  1. I think it's interesting that youtube by themselves lock out people from watching videos.. From what I'v seen in this thread people from these country's are not able to watch it on youtube: Sweden (Strange since Glowing_Amraam is from Norway am I right?) Hungary Romania BTW: How do you create your movies, fraps or the Ingamar video renderer?
  2. Have you updated the the TrackIR Software and also updated the game list in the TrackIR software?
  3. The best thing would be to introduce a separate site for user made mission etc... there are a category under User Files on the DCS homepage for that, but it's not operational... http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=1364&scr=default&lang=en
  4. Same here, but I could watch it yesterday on youtube... How do you even make a video only available in one country?
  5. Could someone explain why only DCS Black Shark would suffer from this problem and requires M$ to solve it, when there are hundreds of other games running fine on Vista? IMO Vista's memory management is superior to XP's in every way. (Running BS in Vista x64 with no problems what so ever, and the memory usage is minimal, max 20% of my RAM is used during gameplay.)
  6. Nice flying there! By the way, how do you land on the trains without them stopping as soon as you touch them?
  7. Thanks that worked, but in TX-Kingsnake mission he didn't have any weapons loaded at all (although i did get the usual message telling me that the loadout didn't match the selected aircraft)...
  8. I looked at your mission but I never got it to work... I replicated all the waypoints and target points as they wore in your mission but no flares... Please take a look at this test mission i made and see what's wrong (only one player and one airplane supposed to drop flares) eV1Te Training Night Flare.miz
  9. Thanks for that info. I hadn't figured that out myself
  10. The batteries should always be turned on, aswell as the generators and the Inverter auto mode! (I guess that they are recharged by the generator when they are turned on as well?)
  11. That could be true, but nothing is visible on the outside for that... (Doesn't the Ka-52 have night capabilities?) By the way, I'm backing up that entire website, with pictures of many other aircrafts and vehicles, just in case :music_whistling:
  12. Keep in mind that the Autopilot stabilisations (Pitch and Bank Hold) will disengage if you Auto Hover below 5-10 Meters! (I almost never use auto hover anymore, a simple trim is sufficient to become more or less stationary) Also the INU must have time to spin up before the auto hover will work correctly, so don't use auto hover directly after engine start.
  13. If you know how to do it, try and overclock your CPU to 2.6 or 2.8 GHz which would be fine with stock cooling (I have my 2.4 GHz intel in 3.1 GHz right now) and se if you get a FPS boost... (Or underclock to see if that worsens the performance) If that does work, then it's the CPU limiting the performance and only a faster CPU or some improvements to games engine would help you... (Have you tried to reduce the graphical settings I mentioned, I think those are heavy on the CPU as well as the GPU) (A friend of mine got a 50% FPS boost by overclocking his CPU, it was almost unplayable before..)
  14. Look at this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=37249 (Which explaines why the CPU is the limiting factor.. in your case only one of the 2.3 GHz cores is used, therefore a faster dual/singel core would be better, try overclocking the CPU) The things I would start with is (also update graphics drivers etc.): Make sure you are running the game in full screen mode (windowed mode eats FPS like hell) Turn water down to Normal Turn shadown down to active planar Use a affinity change script tool (http://code.google.com/p/dcsbsaffinitytool/)
  15. I've had the same problems while trying to learn the Ka-50. One thing that I use all the time is the Ctrl-Enter command that displays where your controls are at, this makes it very simple to trim to a hover from whatever position you had before. (IRL you can sens where the controlls are at since the position of the Cyclic doesn't recenter after a trim which justifies to have a visual indication where the controlls are) Good Luck!
  16. I'm guessing you mean the black box at the right? What does the the light blue box and the black box the the left of that one do then not to mention the big black hole in the picture?
  17. I found this site recently, which have a lot of images of the Ka-50 if someone is interested: http://walkarounds.airforce.ru/avia/rus/kamov/ka-50/  What caught my eye was this image and the new stuff on the overhead panel, also note the black box surrounding the HUD. What is this new stuff that isn't in the game?
  18. I added some new information to the main post... New Stuff 2009-01-29: Reducing Shadows to Active Planar instead of Full gives me a few extra FPS Reducing Water reflection to Normal instead of High gives me a few extra FPS Playing in full screen instead of windowed (which i usually do in games) gives me an 15-20 FPS boost (even though full screen is at a higher resolution than windowed)
  19. New Version compatible with latest Black Shark and also some updated/changed battlefield situations. This post is also updated so you can download the mission directly from this post. This is a mission that plays a little different from the ordinary missions, your main objective changes during the flight and you have to rethink the entire situation (Intended as a 2 player coop MP mission but I included a SP version as well): Your initial main objective is to assist Russian ground units in the vicinity to the large Dam. While they Russian army enters Georgia through a small narrow mountain pass. Spoiler: But after only a short time your objective changes, you receive coordinates during the flight for a top modern American SAM system, which the Georgian military have gotten their hands on! You are the only available option for taking out that SAM System, and without you doing that Russian bombers can’t fly in and take out their targets. Homework to do before flight: Repeat how to enter a target point into the PVI-800 (since you will receive coordinates during the flight) Without saying too much, make sure you know how the American Patriot SAM Search/Targeting Radar looks like and maybe what the capabilities of that system are. eV1Te - Behind Enemy Lines MP.miz eV1Te - Behind Enemy Lines SP.miz
  20. I would think it's a false warning, the anti virus software maybe senses that this exe is made to change the cpu affinity of another program (which could be classed as a security risk depending on what you change the affinity of)
  21. I guess you shouldn't trust Wikipedia for such information then, after looking at other sites the main weapon seems to be the Kh-65 (and the older Kh-55 warhead) :music_whistling: Sorry about that, I expected to se the number [6] in the bottom corner of the Cruise missile in the loadout menu like you do for other weapons... I can understand that this is a good choise of one wants to bomb several locations, which would be difficult with only one group. But if you only want bombers to fly in formation or similar it's difficult and hard work to make it happen with several groups. I did a simple mission with 2 bombers, on with 2 target points and on with only 1 target point, there is no differance in how they deliver the bombs and in what direction they deliver them. Please let me know what the problem is. (Although it's not that big of a deal, one can manually place the waypoints in such way the carpet bombing is in the right direction.) Of course, why didn't I think of that  I'm in no way sure it's wrong in the game, but for other games like IL2 the bombs seem to have larger explosive effect, at least on unarmored targets. In DCS you need to hit the target spot on to kill it... Maybe what I'm looking for is bigger bombs to start with  eV1Te bomber test.miz
  22. I found more bugs covering the bombers in DCS: :music_whistling: Assigning 2 target points (Point and they have a name) to a singel Waypoint should assign the aircraft to do a carpet bombing between the two waypoints. Although this doesn't work! The plane releases all bombs of the same size on the first point in the direction from the previous waypoint only. And if it has several sizes of bombs/other pylons then those is released by a second bombing run on the other targeting point. (The example I tested was FAB-1500 mixed with FAB-500) Anyone else having problems with bombers not working as the manual describes?
  23. According to the Tacview website it is Vyrtuoz who develops the software, but from reading in this thread the ED developers seems involved to..? In what way is this software developed?
  24. The Tu-160 Bomber aircraft can not be assigned an ground attack task, only a pinpoint strike and the only weapons available is 2 cruise missiles. This is strange since this is the largest bomber available with a maximum internal weapon loadout of 40.000 kg of free falling bombs/weapons, so it would be nice if one could assign this aircraft to to some bombing runs. Also covering all bombers in DCS mission editor, one can not have more than one aircraft per group, which is also strange since in real life many of the bombers always fly in groups of at least 2. At last, the bombs in DCS seems to lack explosive power, I have seen 500 kg bombs hit the ground only a few meters from unarmored vehicles that are undamaged.
