Thanks for the reply! I had forgotten about repairs and updates reverting it. Perhaps I will just rename my favorite skins in saved games to something like '1a xxxx' so that it moves them to the top of list.

In the mission editor,when you go to an aircraft's armament tab, there are several 'stock ' skins to choose from. In my previous setup (Just built a new 'idiot box') I had gone in and removed and stored them,placed my favorite skin in the folder so I did not have to scroll thru the list every time I built a mission. I can not remember where the folder(s) are and can't seem to locate them. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm already using your VF-2 skin,but it could be a little better! In 1987 and 88 I was Assigned to the Carrier Air Wing 2 aboard the USS Ranger. VF-1 "Wolf Pack" and the VF-2 "Bounty Hunters" were in Our Wing. So, an NE on the tail and Ranger on the "glove" would look much better to me! I was shanghaied! They were short an Attack Squadron, So VMA(aw)121 got orders for "the boat" I was a red shirt/Black stripe roof rat for the next 2 years.

Did You make the WesPac in '87? I was with VMA(aw)121 For that Cruise and for Team Spirit in '87.

There is a reason they are called Scooters,They are SMALL! I worked on A-6's but helped out on Scooters a few time (especially at WTI's for any of you other old Jarheads :megalol:) I was told they weighted less than the fuel of an Intruder,no idea if it if that is true. I knew some of there pilots and was told by more than one that the roll rate was so fast and the cockpit so small,you had to brace yourself or it would bounce your head off the canopy!

In post #35,that is not a HUD. It's just a simple reflector sight. The large dial on the left of the housing is how you set the MIL's for manual bombing.

If you are using Cougar MFD's,the little rockers work great! :P

Yes,The MFD's come two to a set. I have had one set for a while,so I only need to buy another set. The little "button box" to the far left is simply USB NumPad. :megalol: I Used my income tax refund to buy an Oculus Rift. I decided to build a cockpit so I could have everything in a fixed position.

Finally got it all together!

Most (if not all) VMFA(aw) Squadrons used to be A-6 intruder equipped VMA(aw) Squdrons. Case in point,Two of my old squadrons, VMA(aw)242 "Bats" and VMA(aw)121 "Green Knights" both transitioned into F-18D's shortly after I got out . VMFA (aw) 121 has now transitioned into F-35's.Not sure what thier proper designation is now. Edit: Went and looked it up, VMFA(aw)121 is now Just VMFA-121.

Came home from work,opened DCS OpenBeta and let it update while I took my shower. Now,I can't get it to launch. I see my authorization and login crawls ,I get the The black DCS World splash screen for about 2 seconds,then strait back to desks top. I have tried updating again and repairing,still no luck.My Vanilla version loads with no problem. Any Ideas? :(
