  1. lol, well keeping up with this thread is something you don't need to do... they are just trying to explain the answer giving in the second post. If you cant follow the math, just accept the answer. :joystick:
  2. No, and yes. No show-stoppers though Core i7 920 @ 2.67 6.00GB DDR3 Ram (clocked down because of nvidia white-screen errors) Vista Ultimate X64 Asus P6T Delux Motherboard 500 GB WD HDD 7200 rpm English Download copy Issues: Geforce GTX 260 (i get the weird light band on the ground) Onboard sound --Asus SoundMAX(i get sound bugs--cant hear cannon sometimes.. loud engines) Cougar Sietek rudders TIR4
  3. I always feel quite a bit disappointed when it doesn't work too D=
  4. TIR will give you a new weird habit. Every time i watch a sim video i turn my head to see around the cockpit....
  5. did you power up the rotors (Page Up x2 to Auto)? did you pull up relatively far on the collective? If you pull too hard you risk breaking the blades... if you pull too little you crash to the ground... you should skim the manual if you haven't already also at the very least. also give it a little forward stick so you don't shoot off the ground backwards
  6. or.. more likely.. its so when they get shot they break correctly?
  7. lol this thread is completely derailed. I don't care about the apache in SP.. i cant wait to fly my m8's around while they shoot stuff =D
  8. I suspect that its poor coding in the audio engine. There are various obvious problems like very loud engine sounds inside the cockpit and such (curable by switching to external and back to cockpit). I assume any apps running anything to do with streaming audio/communications COULD trigger long load times. I'd guess it's probably waiting for an audio DLL to load which it can't because something else is using it (driver dependent). I'm willing to bet you have a similar sound device as winney? I've been using skype on x64 vista with 0 loading problems with my onboard sound card (on comms with winney). Are you running any type of communications software (skype/TS/Vent), mp3player(winamp/windows media player), youtube, or basically anything that uses your sound card when loading? Have you tried disabling your sound card and killing all Instant messaging software, or other stuff that starts up when you boot your computer up?
  9. it must pass something to the inu because you can select an enemy on the abris and turn to it.. is that passing it to the targeting computer then the target computer passes it to the inu?
  10. got a quick question.. do you click it or use keyboard shortcut? maybe they dont light when you use the key command?
  11. I've watched them, but the manual has multiple ways to designate targets. The way it is it seems you have to cage the shkval up to send the data.. seems a bit tedious.. anyways i don't mean to hijack the thread. I was just stating the manual is not always clear, and not always the easiest place to look for information
  12. Another point is that the manual provides a lot of answers but also is vague or lost in translation. Having the "English Cockpit" on and having the manual describe everything by its Russian translation has already confused me to the point i get lost for 20 minutes trying to figure out what buttons to press. Sometimes it's just easier to ask.. I still am unsure I'm using the data link correctly heh
  13. probably because Vista (and most likely Windows 7) protects the program file directory. ED should be writing files to User Specific folders (My Documents (XP) and UserName/Something (Vista)) rather than the program directory. I think you can work around this by either A) "Run as Administrator" or B) Adding your specific user to the permissions of this directory?
