Can you enjoy the sim without TIR? Probably so. However using TIR will take that enjoyment to a whole new level. Once you are trained to use TIR you will not want to fly with out it. Getting the hatswitch back is nice too, there is no shortage of button commands in this sim.

Well I was having issues, but I figured out what I was doing wrong. If you have route following enguaged the Auto Hover won't function. Took me awhile to figure that out. :doh: Thought I would post it out here for someone else having the same issue.

CH products has my vote hands down. I've been through many Logitechs and Saiteks. My CH gear is rock solid, and has been for over 5 years with heavy use. I have the Fighterstich, Pro Pedals, Yoke, and Franken Potatoe custom Throttle. TIR is a must for any simmer. I won't fly without it...period!

Do you have the AC generators enguaged? (RH panel next to the battery toggles) Also, if using TIR I find the need to re-center occasionally to get the hud back into view.

I dont Know when they are comming out yet either, but I am also interested in the VR1440. I know there are applications out there to allow you to use a secondary PC as a second monitor. Here is one I found in a google search... http://www.maxivista.com/download.htm I am not sure if it can be used with DCS however. I would think there is hope though...

Great idea! It would also be cool to see if there is custom audio and in what language. Are there any user made campaigns out yet?

For me, hitting the pause button to read a paragraph of text is an immersion killer... I wish I knew Russian, lol.

This sim is so immersive that I often miss the text translation. That usually results in me missing mission critical information and having to restart the mission. English voice add-on mods would be so nice...

I had an issue last night with the Deployment campaign on the Narzan Valley mission. I hit fly, I did'nt un-pause the game. I realized I needed to turn on my CH profile, so I exited the sim. When I got back into the mission to fly the campaign had incremented to the Rescue mission. I ended up re-starting the campaign from the beginning because I did'nt want to skip any missions. I was also ready to turn off the icons and turned invulnerability off, so no big deal really. Moral of the story...Don't leave the mission unless you are truly ready to move to the next one...just in case.

If you are a true flight simmer you CANNOT deny yourself this title. It is the most accurate study sim available. The immersion is uncomparable to anything else on the market today IMO.

I fly with Aurora bass shakers, very similiar to the buttkickers. It enhances ALL of my simming. It's great for music and movies too. I can highly reccomend.

Is there any way to use a virtual kneeboard in the sim? It would be cool to use for checklists and such.

I just saw a Black Shark promo vid where the pilot took a couple puffs and flicked his smoke out the door before closing it. Can this be enabled in the real game? At the end of the video was a set of....legs ;) can that be enabled too...lol :music_whistling: Here's the vid..

I am camaigning with absolutly no issues on Vista64. All sliders up, FPS 30-70 @ 1280x1024. Q6600@3.2, 4 Gig RAM 1066, GTX260 216 core Black edition, X-FI Fatal1ty

I used a VISA debit from USA with no issues at all.
