  1. I'm posting here because I haven't had much luck in the other sections of the site. Me and a couple other DCS homies are looking for one or two U.S. based people that can join us on a regular basis to fly fairly advanced missions that we build. We have our own TeamSpeak server and host all our own missions. We try and fly every chance we get during the week and weekend evenings after work and family. We don't have a set day per say so we all actively check in on each others availability via text in the evenings to see who is a go and who isn't. We are located in the eastern and mountain time zone. Our missions are fairly advanced and often have multiple objectives including air refueling. So if you are interested you might want to practice refueling. Our mission also uses many of the more popular mods so you must be willing to mod your game to fly with us. As for our style of flying, we like to work as a team assigning roles and targets. To survive our missions you have to work together or you will die. In my missions if you try and be a cowboy you will die. If you don't adhere to real-world tactics, you will die, if you disengage from the group and try to get that last enemy fighter out there that isn't a threat to us, you will die. Team work is a must to survive and have fun with us. So if your looking to fly some really good missions with a couple friendly guys that know their way around the F18 and carrier ops then reach out. If your a NOOB then your still welcome provided your willing to put in the time to learn. At the end of the day for us it's about flying in a semi-realistic fashion, comradery and having fun doing something together. Feel free to PM or email me larryjones.lv@gmail.com if your interested.
  2. Your welcome to join us, we fly nightly but only the F18 and you would need PG, Syria, and Caucus.
  3. Your welcome to join me and my flying partner we are flying the F18, let me know.
  4. Me and my buddy are looking for someone else to join us for regular nightly flying. We are willing to train if your open to the F18
  5. Me and my buddy fly nightly and would be open to having someone join us. We fly the F18 with heavily modded maps. PM me if interested we are US based and in the CT and MT time zones.
  6. Me and one other guy fly nightly, we are in MT and CT however we fly pretty late which could fit easily into your timezone. PM me if your interested in flying with us. We fly the F18 and build all our own missions. We could accommodate another type of plane if you were a regular with us and didn't want to fly the F18.
  7. If your interested in joining us we would be happy to help you come up to speed. We fly almost nightly but whatever works for your schedule is fine. We fly the F18 exclusively and we fly in the Caucus, PG and Syria. Other thing you would need to do is install our MODS, we again would help you with that if you wanted. Send me a PM if your interested. We are in ET, and MT zones.
  8. I'm going to jump on this wagon, I stumbled onto the feature and have it working perfectly in Single Player but when I tired it in MP the result surprised me and did not work for anyone. I thought I did something wrong till I saw this post. If someone gets it to work in MP let me know how you did it.
  9. High Joshticoun0, are you still looking for flying buddies? We are looking for a good F18 driver to join me and another flying buddy. We build all our own missions and try to adhere to best practices of military protocol but at the end of the day its about having fun. Our missions are fairly challenging but if we work as a group very doable. If your interested in talking more feel free to reach out. BTW we do fly with MODS so you would need to be willing to install them. Larry Jones larryjones.lv@gmail.com
  10. If you don't want them to land, simple add an Orbit function to the DP or add a wp switching so they fly between two waypoints.
  11. First off let me say how much I have enjoyed his ME series. They have been instrumental in me learning how to build missions that really impress my homies. This was very helpful and I will use this picture feature with an audio clip playing behind it. I think I will also trigger it from the (F10) menu with the use of "Add Radio Button" feature so the client can play it at will or bring it up at will. Once again thanks for this tip!
  12. I create a lot of great missions and I'm looking for a way to have the briefing automatically play an audio file when the player enters it. I can do it once we are in the plane but wanted to know if there is a trick that I didn't know about that would play the briefing text when the user enters the briefing screen at the beginning of the mission?
  13. You would be welcome to come fly with me and my other friends. We build all our own missions and are looking for someone that can join us on evenings and weekends for some missions. Our missions run the gambit of every type. email me at larryjones.lv@gmail.com if you are still interested
  14. I to would love to know if it is possible to modify the briefing. This tool is fantastic and I contributed to the project. Someone tell me if the briefing can be changed or modified

  16. I haven't tried it but you might be able to create a template much like the radar installations etc.... Then all you have to do is click a single button and place them where you want.
  17. Maybe I am missing what your after but I place a cow and then CTRL Copy and CTRL Paste and I have a quick easy herd
  18. There is nothing I have ever seen in my travels. I have created pre-built templates with objects around the bases. Very painful to create and yes it's the same stuff every time you get in.
  19. Hi there, me and one of my other close friends fly multiplayer missions on a regular weekly if not daily basis and are looking for one or two other guys to join us. We are in the ET and MT zones and usually fly in the evenings after dinner. We host our own TeamSpeak and Flight servers. We always attempt to work as a team but aren't supper regimented like some of the formal squadrons out there. That being said, we do try to adhere to flight procedures and communications during flight. So, if your interested in giving us a try feel free to contact me via PM or my email @ larryjones.lv@gmail.com
  20. On since the patch before today's patch I have seen a change in the spawning too, my discovery is that now you can't have any statics on the starboard elevators otherwise my players get a delayed start. The rear port elevator doesn't seem to play into it. So now I don't put any statics on the elevators or anywhere forward of the main tower. Since doing that no more spawning issues.
  21. I play almost exclusively in MP and I run a lot of MOD's and am able to build missions in every map including Syria. I have noticed since the last release that both server and clients are seeing more game crashes than prior to this release. But over all we are cracking on with no real playability issues. I have over 40+ Syria maps. Each one I create has a Day, Night, and Weather variant. Last note, we also use Supper Carrier in all the maps I build. If repair doesn't fix your issue and ED doesn't give you a magic fix, I suggest you save your personal settings and then delete everything and reinstalling. Good luck!
  22. Thanks for the reply. I agree that for the "Cleared Pre-contact" message you can literally be just about anywhere in the map and get that message. It's the "Cleared-Contact" that brings out the hose and grants you permission to connect and take fuel. It's that message that I'm talking about. To be clear, we have zero issues getting the "Cleared Pre-contact" response. Getting the tanker to grant the plane "Cleared Contact" has not been so easy for us in MP. We have done tests with positioning to get the "Cleared Contact" message. There seems to be a lot of inconsistency on where you are how close, how far, how high you need to be to get it every time. For example last night, the first guy that asked to connect, the tanker cleared him in from quite a distance back. The rest of us afterwards then had a hell of a time getting the tanker to give the "Cleared Contact" message. I will try the positioning you suggest but the challenge is that once one other plane is connected and taking fuel, to go to that position is dangerously close to the other pilot taking fuel. We have also fueled from an S3B, one at a time. Again it seems that after the first plane connects and finishes, the rest of us have a hard time getting the "Cleared Contact" message. Come join us and see for yourself? We would love to have you fly a mission with us. Send me an email at larryjones.lv@gmail.com and I'll give you our connect info. :)
  23. How are you illuminating the basket like that. We do night refueling and NVG's are blinding, so we turn our Gamma way up to see the basket. Educate me on what your doing to see the basket without cheating and turning up the Gamma? Also, I just posted about the inconstancy of getting "Cleared Pre-Contact" and as the host, I see the baskets as always out even when they aren't. Do you guys see that
  24. I fly almost exclusively in MP and we see a lot of issues around refueling and I know we can't be the only ones seeing this bug. This bug happens on all maps. I will provide a track but I doubt you need one, no matter who hosts we see these issues. 1. Getting the tanker to accept us and say "Cleared Contact" is very inconstant and very frustrating. Sometimes we have to be literally on top of the tanker and sometimes we don't. We are very good at formation flying and we are all struggling with getting the cleared contact message. Please fix this. We should not have to be dangerously close to the tanker to get it to clear us. 2. As the host, the hoses always appear out for me but not really there. I have to ask one of the others if they see the hose for me. I consider this a major bug as I can never be sure if the hose it out or not. One other comment, because we fly with 3 or more pilots the AI needs to be able to identify who is being cleared. We should all be able to "ALL" check in with the tanker and the tanker should clear us to connect based on the order we checked in and identify the plane number that is to connect next. For example plane 001 you are cleared to connect, when that plane is done, plane 002 you are cleared to connect, etc. It's easy to get confused as to who the tanker is talking to because it doesn't call out the plane number. Clearly we have learned to chat it up about who is calling in, but it would be nice if the AI managed us in the same manner as real flights are manged. I hope this makes sense. Adding a wee bit of intelligence to the AI here would really help those of us that fly longer missions in groups and have no choice but to refuel if we are to survive and finish the mission.
  25. I have also noticed many of the things pointed out here, then I remembered.....it's considered an early access map. I think there is a lot of work still to do before it rivals the other maps. Night lighting does not match the new lighting of the PG and Cauc maps. My point is, give it some time and I'm sure we'll all see it improve with each patch coming down the pipe.
