oldzeke" from ww2 online would ya? I have not tried air refueling with a10 yet, but it was extremely difficult in falcon as well. Very small inputs.

uh.. whats difference between waypoint and steerpoint?
bloomstomb replied to bloomstomb's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Ahhh ok thank you. Finaly something simple:) ALSO what is anchor point? I looked at every reference within manual and it just uses it as a passing reference, never tells me exactly what an anchor point is and what its used for. -
What is "present position area" in position /cdu
bloomstomb replied to bloomstomb's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Yup I did a search on FOM earlier. The guide is very vague on what FOM really means. So , what does the d5/b1 in the top right corner mean exactly? If FOM simply means the scale of accuracy, how accurate is d5/b1 on this scale? Also , my undertanding is that FOM scale is from 1-9, so I have my doubts that this d5/b1 could indeed be FOM. Checking out this thread on the subject atm http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=71637&highlight=fom -
What is "present position area" in position /cdu
bloomstomb replied to bloomstomb's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Hmm yeh that makes sense. They couldnt cut the grids perfectly because earths shape is not perfect. One other questions, I have a D5/B1 top right corner of position info. I have been trying to figure out what this means and no luck. Any idea? -
What is "present position area" in position /cdu

OK thanks. I can see the utm grid that I am in, but just a small correction, not every utm grid is 100km x 100km. For some reason there are utm grids that are different sizes (eastings are somewhat variable, being 40000m , 60,000m and 100,000m, Northings are pretty uniform from what I can see , they are all 100,000m Not sure why its not unifor but im sure theres a reason. Thanks for the replies guys , one more hurdle out of the way. -

Is there a place I can see this map with the grid lettering and numbering on it? Thank you for the detailed response! -
Im looking at the present position / eastings /northings line. It says MP 21500 04800 Mp= present position Eastings = 21500 Northings= 04800 What is MP? What does it stand for? Thank you..

I get this message often. For example, taking off sukumi, the tower guy t ells me Im cleared to taxi to runway 30. Then I get there, i never get clearance to take off. Is this a bug?

Manual? It did not seem all that complete to me.

Heheh i feel for you bud. And just when you think you have it figured out, there will be a ton of other things. As far as your stalling goes,I would check to make sure your throttle is up all the way.

I could really use one. There are so many many many options and buttons . Its overwhelming. Do you guys know of any cdu training resources on here or the web that I can make use of? Its pretty intimidating otherwise. I have no idea where to begin!

Can someone explain why EAC is tad dependent?
bloomstomb replied to bloomstomb's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Hey thank you it works now. I was not waiting till it was fully uploaded (4.0.0.8 ) and just clicking on nav as soon as I could. The result was it took alot longer than 4 minutes if I did that. You have to wait till its 4.0.0.8. -

OK this is where Im getting a little confused. I clicked on NAV on cdu , tad map came up when I did that. EGI is also lit and has been for about 7 minutes in front of my flight stick(I turned on egi on the right hand panel) and Ive been waiting for 10 minutes now and still cant switch on EAC. Does anyone see the problem here? -

Sorry I made a mistake. What I meant is the EAC wont come on till TGP is turned on and loaded up. -
TY. I cant seem to flip on EAC (near throttle) unless TAD is switched on and loaded up. I was wondering why this is so.

Trackir5 , very important. You can set up your hotas on the keyboard, I used stickers and color coded everything. Its pretty easy to use now.

Ive been dropping it in ccrp mode, no luck at all. I can hit with all the other bombs Ive tried. This one seems to just drop and theres no correction for the bomb fligh path and it just drops. If someone could go over the procedure maybe I can see something im missing.
