Sorry to hear that...and i know it is so frustrating as I have also spent ages trying to resolve. Let us know how the alternate G2 goes. Also what cable you have? Revision 1 or 2. The rev 2 has a power switch i believe.

They are in the folder ...Config / MonitorSetup. You will find these in your DCS main folder and possibly in your Saved Games\DCS folder (If you have modded etc). As i said it didnt do nothing for me but an another users found it resolved his issues as he was using a file with UI Exports in it.

A friend of mine deleted his Monitor.LUA (s) and said that helped. Didnt do anything for me but worth a shot. As I said I couldnt get mine to perform at all so gave up waiting for new fixes. Open XR , Multi Thread etc.

I dont have the permission pop up issue ...just the Stuttering.... Had it since beginning. I did have an issue with the G2 and AMD 570 Motherboard....i.e. Not connecting to any on board USB port so I have had to use a Hub as workaround. I am now getting the new Rev2 Cable from HP which apparently solves this well documented problem. I don't think this will resolve the stutters but thought I would mention.

I have same issues. Have you tried using "FPSVR" to see where your FPS is being lost..CPU/GPU? It is a good program and provides frametimes etc. I also moved from rift s to G2 on DCS. I think its something to do with reprojection but have never resolved it.....in the end went back to 2D and trackir...... hoping the promised multi core / performance update will fix it.

You are best raising a support ticket with ED. I had similar issue which they resolved.

I understand this is a known issue but it is now even worse. Are there any confirmed plans to address this on the projected road map?

I get the same thing with 3900x . I have tried everything and cant get it lower....I have literally run on as low setting as you can get and nothing changes! .... I have tried every known external change (AV, Pre Render, AGU, HPET etc etc) and again Nada.....Its not environmental as doesn't happen with other programs...it is exclusive to DCS. Looks like NO VR until Vulkan whenever that may be !!!!

I had the same thing but HP sent me a new headset (No change) and then a new cable which I was convinced wouldnt resolve it. The cable had never really been moved as I only use VR for DCS/Elite................ The cable fixed it! Still no joy in getting better CPU Frametimes and reducing stutter.....I have tried everything now and every setting! Even on low settings it is the same! I tried some other games maxed out (Elite) and no an issue ...CPU usage and Frametime all good.....My conclusion is that DCS (especially VR) is absolutely useless at using modern CPU and its luck of the draw if it works!

Thanks Andre. So SSA is the same as the Sound Module and adds to export.lua? The sound module is an expansion of SSA?

Quick question as i have been trawling for this thread and still need clarity. Is the following correct? Simshaker for Aviators - uses normal game sounds to generate vibrations. Sound module - uses discreet sounds generated by specific dcs events via export.lua. You require both. I intend to run over my onboard realtek sound card and use USB headset / G2 headset for audio. I presume this will work?

Still trying everything but FPS/Frametime remain the same. Even if i set DCS to low settings! Also shader mod doesnt save any FPS at all? Weird

Been doing some changes / tests. Disabling/Enabling HPET doesn't seem to make any difference to FPS or CPU Frametime Pre Rendered Frames was set to 1 (so no change) ICUE and all other none essential services stopped - No difference Im kind of stumped now ...... another 16GB mem arriving tomorrow so will test again.

Thanks all. Thanks again Cap. I disabled all the usual culprits (game mode etc) and have DOCP enabled in bios which i believe is XMP? (Motherboard is Asus prime 570x pro). I will check the pre rendered frames as i might have this on 3...might be it! What's HPET? I never install Geforce experience but do have ICUE ..so will disable that as well.

Funny enough 20H2!! Do you believe this is the issue? Yeah I run DOCP in bios (same thing I believe). There is definitely something not right comparing it to you/toffy! Might try rolling back the OS to 1909. Doesnt appear I can roll back now

This post has been so useful!!! I was really struggling with G2 but thanks to Captain Helmets recommendations it is SOOOOO much better. However I just wanted to check my CPU usage. At the moment I just cannot get below 27 CPU Frame time no matter what settings I have and wanted to check this is correct? Has anyone got experience with a 3950x? My Spec / Settings are as follows: CPU: Ryzen 3900x set to SMT OFF profile and running at 4300 on all cores. No Auto OC or PB. GPU: RTX 2080TI (Asus ROG Strix) - Overclocked to 1800 and 16100 Mem clock. MEM: 16GB 3600 DDR4 (another 16 arriving shortly!) DCS set to PD 1. SVR Set to Global 100% / DCS 54% Textures: High Terrain: Low Water: High Visibility: Med Shadows: Med (Hate it without shadows!) MSAA x 4 (no difference on x 2 really) CLutter 100% Tree Vi 80% Preload - Half way on Slider. Ani - x 8 Terrain Shadows: Flat (with Flat Tree remover etc) Thanks for any help PS Obviously trying to get hold of a 3080 but alas no joy. But now wondering if it would it be better to get a 5950x CPU first?
