Hey ED guys, I am trying to join a squadron and they are playing the Open Beta stand-a-lone version. Like many I bought on Steam and had no idea I would be locked into one platform or the other. When I installed the open beta it saw some of my keys but not the ones I cared about, I.E. Hornet, Harrier, Nevada, Persian Gulf.. and probably a few other modules I can't remember. Is there a way to get me off Steam all together so I can run on the open beta and not on the Steam version? If this isn't being addressed then I would respectfully request you make sure Steam users get a big pop up when trying to purchase there.

How do I transfer all my CD Keys, The beta isn't seeing all my keys from Steam?

Yes I have, I have checked and double checked. When I test in the controls screen everything reports back properly. But when I get in the cockpit, the throttle works the rudders, the slider works the throttle. I can' figure it out.

I am not imaging things when I login to the game and the controls for every aircraft work fine but the F18. I spend more time trying to fix them than I do flying the F18. Why is my throttle always working the rudders? I just don't fricken get it! The pisser is I can't fix it by going into the Controls Setup. I have the most popular set of controls used by DCS simmers, I have all TM Warthog HOTAS and Rudders and everything is the latest version! WTF is wrong? This has to be a bug and I can't be the only one seeing this. The one thing a Sim should be able to get right are the controls.

Guys, I'm a Navel Combat Vet, I have seen what a bomb will do and this game comes nowhere near the damage a mark 82 will do if you drooped it within 10 yards of a target it's going to have a serious affect on whomever was in the vehicle, building, fox hole, or whatever. You blow up a tank, the secondaries go off for what seems like forever. It burns black smoke and smolders for hours. Don't tell me I'm looking for Hollywood effects. A burning Iranian gunboat can be seen for miles on the horizon. What I'm suggesting is not crazy Hollywood effects, just get closer to what reality is, and because this is a game, give us a button that will allow a wee bit of exaggeration of the affect. The movies will be better that the user create. ..LOL

I feel the explosions and secondary explosion are underwhelming? Additionally the blast radius seems too small for many of the bombs. I realize realism is king but this is a visual game. Give us a config button that exaggerates the explosions, missal trails, and blast radius, smoke, etc. Watch real videos of aircraft being shot down, they are flaming balls of fire all the way down to the ground. The game seems to break them up many times into just a few small pieces of falling smoke. The team did a great job on the world for the most part, epically the water effect. Give us more visual explosions. Point #2, are there plans to upgrade the graphics engine to something that is ultra real yet still provides fluid motion of play? The shooters seem to be able to do it, are there plans to bring a new graphics engine to this product family?

Hi guys, I am fairly new to DCS. I have watched YouTube but can't find something that answers my questions. First off I can't get the cockpit to be clickable. When I use the keystroke LALT C I get a mouse target in the cockpit but I can't click on anything. Not one button responds. What am I missing? Also when I look at the key bindings, I can not find anything for master arm. I can not get any of my missiles to fire. I have programed a weapon release button but no joy, I'm guessing its because I can't turn on Master Arm? HELP!

Not sure what tank icon your talking about, any possibility you do a screen shot and point to what your referencing? Sorry in advance for my blindness! :huh:

Ah! I can not see other units. I just realized I can't see any of them. Where do I enable 2D view? I can't find it in the menus.

When I place a ship I.E. any ship using the editor I can't see the ship, I see the icon for the ship but not the ship itself. I deleted everything thinking I had corrupted something and reinstalled clean looking to fix it but notta! Can someone tell me what's wrong? I am not using any mods and am working from a fresh install of 2.5.2.
