  1. I see no one gave you an answer, so here are my 2 cents about your question. I still have CV1 and Index, and the difference is noticeable but not a big deal. Thing is - you should get around 50-60 fps without asw to get a pleasant feeling of index with 120/60 hz setting. Reason to that is when you drop below 45 (with motion smoothing on) you will get far more artifacts - comparable to 30-35 for oculus with asw on. So it is related to your hardware. If you can run constant 50-60 fps then index 60 hz is nicer than oculus 45. I felt it when I did some comparisons. Another thing is that at higher altitudes you can get 90 hz and can not get 120 so it is always a trade off...
  2. @Brixmis I just saw your post and I have same problem with pixel inversion in left eye (Very disturbing, dropping you out of VR in the moment you notice it) I asked Steam support for information about fix they want to include in next steam vr beta but they behave like there is no problem. I told them about people on reddit that got message about fix that is underway but they answerd me only with quick sentence that all changes in steamvr are in changelog and could not provide me anyting more information... After that I decided not to cancel my refund process and I am both sad and angry about that. I like the headset and it would be great without this issue but they just do not want to confirm that the issue will be dealt with. Now I read that the fix you are testing still does not sorted it out. I have 1,5 week to send it back and I am curious will they make Pixel Inversion dissapear in this period of time.
  3. Same experience. Before clearing fxo and metashaders unplayable, now I have similar performance to F18.
  4. I noticed also that head is a bit in too forward position. Just lean a bit forward and reset VR position.
  5. I second to that. There should be lower resolution option. I am playing DCS mainly in VR and there is significant performance hit while in cocpit. I hope that Heatblur make lower resolution option for us to increase fps while flying this great aircraft. I have i7 4770k OC to 4.3 and 1080Ti. Edit: Ok my mistake, after deleting shaders chache everything is back to normal. Performance is like in F18.
  6. @David OC I have very simmilar settings. I lowered only Terrain Textures and shadows to low. Playing with 1.5 PD or 1.2 PD with MSAA. Anisotropic set to 4x, cocpit res 1024 and terrain shadows off. In medium mission like 14 aircrafts and carrier on Persian Gulf I am getting 25 fps on carrier deck when looking at other F18, 45 fps in the sky. @DEMON_ Yeah delid and oc to 5.0 would be a lot cheaper... I will consider it, thanks for the advice.
  7. Hi guys, As title says, could someone give me advice is it worth it to change my 5 year old i7 4770k for a new build with i9 9900k for DCS in VR? I am playing mostly in VR. My current performance is nice but not as good as I thought after watching many VR optimization videos about dcs. FPS sometimes go under 45 (ASW ON) and this is strange for 1080TI. I am playing also some CPU demanding games like Total War series and Arma3. Will performance actuallly be significtially improved? Any tips?
  8. Yeah... My childhood dreams cooming true! And I have to say that you can make epic trailer with great music to blow hype! But back to buisness. Just 2 questions. 1) How it works in VR, I am concerned about Jester menu - will it work good? How is the performance with your superB quality cocpit? 2) I played Lomac since 2003 as a kid and made big brake in 2009 till Vr come up. It is game changer for me in simulators area. Short story short I came back with Steam DCS relase option - when will you relase F14 on Steam? Same as in normal launcher or delayed? Any dates?
