  2. Thanks :) but still I am looking more for software solution. I will lift cover physically in my cockpit and will fly without seeing virtual cockpit. So guys, any idea how to tell DCS bios to both lift cover and flip switch based on single pin?
  3. Hello guys, i am starting to play with arduino, homebuilding my F-18 cockpit. I come to an issue with switches with cover like GEN TIE RESET or GAIN on FCS panel. I have the cover but the cover does not send any signal. And you cannoy use switch if the cover in DCS is closed. So is there a way to make one button click ON-OFF switch to ON to both open cover and the press switch and back moving switch to OFF close cover (this would off the switch). Can i do it on arduino without going to LUA? Thank you
  4. Will the ground also support after recoveries and parking? Will they decide where to park the aircrafts after landing? Are they going to use any tugs?
  5. Hi Guys, I trying to find best solution for my project. I have bought the panels from pcflights.com and they offer SISMO boards. They look nice but I have not found anyway how to connect these boards to DCS. http://pcflights.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=67 Do you have any experience how to connect SISMO boards to DCS? Or do you prefer other solution like Arduino? Which one is the best to handle switches, LED, gauges with servo motors especially for me If I have not got a lot of experience? Thanks Marek Babic

  7. Why would ED develop new stuff if you dont intend to pay for it? on the contrary I think we should all pay more to make sure we get more good stuff
  8. Hey ED, have you considered kickstarter or crowd funding? I mean DCS is so good and I am sure a lot of us would contribute and donate for such a good sim. I have already bought a modules I dont have any intention to fly now :) Logic is simple if you have more money than you can develop the game faster and bring new features.

  11. Okaaay, and does the heavy mission affects performance of both server and the clients the same? My question is if the server part is more demanding than client? Or both server / client will be affected the same?

I obviously wanted to do it realisticall way, means the unit would traver to AO, so you can kill them on the way etc. Another question: Is it possible to rent virtual dedicated server with enough power? What affect the performance most on heavy missions? CPU / RAM or GPU? What I do not understand that CPU/GPU/RAM are bellow 50% but still the FPS drops? How is that happening?
  13. Dear Virtual Pilots, I have a question what performance can be expected on heavy mission during multiplayer? I started to do nice Multiplayer mission, to get dedicated server, etc. Maybe you will play it one day. However as I was adding units, tanks, realistically, each side cca 400 ground units, static planes on airports/carrier to make it feel alive I have noticed a drop in FPS from 100 to around 20-40, , which is not that great, sometimes 15FPS which is bad. I know I run pretty high settings, but when I check windows task manager it shows CPU usage 25%, RAM usage 40% (10 GB), Graphics GPU 30%? So why is FPS dropping (reducing graphic setting helped a bit, but the graphics GPU usage was never above 40%)? So couple of questions: -Would it run better on dedicated server? -What is reasonable limit for units quantity? -What could improve my PC performance? New CPU/Graphics? -Would it help to change some settings? - Any other ideas? I thought that heavy multiplayer missions have also many units and they run very smooth for me. My PC: Intel i7-7700@3.6GHz / 32 GB RAM / GeForce GTX 1080 / SSD Disk.
  14. I understand that ED focus on Viper since its possible income of money. It would be better to pay some annual fee to play in DCS like 30-50 USD per year or 5-10 USD per module annually. This would give developers some money so they can develope stuff faster and we would have much better game. Everybody should understand that ED will develope Hornet for couple of years since we bought it but ED will no recieve money for the work from players that already bought the product. And i dont like guys saying that carrier module should be free for hornet module owners. Why would they do it then? They need to make money. It should be very reasonably priced like 50-100 usd so its worthwhile. I dont mind paying for good stuff ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Not true I COMPLETELY ran out of fuel couple times during multiplayer and was always refuelled at friendly airport

    Hi, just approach at low level to be within 4-5 NM, pop-up and shot your HARMs. Then hide and run. If terrain is not super flat, it works. However if there are low level SAMs protecting SA-10 you are gonna die :D
  17. Do you think that IADS script can work correctly when hosting MP server?
  18. I found quite easy to kill unprotected S-300 with F/A-18 with HARMS.... I approach at low level, using terrain masking to be within 10 NM then shoot two HARMS at each radar and S-300 will not react in time to defend itself... repeated couple of times at quite open terrain. I will try to place 3-4 Tor systems to se if they can protect S-300... but S-300 alone is not difficult to kill.
