  1. awesome, thanks. that should be what i need to know. now i just gotta get in and do some editing and get it up in running.
  2. Can anyone tell me how to add controls to the .LAU file that are not currently in it for the hornet. Specificly i'm trying to program my video recorder switches on the IFEI. I know they can be assigned via the DCSFlightpanels software bit i need to be able to give the DX button assignments in the controls set up since these particular toggles are attactched to a LEO Bodnar board. any help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Edit your CMDS_ALE47.lau file located in DCS/Mods/aircraft/FA-18C/Cockpit/Scripts/TEWS/device folder. i beleive it will default to the original file with everyupdate so keep a copy in a safe folder elswhere so all you have to do is drag and drop after the update.
  4. not until i post this, the mens department. lol
  5. FYI overview of Hornet systems. link to ground power topic
  6. Except 251, 312, 115, 232, 323, all routinely did CVW deployments in the past 2 decades.
  7. Simple UFC design that i 3d printed at school. may redesign this down the road.
  8. left vertical panel almost complete. all i need to do is design and fabricate the P-brake lever.
  9. maybe someday, once i have the time to learn the programming. right now i will be using leo bodnar controllers.
  10. i would love that as well
  11. did a little design work for school. This will be a combo of the IFEI control, HUD control, Master Arm panel and Fire panels.
  12. MK.83, GBU-16, GBU-32? don't think USAF uses 1000 pounders. no idea about overseas opperators.
  13. sort by UFC in the controls settings or look in the cockpit and hover your mouse cursor over the button and you will get a pop up with the name on it.
  14. anyone have a high res capture of the battery gage. preferably from a direct view and not from an angle. need it for a print out for my desk cockpit. TIA
  15. yes we would, if for no other reason than a stop gap. Marines overcome and adapt. we wanted a pod that had better capabilities than the nitehawk, we went with the litening. what was the quickest way to get it into opperational service. sling it to a pylon since a dedicated adpter would have to be devoloped and evaluated. much quicker to rewire an exsisting pylon than to develope an adapter. Now do i know the actual proccess we took to get litenings on hornets, no. but i do have a little insight into how we do business in the Marine Corps. Semper Gumbi.
  16. i won't say it was ever used on 4 opperationally either. i've seen on more that one occasion on 4 but it has all been states side. you are right though it's hard to find anything on the internet of it. i looked there 1st but alas i had to just upload photos from my PC. incidently the 115 pics were downloaded from the net years ago but i couldn't even find those.
  17. i see where you a going but i would have to say that probably not on 6. i don't know of there being an adapter for that side.
  18. nothing to see here these are USMC Hornets and that is not a litening pod on station 4.
  19. false, litening can be mounted on the left cheek station.
  20. lxsapper that was it. don't remember modding the IFEI_init.lua file. that fixed it and is now saved in saved games folder. thanks.
  21. since the last update my IFEI no longer shows up on my export monitor any ideas on what i need to change. here is my iua set up _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('My Practice'); Description = 'practice file' Viewports = { Center = { x = 1920; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1080; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1920 / 1080; } } LEFT_MFCD = { x = 4608-715; y = 0; width = 730; height = 730; } RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 6528-825; y = 0; width = 825; height = 825; } CENTER_MFCD = { x = 4608; y = 0; width = 830; height = 830; } --IFEI F18_IFEI = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 600; height = 233; } UIMainView = Viewports.Center
  22. the are but it is not uncommon for the delta squadrons to get C models from time to time when there is a shortage of D's. also i remember once that VMFA(AW)-332 and VMFA-212 formed a composit squandron for a WestPac and were unofficially call the MoonLancers. I've got a picture of there patch somewhere on my PC.
