Hi All I originally purchased the pre DCSW version of Warthog A10 and have since retuned and updated to DCS world, however I seem to be having some difficulties with installation of 3rd party mods. After some initial problems and help from the community I now have Helios and all my view ports working fine in the new DCS world 1.2.7 version. I am now trying to get TARS installed and again I am hitting problems with forums / readme files stating installation paths I just don't have etc. Anyway I have installed TARS and linked it to my TS3 plugins etc however the problem is TARS will not see my DCS world installation? Tars keeps pointing to my saved games\dcs folder and installs but keeps stating "Game Not Found"???? If I try and repoint it to my main folder (program files\eagle dynamics\DCS world) I get a messaging saying path does not contain DCS user file. Can anyone help? This is what I get at the moment

Yeah I have my export.Lua for Helios in scripts folder. If I run the TARS install it adds the do file line TARS .Lua. however it still states game not found (installed) in green text in the TARS control panel. ?? It doesn't seem to see the a10 module as per manual images.

Doesn't really seem to address my issue. I was looking for a more comprehensive installation guide for DCS world 1.2.7. Although the ones I've found including the manual installation in the actual TARS read me seem to reference different obsessions I.e A10 beta folders which I haven't got.

I entered the code on the CNTL page. Should I actual enter it and press the the LSS obs? It actual worked the other day and come to think of it I may have tried the above and not realised it had worked.

Quick question. As a refresh I am flying some old JTAC tutorials by Dragon. On one mission I am loaded with CBU97 and the JTAC calls laser marking of target. I go through normal comms / approach, setting laser code as instructed etc and request 'laser on' from JTAC with the general target area in TGP (provided by 9line chords). I then press LSS and ........ Get 'nolaser'. What I'm I doing wrong? Am I correct that JTAC is using the laser to point to target and should be lasing precise target and that the LSS (search) should lock on? Regardless of my munitions? I also presume that if I had GBU then I could also use it to home the bong onto target after release?

Hey Thanks Skate - Got Helios working after a few mins.:thumbup: For the benefit of anyone having trouble post today. (I haven't included full paths but you should get the idea) Basically had to manually create the 'Saved Games\DCS\Scripts' as Skatezilla said. I don't think this was clear in previous posts. I then ran the Helios profile editor, opened my Loz2.1 profile, reset monitors then pointed. Selected the DCS A10 interface and pointed it to 'Program files\eagle dynamics\DCS World' and clicked setup. I then had to copy the export.lua file from 'Program files\eagle dynamics\DCS World\config\export\' folder and paste it into the newly created (step 1) 'Scripts' folder. Thanks again for help guys. I will now need to sort out my viewports.

Sounds good if you have room I'd be interested. A10 cold start please. .

Hey thanks guys especially Skatezilla. I really appreciate the time you took to reply. I will give it a go tomorrow and report back. I already have my mfd working as I use separate lilliput monitors/ cougar MFD setup but Wil attempt to sort the other viewpoints etc. I was using the loz2.1 profile but reading through posts it seems the radios bindings are no longer working? Will have to see or use gadrocs.

:cry:Hi I have just returned from a bit of a break and updated to 1.2.7. however I cant get helios to work (gauges to update etc). I have gone through the forum and found some post such as this http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=102034 but it is a bit confusing. For starters I don't have the 'scripts' folders mentioned in my saved games\DCS folder?? This is actually under my main DCS world install?? Can anyone help and provide me with a step by step as to what I need to do to get Helios up and running in this new version please? Any help much appreciated.

Still cant see the setting in General??? Any ideas? I even uninstalled/ reinstalled RP - nada in general tab regarding sweetfx Using the Previe exe. and RP states 1.1.1.0 !!!

Hi, I am running the latest Radeonpro 1.1.1.0 Beta - cant seem to find the section you mean in the "general settings"? Also do I just extract all the SweetFX files to a new folder and then point radpro to that?

Happy Days DO I have to / How do I ........install the old 'LOMAC' via DCS world or is this a stand alone installation as per pre dcs world days? I have the Lock on Gold discs...is there now a module? Oh and if I do have to install FC. Then once I have installed FC3 can I unistall FC1?

What happens to user configs? keys, screen, specific edited lua file etc? I presume on uninstall some of the user specifc files are kept but which ones? I havent purchased P51 yet but interested in DCS world. Not sure if I get the whole P51 thing? - Without other WW2 enemy / missions etc ...seems a bit pointless. Am I missing something?

Also I found this vid informative even though it relates to a fast mover. Different techniques but some applicable elements.

The performance is ok at the moment but since I've added the mfcd screens I've had to reduce some settings to maintain 30fps. I am not at pc at monent but setting are Basically; Texture / scenes high Water low Shadows Medium Hblur off Msaa off TSAA off Hdr cold with tweak Bushes 100 Tree vis 1500 I'm thinking if I could get the 7970 now and then upgrade Mono/CPU in a few months.
