  1. Put it on "repetitive action" and it will keep going till you turn it off with a flag or trigger. Same goes for flares.
  2. I can't believe ED is making us wait this long and has not done a hot fix to address the issues on this thread and the CTD that is going on when you slave George to a target. This module is virtually unplayable for me now.
  3. Thanks, that would be a nice trigger feature to add to the editor now that we have various stages of fog and dust. In real world scenarios they would turn on the lights in foul weather even though it's 2 pm in the afternoon.
  4. Hi guys, is there a trigger or setting that allows us to force the runway lights on?
  5. I see this crash on a regular basis with George. I thought it was mod related but it's not. I have tried creating a clean no mod mission and still get it happening. The crashes are not related to multiplayer or single. It happens with both modes. It's something they broke in the last patch. I keep hoping to see a fix released but this much be a bigger issue in the game now
  6. Thanks guys, I am aware of the web editor and am supporting it as a patron. I keep playing with it but don't find it as easy to use as the native DCS editor given I have so much time in learning it. I just need to breakdown and put in the time with the Web Editor. I just find it hard to believe that we haven't seen that feature added to the current native DCS editor. Again, I do appreciate the feedback.
  7. stand by See if you can open this one, it is not in ZIP format. Also if your a Helo guy, me and my friend fly Apache's almost every night and I'm pretty good a building missions. I'll send you a couple if you want. iraq_rescueorfight LJ.miz
  8. Rocket302, I noticed a couple things. first off your bad guys are very close to the troops so based on your having the escort command set for the Helo which means he will engage with any of the troops within a parameter of the troops. Also, the troops are already shooting at the Helo when it spawn in so it's going evasive. I would start with the follow command, followed by an orbit waypoint with a set time for the orbit duration. Then on the 3rd waypoint I would set it as the escort waypoint. Below are my reasons why. 1. Upon spawn the Helo is immediately running from ground fire the moment it gets in and is going defensive thus the erratic actions of the Helo. Consider moving the enemy troops farther away, or spawn them in based on a particular timer or trigger. 2. The escort command means the Helo will search for enemy's within a certain radius of the troops and then attack them. Look at the mission uploaded to you and look at how I did the Helo. I start with a "follow" then "orbit" then Escort. *Note, I moved your enemy ground far away so you see how the Helo behaves without it being shot at. The minute the troops appear or get within a certain distance from the friendly troops the Helo and friendly troops will begin to engage with each other iraq_rescueorfight (1).miz
  9. Title says it all, DCS would really take a huge step forward by giving us a split screen visualizer so we can place objects exactly in the right place without having to run the mission only to see that the object is in the wrong position we intended it to be. Going in and out really costs us a lot of time. Forgive me if this topic is already posted somewhere.
  10. I did some testing and the issue seems inconsistent for me and my three flying mates. The fog does impact George but it isn't stopping him from seeing targets. I tried with fog on/off and while he sees targets farther out without fog he saw them. The moment we got into multiplayer, he stopped working every time. This is pretty easily duplicatable. We also had him stop working in single player. We thought that it was a particular map or one of my missions. However, when we tested on the canned training missions we had the same result with George not seeing targets at all in one instance and then on another instance he sees them.
  11. My suggestion would be to give them an orbit waypoint to keep them on station. I would also put a search and destroy in WP0 so that if you spawn something else in later they will attack it and when done go back to orbiting. Is your mission an Apache mission? If so send me a DM and I'll share one of my escort missions with you to try.
  12. Mike, I just saw the post. If your well versed in the aircraft we would love to have you join us. We fly almost every night around 7 to 8 PM ET. Let me know.
  13. I second this request, I would also like to add a moving or animated images that change with the briefing. I do this now via the F10 menu but it's very time consuming
  14. I have spent hours making really cool FARP's for my missions and I have been able to turn many of them into templates that I can reuse. However, I wish the editor would be to allow us to go into a "Template mode" and include "ALL" objects that we place down as part of the template. Right now the editor won't allow me to include both static objects and units as part of a template. If it does, then please educate me. So my ask is to please allow us to include both static objects and units as part of a template. Second, it would be nice if you guys would to update the FARP's in general and give us some pre-made detailed FARP's as templates that are diverse and realistically populated with various items etc. Thanks in advance!
