Thanks for your input. You are right, stick is short and feels unnatural. FFB I have found out IS actually already preset, no fine tuning necessary. Everything seems fine now, trim included. Autopilot works as advertised. Thanks again, sorry for the late reply.

As is, with FFB enabled and swap axis in the controls, do I need to set up some kind of curvature for pitch axis. Without curvature, my stick is almost all the way forward. Will it be possible to trim the aircraft reasonably. I am trying to refuel air/air right now and the trim is literally making me stall. Also find I cannot engage autopilot. Help!?? Hammer_251

I can't believe my EYES!!!!! You have made 2022 shine brighter than ever! I dreamed endlessly of seeing the F-4 Phantom II and other Vietnam-era jets in my sleep. Frankly, with Covid and all, it's been work, work, work and somehow things just seemed a little dull in my life, the humdrum of each passing day, framing homes for the wealthy ( I'm a carpenter/ Framer) with no end i sight! That is why when I come home, my little escape is DCS World, MSFS 2020 and IL2. ( I used to fly as a private pilot when I was young, no longer but I sure miss those blue skies up there!) DCS gives me a chance to live out my dreams and chill out, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday, I suppose many feel that way too. So THANK - YOU HEATBLUR AND DCS WORLD for the PHANTOM!!! A Vietnam map surely will come...!!!

What about serious crosswinds on take-off or landings??? Hope ED addresses our trim problems for our very much loved MSFFB II!!! Warthog stick is a thousand bucks and comes with tensioners????? No comparison to FFB. I've often wondered HOW it is that you can fly a sim WITHOUT FFB. I am trying non linear adjustment but I may have to forego T.O. trim. Cheers

Thanks for this, I just started flying the Tiger now and aborted my take-off when I saw the position of the stick! I checked the settings, set FFB to off center but unfortunately this centers my stick for take-off but then what do I do once I'm airborne and want to neutralize T.O. trim? From what I gather there is no solution... Funny enough, the F-86 Sabre seems to have a trim issue with MS FFB too, it simply never felt right

I can't seem to find the countries.lua file in Scripts - Database? anyone know where it went? I don't want my pilot promoted to a salty colonel and relegated to a desk job because he's an old fart! No reason why we shouldn't model China Lake and Fallon, Bicycle Lake (for A-10's) and Kingman in Arizona for casual flying. I love this map. Edwards Air Force Base is also there and waiting to be created! What a map it would be! Never knew what a Joshua tree was till I flew this map, go figure!!!

Well I downloaded a fresh install, everything seems fine however sometimes when I want to PREPARE a flight via the Mission Editor, instead of landing in my Spitfire, I get the f10 screen? Is this a recent development? Or did I goof?

:thumbup: Ever since 2.56, I sometimes have to restart the application several times before I can even see the Main Screen. Lately I have been playing mostly WWII Spitfire stuff and I must say apart from the comms not working (never have), I can't choose some parking spots at all via the ME menu and planes that are parked in designated spots end up entirely somewhere else on the airfield. The game will even change the paintscheme on you! Yes this is the OPEN BETA version, YES I am fully aware of what that means... nevertheless at the very least we should be able to run the application once not 10 times even on Open Beta. It's never been this bad on Open Beta, never. That is why I have decided to say something. I know the modern jets get the limelight and all but I really think small fixes could be made. Just sayin"... Love the sim, Hammer
