  1. Thanks , exactly what I was looking for with the map! And the list is awesome too in manual
  2. I fit the whole question in the title. But to repeat, what ways can I see the vhf frequency of the airport Im at? The only one I know is, func 2, divert, select the top airport there. Is there any other ways? easier? Thx
  3. It just means you want to make that missile lead as much as possible to bear on you. So generally I try to fly 90 deg perpendicular, with a high e state. Its ww2 online/ rise of flight/ aces high/ terminology.
  4. I dont know, I never had trouble avoiding sams this game. Just make it a high deflection shot,90 degrees to the missle. Fire off a couple flares and chaffs when missle is close enough and you are ok, oh and keep e level high. So dont go climbing, unless you are out of the range of anyway.
  5. It switches back into stby mode even if you dont break a lock. Try it on the runway, same results.
  6. Oh cool. Im going to try this now. I havent set up mark points as of yet. Man its real funny how that tutorial was so bad for maverics! The way they teach you to use them is the way I never use them. They never even mentioned tgp in that tutorial. However this does seem cumbersome. Isnt there a quick way to flip around targets, releasing mavs?
  7. I have mine set up on the key board . Theres tms up , down, forward and aft. I have to press tms up short to lock on target. I better check the key config, might have assigned it to the wrong one.
  8. Havent tried this yet, this works as well or typo?
  9. Thanks, tms up short did the trick.
  10. OK I have been doing the tutorials as well as looking in the manual. No real problems. Was able to do everything the flight instructor asked. Here is the question I have. I find it much easier to just locate the target through the targeting pod, then point my camera at it, track it and slave everything to that point. I then go into the maveric camera and slave the maveric camera to that exact point. However it does not lock on , even pointing directly at it. What I have to do then is to move the maveric camera around a little to get a lock. Is there a way to get a lock on it, with the maveric camera looking directly at the target without slewing? Because I really dont have to slew since target is right in the middle of the crosshairs.
  11. Id love to see korean peninsula.
  12. Hmm... its a lot easier to just go to ccrp mode then edit and save profiles heheh. But I guess when you are over enemy territory every millisecond can count.
  13. Sorry I should have made it more clear. What I mean is whats the point of switching the gbu 12 PROFILE to ccrp (default is ccpi ) ? I leave it at default ccpi, and only change hud to ccrp , still works fine. The tutorial has you changing the profile to ccrp and saving it . My question is why would you have to do that?
  14. Man would be nice to have the 4ghz quad core going to work on it :)
  15. I mixed up terminology , so much going on. I thought TMS forward was TMS right. I have that sorted out now. It still doesnt change waypoint on hud but I do get a bombing line when I long press it. Its pretty cool too, I can now hit pretty much anything I see, just by slewing around, TMS forward long(correct one) and go for the drop. Couple of things I have noticed. I dont have auto laser on (purposefully) and I still nail things with the gbu38 without using manual lasering. Second, I havent been switching GBU12s to CCRP, and keeping them at ccpi and they still hit exactly where I aim with manual laser. So what exactly is the point of switching the gbu12s to ccpi?
  16. Odd but I dont think TMS forward long does anything for me either. I press it and nothing registers. Waypoint on hud display remains the same.
  17. I can tell you I had a similar problem. I turned latchon off and it worked fine. Of course I am noob, and Im sure latchon serves a purpose, but latchon is def the problem here I think.
  18. ooooh and here I thought I had to ride it the entire time I came in range of ils. That makes perfect sense. One other thing, how do I tell what pattern altitude is for a runway? thx
  19. Thats what they said, but when I dive to that debth the needle on that little ball says Im too low.I just try to follow the 2 ils needles which works fine. Also ty for clearing that up about the 130 course . I thought it was rounding down the 131 lol.
  20. OK im on the divert page now , I dont see 130 tho. On the first divert page (before I click on batumi) I see this. 51 batumi 218/42.2 ttg:7:38 When I click on batumi I see 131.00 I dont see 130 in these screens.
  21. Another question. Im setting HSI course to 130 for the landing training missions where I am landing at batsumi airport. Where did he get 130 from?
  22. I wish we had a some tutorials that would explain things in depth. Did you guys learn things by reading the manual? The tutorials just dont have enough info imo.
  23. runway 13, to pattern altitude. Hey guys I am doing a training mission for landing. The manual does not explain this line . What does "for 35" mean. Im assuming distance. But explain how I would go about using this info I received from ATC. Thanks.
