  1. Thanks for the hard work. Looking forward to exciting 2020
  2. Been meaning to ask, what's with the ponies?
  3. The client is at least working for me, but not the server. The Black Shark cockpit looks awesome and I notice there is some nice new rotor chop sounds. When I land, along with the usual XX landed here message I get "main:" over on the top left and "Ststic1" over on the top right.
  4. Now I can't even fire up the dedicated server ???? Sent the crash report. Lets see what happens with the Gaming Rig when the client has finished updating... I know you guys are working hard, not having a whinge, just letting you know.
  5. Either paste the bort number dds into the skin folder or change the lua boolean relating to that decal from false to true to allow it to look outside that skin folder for the bort number dds. Its not camo, its a place holder texture for whe the lua can't find the texture it needs.
  6. Some fictionals I have done for Aussie and Kiwi virtual squadrons: "Drops Bears" Low Vis and CAG Bird The Flying Kiwis skin and CAG Bird. Low Vis for the 62nd Fighting Falcons, Brisbane Autralia.
  7. We have two of our own liveries that we use currently, with another low vis under development. The CAG bird is worn by Woody01 and the rest of use the other when flying the Hornet. After consultation, it was decided that the liveries would represent a Kiwi detachment of airmen operating US navy aircraft, much like the Czech, Polish, Canadian and other units have done throughout history. Skins for other aircraft will be developed when the templates become available. We also use the 3 sqn RNZAF Huey skin. If you enjoy flying with us, fit in and stick around, we will provide links for the skins!
  8. 101% would buy an F-111 module.
  9. 98abaile, It's well documented that Vulkan allows far better distribution of workloads across mutliple CPU cores and offers parralel tasking features. Vulkan is an interface, not a graphics engine.
  10. Imagine being able to offload AI to one complete core, dynamic weather to another, comms to another etc, and a much more efficient rendering engine. How could it not be much better? I basically chose the 2700X in anticipation of this for DCS.
  11. Any update on when I get to unleash all the cores?
  12. Anyone else believe that a night time SAM launch would be a lot more visible reality, especially through NVGs?
  13. That minty green, murky wake seems to trail more than a mile behind the carrier. Im sure that is useful for a visual reference when lining up on final. Can it be implimented?
  14. 100% would buy in a heart beat. In the surf, as a kid, these things would fly over us, barely above the waves on their way south to the Evans Head air weapons range. What a beast.
  15. Developer update? We are approaching mid-year now, any comment from the devs on the progress of the Vulkan implementation and what we can expect to see? Really appreciate all the hard work that is being done in DCS and understand why things move slowly, only looking for an update and a comment on performance/improvements with Vulkan more than a time frame. Well, maybe a rough time frame :smilewink:
  16. Oh yeah baby. Any pics of her loaded up with RP-3s? Can't wait to see how this one pans out.
  17. I too find this very disappointing in an otherwise pretty awesome title. I have just flown my first truly successful Hornet CAP mission only to find in the replay i get blown to bits instead of blowing two MiG-29s to bits. Kinda expect a bit more. Hope this gets resolved with a rewindable replay feature.
  18. This^^^ I remember spending HOURS on Jane's Longbow 2. A lot of that time in the Blackhawk too...
  19. Anyone else pick up that Wags said the Warthog throttle is a stand in for the Hornet throttle "for now". My ears pricked up.
  20. I'm very happy with my Vega 56 @1440P on my AOC 32. It's undervolted and overclocked. Can't wait for the switch to Vulkan.
