461.71 driver it was the driver don't know why yet but reading on the NVIDIA forums some people like myself RTX3080s having issues with these drivers. roll back 461.40 fixed them.

Well don’t know why on mine not, but I have a RTX 3080 and others are reporting the same issues with their 3080s . Might be my i9900k or could be a bottle neck? 4000 MHz ddr4 i9900k, RTX 3080. ? Ghost in the machine. Just glad I found the issue.

so it turns out the latest nvidia drivers are fubared for the G2 and the RTX 3000 series cards. 461.72. don't use them for the RTX 3000 series nothing but issues with VR. for me any ways, the v1168 Steam VR is a big boost for the G2. Im seeing 70fps.

found the issue its the latest NVIDIA drivers. something to do with RTX 3080's or 3000 series. I rolled back to the NVIDIA 461.40 and the RGB purple strip and frame loss is gone.

here's some more applications issues with the new updates from Steam VR. Reverb G2 loading up after loading up playing so not sure what to make of this all started on wednesday, when Steam VR broke with the latest update for open xr VR, and DCS world Open beta not sure who broke which side. but it's VR related.

dcs022820210710.log debrief.log here you go I still cant get instant maps to work the UI is smooth with great fps, in the G2 but as soon as I start the instant Normandy, P51D20na dogfight mission it craps out and take 10 minutes to load, back ground, after the update wednesday I did the usual repair and deleted the shader folder and FXO. When the game is loading the temp folder where it uploads, and the write /rewrite happens for DCS; I guess it's caching this area; fills my hard drive to full capacity. causing it to stutter. never had this happen all app show smart drive the Hard drives are healthy.

It will be a few days, when I get back.

it like the motion blur isn't working after wednesday update with DCS World OB and Steam VR open Xr now I have no idea whats killed the DCS frames to 7fps all maps, the UI is a solded 70fps. IL2 works no issues after the SteaM OPEN XR UIPDATE.

this is what I'm getting now the Damn G2 is not framing right anymore after they did something.

the last update my G2 no longer works with DCS it freaks out stutters and double screen stutter.

Probably no missions for that weapons platform update yet? That’s my guess.

Turns out is a power issue with coming from C direct from the RTX2080 card to placing it on the 3.1 USB PCIE, Express Slot seems to me not enough power is goin g to the headset. I get bluescreen in the head set when turn on DCS World it seems to be only DCS with this issue ATM.

Yes on the motherboard yes the G2 came with an adapter for C to USB, I plugged it into a 3.1 extension card on the pcie_e express_1 module and the first 5 3.1 USB lack enough power, so I had to use another 3.1 USB extension plugged into that card but still getting blue screen in the headset; funny I have the brick it came with plugged into, you would think that’s enough, but no wish these damn RTX 3080 had a C plug in. video cards they require 3x 8pin plugs you would think they would have it.

ok it seems since I had to move the C connector from the 2080 direct Video power card had, and on the 3080 there isn't one, I'm having power cycle issues now. Because I had to move to a USB C connector now there seems to power issue.

its only in DCS, every time 3 to 7 seconds of buffering it seems. its not doing it on the monitor only in the head set.

as soon as I start DCS and immediately. yea its defiantly DCS open world beta, on my Reverb G2 constant stutters now wasn't like this Wednesday. steam vr v1165 the motion blur is on and ill try it off and see. but all the other flight sims I'm not having this issue. also the overlay in DCS world states I have no video ram. is this the same for you guys?

DCS World open beta VR seems to be broken. Crashes or receives a bogus call code to shut down. while I'm busy trying to start up!!! well todays beta update; Steam VR, I'm DCS crashing every time I start now. Steam VR and or WMR. either one causes a crash.

Man I knew I should of paid the 500$ more! But I’m getting good results with the 3080, you’re 3090 should have no issues with 150%. And manually set you’re fans to 88%. Temps should stay around 60c.

that means its 45 per eye, or LCD panel. so you're getting 90. Do you see 90 in the UI menu? if so you're good but then again this is map defendant. I'm at 3168 x 3092 motion on, and this latest Steam VR is fubared; I'm crashing al ot.
