  1. Great. I'll check out twitch again after work! I didn't think to check there for some reason
  2. Has the video version gone up yet? I don't see it. Being on the east coast, I had to bail at 1:00am as I had to get up for work at 5:00am, and I missed a bunch of the stream..... I didn't want to stop watching after waiting so long, but had no choice. I fallen asleep at my desk twice already! :) Oh, and thanks for getting us this much anticipated info!!!!!!!!
  3. i think the biggest delay was that it didn't get shipped before the Holiday as planned. Jabbers said it didn't ship until the 9th.
  4. I understand that to turn knobs, a side motion is needed as designed? I've also read that some have found that a twisting motion is sometimes used, but has to be done just so, and was a happy accident? The twist motion would seem MUCH more natural, and immersive when spinning knobs. Is there no easy way to enhance PC's ability to sense this twist motion as a mouse input?
  5. Forgiveness usually comes easier than permission. Live it!
  6. Hoping for a immediate unboxing video!
  7. Looks like review models will ship in a few days, but the rest have been delayed again until after the Chinese National Day holiday. So mid October now? This is becoming much like my Pimax kickstarter experience......
  8. I disagree! This is by no means a through review, But I didn't perceive this as advertising at all. Just a quick comparison by someone excited and happy with a new purchase. And you are tempted to report it? Really?
  9. See if this works. https://discordapp.com/channels/438688364359581707/559336021754642473
  10. No, just quiet here. They seem to be updating much more on the Winwing channel of the Hotas group discord.
  11. Mid month bump!
  12. It' makes you wonder if a real F18 throttle is built as nicely?
  13. Looks like shipping moved from early Sept to mid. :(
  14. What ever happened with this from the 13th? "Z Axis kit and extensions will release next week and begin for pre-order next week."
  15. Huh? You are familiar with the non responsive / crickets Analogy, right? :music_whistling:
  16. I'm not going by resolution numbers but by what I see, as I do own a reverb as well as a 1440 Vert, pixel HMD. The Reverb looks better. Simple as that. Is it a breath taking difference? Well no, these are still early days and you just have take what you can get. I've decided to keep both, one for superior view, and one for excellent FOV until I can get a headset that does both. Each are TOTL and the best money can buy, in at least one metric. The most important metrics IMHO
  17. Yeah, The resolution will never 100% good enough until we finally arrive at 16K! That said, As lacking as the Reverb still is in resolution, everything else including Rift S is even worse. I choose not to go worse!
  18. Great subject matter. Lets keep this going! I'm somewhat new to modern flight sims, but decided to go all out on a TOTL flight setup for VR. ( Big VR enthusiast since the early 90's) I'm just finishing assembly, and recovering from a huge cash outlay, so I still have little experience, but I have given this entire matter a great deal of thought. My interests vary from various military jets to helis, and even general aviation. To enjoy a wider range of flight experiences, I feel it is necessary to keep the real cockpit somewhat generic, and rely on software generation for the various simulated cockpits / controls. Therefore, Ive gone with a race sim style 8020 cockpit structure with added motion actuators. I felt what was important was to have an actual physical high end HOTAS and rudder pedals. A simulated HOTAS is a no go! The center mounted stick, and side mounted throttle will be on movable mounts to better match in sim positioning for various simulated aircraft. Everything else will be simulated and operated virtually. This is the best combination of real / virtual for aircraft control. But how? Like most, I feel the ultimate answer is quality hand tracking preferably with some kinda of tactile fingertip feedback. I'm not big on the glove idea, but rather envision a small Bluetooth cap that slips onto your index finger tip, containing a mini tactile device? I think we are just not there just yet. I'm going to try out Miles IR pointer as a temporary stand in while we wait for developments. I liked the idea of the built in headset cursor guidance as a stop gap, but have read it's a no go? That's my solution for now. I just felt that a detailed pit setup for a particular aircraft was too restrictive, and too difficult to integrate 1:1 into the VR world.
  19. Hmm, mine also says L56549-001 and mine came from HP just days ago? It's also 931 so it has to be new
  20. My first Reverb had a fancy printed "outer" box. On the second one, the outer box is plain brown, with just the inner box printed.
  21. So does everyone have a lot of Mura . I tried my replacement last night and the mura seems almost worse than the first one, but I could be wrong as it was really bad on that one too. I see it big time in the sky at WMR home, but on the solid color walls in the "Lab" game too. I guess it's Mura I'm seeing? It's not really patches of cloudiness or smudges that I see. It's the non uniformity of the pixels that appear to follow my movement across a solid area. Like a random unorganized pixel pattern that stays in front of my eyes as a move my head.
  22. Mura is like this ( and I do see this when looking at the sky in WMR home) When rotating your head across the FOV, the view you see changes, but the pixels in front of your eyes appear to follow you.
  23. So could someone check the flap on their 931 Reverb?
