Used to be OK, now getting out with Ctrl+E ends like this. CPG is stuck for good, you need to move the chopper to set him free, pilot is stuck for a moment between Hellfires but it is possible to move him out of the trap. Happens all the time, in every mission Probably not an important bug to fix, but when you're a content creator and want a good, immersive sequence, it's annoying

So where can you find old version of Caucasus map... -
Can you roll back to Caucasus before the update? Unplayable in VR...
dmatt76 replied to dmatt76's topic in DCS: Caucasus
I fly many different maps, I have deleted fxo/meta every now and then, but I've never noticed any difference with old fxo/meta and after deleting. However, I've noticed for the first time frame drop on Caucasus to the point, that Syria runs much better in VR, without any tree flickering -

No, I will try, but I have never had to do it before... -
The Caucasus map was the only good map to fly in VR for me - butter smooth performance! Now, after the update it is unplayable, stuttering and slideshhow mostly above buildings and trees flickering different shades of green constantly, possibly shadow problem... Could have done some backup version... Now I'm stuck with orange Nevada...

Just playing with George all new features and noticed it can detect enemy targets "hidden" in the editor, waitng for their activation. There is nothing ahead in the terrain, nothing on F10 map, but George after a search command, displays a full list of the hidden targets to attack

I did some comparison Sniper vs Litening, extreme conditions: - 17 000 ft - 20 miles I really can think of any reason of using the Sniper. I don't know if the Litening is unrealisticly overpowered or the Sniper is reduced alot in its capabilities for some reason. This is a direct comparison with FLIR max zoom and TV vs max XR, so... why bother with Sniper? No reason at the moment... It seems useless.

Kola Development Report | Bat Bomb Progress | F4U-1D on Finals
dmatt76 replied to Graphics's topic in Official Newsletters
30 years ago we could get all the planes, all the battles, all the ships, maps, great realism, ubeatable immersion in one package - on a few floppies... Now we are happy if we get one plane with not much else after years of waiting... -

SAVE / EXPORT - confusing names...
dmatt76 replied to dmatt76's topic in DTC - Data Transfer Cartridge
No, thanks But still - it is confusing. It should be saved automatically within *.miz files and "save as" should save it on a disk as DTC... -
I've tested DTC and it seems like options SAVE / SAVE AS just create a temporary session file for as long as we stay in the editor. It doesn't actually save any file. When you quit the editor, you will loose that files. The only way to save file to your disk is EXPORT option. Is it suppose to work that way? "Ghost" files saved only for editor session and "export" for actual save?
