A question about markpoints and creating flightplan.
bloomstomb replied to bloomstomb's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
OK Ive been trying this out, Im pretty sure Im doing something wrong because it seems overly complicated. What I have to do is this First mark them all, easy enough, and go into mark mode in steerpt. Now when Im coolie short up, hud astrix, I can flip through the targets easily. BUT, the problem is i have to soi the maverick to fire it, then go back to hud astrix , change target, soi mav cam, china hat forward long, tm short up, fire, Way too many steps. Am I doing something wrong here? -

25 is more than enough tho! And what do I care if they are temporary, those markpoints will be dead soon enough, and I can always wrap around back to A: (it will overwrite the previous markpoint A) -

I see some tutorials out there, they always have them making a flight plan after creating markpoint targets. My question is why? Why not just switch to marker mode, and flip and shoot through targets that way? -
I know there was a tutorial on multi targeting, I cant find it

Damn that wasnt it. It was with the agm's. Is it basically the same principle? Also, would this method work on moving targets? The video I saw, was where this guy locked in the moving targets, then took our 4 of them with agms, switching, locking, switching locking. Cmon anyone? -
I vote easy mode should have top gun music in back round while flying :D I aslo want to say of the simulation mode...... Im glad I am alive at a time sims like this are being made. This is truly the greatest sim I have ever played, and I will buy the next product that dcs sells.

Im going out on a limb here, but I think he was making and attempt at sarcasm.

Falcon was tougher bird to land for sure. This one handles pretty damn good imo.

I dont know.. If its strong enough the break the wings off on a landing, its probably enough to cripple a man for life. Im afraid there wont be any "walking" going on here.

So that would make it impossible to get eac to work?

Only thing I could see at a first glance is one you can zoom out further, and stinks that nose up is 5m maximum zoomout and exp1 2 are 1km and 2km maximum zoomouts.. but still extremely usefull.

I remember it was easy to do in blackshark. I would like to make tad map north up (instead of up being whatever direction my heading is). Is this doable? I just want to be able to read the map thats on the tad basically.

Well Im not sure if this is related, but I am flying over turkey atm (quite far from georgia) and at some point eac just turned off, I get CADC failure , and INS has a fom of 6 now. I cant even turn on EAC. Aligning doesnt fix it either.

Whats the difference between the 2? I do ground, it takes me to t=4.0.0.8 I do inflt it goes to 1.4. 1.0 I can switch on eac when either one is completed, as well as NAV. But inflt seems much easier and takes shorter time to align (i think).. So whats the drawback?

Heres a good one i think wait heres better one.. Second guy sets off flares :)

Hey guys Im not clear on why we need anchor points? Why not just use waypoints? Ok from what I understand, a steerpoint is a waypoint that you have selected on your hud. It seemed kind of unnecessary terminology to me but what the hell. And then theres anchor points. Now what the heck is that good for? Thanks. Signed still quite Noob.

Hey guys, Im going through the guide now, Ihave my page dial set to waypoint, steerpoint dial set to mission. I have waypt 16 up, and I want to set that as my hud steerpoint, which is showing 60 (I want it to be 16 . Is there a easier way to get to it (or faster) other than clicking on the + - steer knob? I was thinking something along the lines of entering 16 into the scratch pad then hitting enter (but it didnt work)
