When I retrimmed my lotus a few years ago I bought 2 of these seats. One of them had a tiny tear on the underside so they sent me another. I sewed up the tear and fitted it to the base of the chair I had been using. The stick mount is made from a piece of 5mm aluminium plate that I cut and filed into shape. Recoilfx that is amazing! Very ingenius.

So here's the situation. You really want a full size home cockpit but your wife would first laugh at you then divorce you for making 'that thing' in her house. Hmmmm what to do? Ladies and gentlemen i give to you the mk 1 office cockpit/chair. Why that's no good, i hear you cry, she won't let us keep that in 'her house'. TA DA Fold it all away in seconds and it's back to the normal chair again. What do you reckon?:)

You have a black edition cpu so you can overclock it. I did mine the other week from 3.2 to 3.9 ghz, it made quite a good increase and best of all it cost nothing. I have a better heatsink and fan but it didn't make any difference to the temperature at all.

Why don't you want to build one again? You could spec it to exactly what you want, shop around for the best prices for each part and as you know it doesn't take long to put it all together. Can you not get a faster cpu for your motherboard, put in another 4 gb of ram and get a ssd? I've only ever had nvidia cards so i don't know if yours needs upgrading or not.

I've got a 23 inch pc screen going spare if you want to give it a try.

Small world eh. Where abouts? Dcs is brilliant in 32 inch hd, I would post up a photo but I'm in the middle of building a new desk and warthog mount. Santa (the wife) was very kind to me this year!

Yep 10 pounds more. I think it was about £270 in total. I haven't loaded dcs up yet but i've been playing DayZ and it's fantastic.

I gave it a try and out did look pretty good although the text on the a10's hud and mfcd's were blurry. Fortunatly the shop had advertised it as a 1080p tv when it clearly wasn't. I took it back and for £10 more I now have a 1080p led tv which if far far better. The display is crystal clear now and everything can be read very clearly and looks fantastic. I'm so glad I changed it.

My wife got me 32 inch 720p lcd tv to use as a monitor for christmas and i was just wondering if i really need a 1080p? I'm used to a 23 inch pc monitor running at 1080p. Will it be much worse? I don't want to upset her but imo it would be better to get the right one from the start.

What is the ADF for and why would you need a bearing to it?

When landing i call the airbase with an 'inbound' call to which the atc tells me which direction to fly and for how far. I have always understood this to be the ip from where to start my decent. When i then call for navigation assistance i am given a bearing. What is this bearing to? Is it the runway or the ip? It never seems to make any sense to me.

Thanks that fixed it. I had to delete the z axis for trackir ingame aswell.

I've been trying to map my keys so i can zoom in and out while in the cockpit view. Apart from the f15 all the other planes seem to be stuck in one position and can't be changed. If i roll the mouse wheel it tries to zoom back but returns to the same zoomed in view. Is there something i'm doing wrong? I have TIR but the Z axis is disabled.

The Tornado would be amazing (still miss DI's Tornado) but with all the other planes Razbam is doing i fear it will be years before we see anything and things could have moved on by then.

Oh thats a shame. A transport plane would be very welcome in dcs imo.

Are you all managing to input the altitude correctly? Whenever i try putting in 04 for 4000 i either get 03 or cdu error. It seems to only work if i put in numbers with a 0 afterward like 20, 30, 40 etc. 60 comes up as 59 on the page too. Is this tens of thousands of feet and why can't i put in thousands of feet?

When flying the 25T fitted with the elint pod does it detect all radar targets that are transmitting or just those locking onto me?

After a long mission in the a10 i headed out to sea to refuel for the trip home. Everything was going well until i saw 2 f15s close on me and the tanker then one of them decided to refuel at the same time as me! As he approached the tanker with me just about to attach he tried refuel himself as if i wasn't there. He crashed into me causing us to both have to eject and me losing all my score and having to repeat this mission again.:mad:

Do you guys fly weekdays during the day (gmt)? I try to go on MP on my days off and don't get a chance in the evenings. I'm looking for a decent group as MP can get a bit stale if everyone is flying a one man war.
