I have a thurstmaster 16k, has alot of buttons that arent really easily accessible while flying. I found it easier to just map the hotas to the keyboard. The only buttons I use on the 16k is the trigger, weapons release, a hatswitch i set to trim, and 2 thumb buttons I set to cms jamming and cms forward.

Right but so you know theres no twist in ch stikcs. Im pretty sure x65 has that feautre, so even tho ch is cheaper, you still have to buy rudders.

It worked yesterday. I did a major overhaul of my hotas keys on keyboard, but now when I go to do a training missions and it says "press spacebar to continue" pressing it does nothing. I checked the default keys and the only instances I could find the space bar being used were guns. Any ideas?

Im just using keyboard. Reorganized the entire thing. Trying not to use shift alt ctrl keys for hotas. Everything is easy to get to. Next thing is getting some colored stickers for the keyboard.

Can I assign a single key on the keyboard to TOGGLE between up middle down positions? Example. Boat switch assigned to B. Hitting B moves BS to middle, hitting again switches it to up, hitting again switches to middle, hitting again switches to back. Or do I need to set up 3 keys on the keyboard, designating each position, Or can I go with 2 keys, one clicking it forward and one back (aka clicking this key 2x would move the switch 2 positions forward or back). Ty

Im not a fan of rudder petals, I dont think this has a twist rudder tbh. Cant find it in specs. That would be game breaker for me.

Yes. That would be alot simpler, like with some of the other knobs you can right/left click and drag. Volume not so important and doesnt have that much range to begin with.

Im trying to change the ILS frequency in tenths and 100ths. Any time I right click hold and drag, it just adjusts the volume, and no changes are made to the ILS itself. Am I doing something wrong here. I clicked on every where I can see on that volume knob, and it always does volume. NM I got it. Mouse wheel. Any other way to do this? It turns slow.

Yeah when you type HOTAS CMS theres no hits in flight manual. I found all the others (china dms, boat etc). I think it spells the whole thing out like counter measures system forward where as the hotkey assignment abbreviates. thanks guys.

Hey guys, I cant find anything in the guide about this, but what is Hotas cms forward/down/left/right/ z axis? I did a search in flight manual and no hits, BUT the option is there in hotas commands menu ingame.

I guess you get what you pay for . Hog is 6x more expensive. Im also looking at the x-65f. Im def going to get the x52 or this i think. Also the targeting pod, sorry noob question but is that a part of the a10 system ? Were the pilots not able to zoom, because if not then I will just stick to imersion. thx

Do I have any other realistic choices aside from CH and thrustmaster warthog? I know theres a saitek(x52) with a throttle and lots hot hotas. Anyone use that? Also zooming in , how do you guys do it? Ive been trying to assign it to the mouse wheel with no luck. Thx again for reps.

Thats exactly what I was reffering to but now Im clear on what I must do (set up hotas). Looking for that flightstick picture in the manual now so I can get close as possible.

wow.. 500 .. well I think Ill stick to my tm 16000k . My wife would go jihad on me because I JUST got trackir 5. Im trying to just use joystick and mouse. Can someone tell me how to zoom in and out with mouse wheel? I tried to set it up and it doesnt take. So at the moment Im using the hat to zoom in and out but I know I have to change that.

Ok how about my last question about scaling on tds. was there no OSB and it was done only on the hotas? Thanks for the reply. Also I have a thrustmaster 16000 , as well as a gaming pad I could possibly use for hotas commands . Id like to stick with as much imesrion as I can, and for the sake of it, Im open to suggestions as how I should go about doing this. I am limited in the number of joysticks I can use because I am delegated to use the correct (left) hand when flying:)

hello all. I am in the navigation training session in a10. Im at the part where its talking about working with tad page, and selecting it as sensor of interest (soi). It says to do so press and hold the hotas coolie hat left command or h on the keyboard. Is this how it works in the real plane as well? Or do they just press the tad OSB 15 as I can do in game? For the sake of immersion I wanted to avoid using keyboard or any hotas that these guys didnt have. On that note, I have been noticing alot of "press this key on the keyboard" where it does not show you the button to press in the virtual cockpit. OK here is a perfect example. I want to increase tad scale map. Its asking me to press a hotas dms down command OR the end key. What did a10 pilots do in reality? Did he have a keyboard where he had to press the END key? Seems unlikely.
