  1. I had a few flights at night using NVG's. It might be a nice little touch if the co pilot's face had a bit of a green glow from his goggles when they are down.

  3. When is it best to use the leading edge slats manually? Do they help in a dogfight to turn quicker and should you use them for take of and landing?

    I was having a bit of a play on multiplayer today and noticed something I have never seen before in DCS. I was flying low level in a Mirage at high speed and it was bouncing around like crazy. Once at a higher altitude it smoothed out. Is this turbulence and is it new? I know the setting has always been there but I've never experienced it yet.
  6. I've noticed this too. It seems like it's stuck to the runway then it will unstick and pitch up too much.
  7. Maybe a long way down the line but I'd love a UK variant with UK pilot uniforms. Also would it be possible to add animated passengers in the back.
  8. I'm using a warthog with saitek combat rudder pedals. I've put a 15% curvature on the stick and pedals and it's so much easier to fly now. I was having a hard time before but it's relatively easy to fly now.

  10. Is there any way to put the co pilot's visor down? His eyes are a little bit freaky looking.
  11. It is a handful to fly. I haven't managed a safe landing yet. I doesn't help that the FPS in Nevada drop every few seconds.
  12. The current model enlargement at the moment is not great in my opinion. The aircraft should be bigger and the ground units a lot smaller. You can spot a bus from miles and miles away but sometimes it's hard to see a plane you have merged with.
  13. Ok if you want to be boring. When you ask the formation to check in they all reply 'roger' apart from number 4 who roars like a lion! !

  15. Why does it seem that every multiplayer mission has all aircraft on both sides. It doesn't seem right that F15's shoot down A10's and Su's fighting against Su's. I expect it's a balance thing but it just seems so unrealistic to me.
  16. Try binding the keys from in game. It worked for me.
  17. I'm not sure if this is a fault of the AI or not but this AI was flying along quite happily with no wings. Also you can see straight through the aircraft bullet/shrapnel holes.
  18. Will the crew have a voice? eg will the commander be able to call out missile warnings, threats to the pilot etc? Will the Gazelle be flyable as a UK aircraft and will there be a UK skin?
  19. Would it be possible to use 2 position toggle switches much like the 3 position ones that has already been implemented? What I would like to do is map the master arm and fbw g limit switch to 2 position toggle switches on my warthog.
  20. Why when you damage an AI aircraft why does it slow right down and extend its speed bakes? Surely it would be better for it to get to the nearest friendly airfield asap. Hopefully this will be fixed one day.

    What is the idea behind the close combat mode? The magics have their own ir seeker so why do you need radar too?

    Yes, I'm using the Matra missiles. The problem I have is if on a head on fight with the 530's I always lose due to the enemy being able to fire first at a further range. I've taken to dodging the inbound radar guided missiles then getting into a dogfight at close range. Hence my need for 4 Magic's.

  24. I've found the 530 will also track the small square on the hud and not the actual aircraft that is locked. I assumed the small square is the direction the locked aircraft is heading.

    I've always been more of a ground attack type and mainly flew the A10c and the Heli's. Since getting this module I thought I would try my hand at air to air and realise I suck at it! I tried the missile combat instant action mission and once into visual range I can just about shoot one enemy down before I am killed. I tried loading up 4 Magic's for close in fighting but I can only load 2. Is this realistic? It seems a bit limiting having only 2 Magic's as the 530's seem a bit of a waste of a hardpoint.
