  1. Small bump ;) Please forgive me!
  2. Thank you very much! I will eagerly await this list =P
  3. Gotcha. Any chance we can get a list of lua callouts? there used to be a tool we could use to extract the .EDM file and get a list of every single Lua callout that the EDM referenced for textures. but it has since been broken by the update to the latest EDM file format. This makes doing off the wall things like changing the color of glass, lights, and weapons possible.
  4. Quick question. Has anyone figured out the .lua callouts for the: TCS Drop Tanks Pylons Phoenix Plylons? Bonus points for a callout for the aim-54c.
  5. Is there benefit for applying the shadow layers to the roughmet? My understanding is that baked on shadows and AO were a "bad" thing for roughmet layers. If so we will need to go back through our templates and make some changes :)
  6. Not needless, PBR is a far superior method of enacting material changes compared to spec mapping.
  7. I'm glad your enjoying the patch! let us know if we can be of any help!
  8. We believe thats ED's plan. The Mig-29 recieved PBR/RoughMet textures as part of its midlife upgrade. We are hopeful that eventually our little patch will not be needed. We will see and know more after the release of the updated Ka50 and A10C models/cockpits/textures.
  9. Oh. My. Gawd. BEST LAUNCH TRAILER IN THE HISTORY OF LAUNCH TRAILERS! you had exactly ONE opportunity to use dangerzone/mightwings in a meaningful way, and you NAILED it!. I expect we will see nothing less with the F14! Congrats on a job well done!
  10. The viggen only received PBR textures for its engine components, the rest of the aircraft is still relying on specmat, and JSON. We are aware of the F15 overshiny, and improvements to the patch are in our plans :)
  11. Welcome aboard guys, glad to have you!
  12. Nice screenshots Tomcatter, looking good for sure! I'm glad your enjoying the patch!
  13. Hello pilots one, and all. A few of us avid livery creators have started a discord group, dedicated to the creation of DCS textures and aircraft liveries. Its a small but steadily growing group, but there is already a wealth of knowledge. Members of the group range from highly seasoned creators, to people just trying to figure out how to make their first personalized livery. There are members in the group who will accept requests, but by and large its a group for pooling knowledge and teaching each other. Weather you need help getting started, have knowledge to share, or just want to show off your work. We have a place for you. Invite below. https://discord.gg/bqAq2zx Check six, Don't run with scissors, and play nice with others ;) P.s. If this in some way violates the forum rules please feel free to remove, and accept my apologies. I did a little digging but was unable to find rules forbidding this.
  14. any plans to update the tool to work with the new EDM? I would offer my services, but i am borderline useless with coding.
  15. Unfortunately not, the patch works by taking advantage of the way DCS does callouts for loading either specmaps, or in this case Roughmets. If the game finds RoughMets inside of default locations, it loads them instead of the Specmaps that have been modified by JSON files. Its well worth taking a few moments to set up OVGME to manage the mod. :)
  16. This is An unofficial patch to bring most of DCS's older modules to life, and allow custom roughmet creation for skinners, by taking advantage of PBR(Physics Based Rendering) introduced in the release of 2.0 and 2.5. This patch is MP safe, and Mod manager friendly. These are as set of Stock-a-like/Realistic-ish RoughMet textures designed to bring some of DCS's older modules to life by taking advantage of PBR (Physics Based Rendering). And To enable skin creators to make their own custom RoughMet textures for their liveries. Something that was previously Impossible due to game limitations. The Patch is OVGME/JGSME friendly, and is also an easy manual install if thats more your style. We highly suggest the use of a mod manager, as a manual UN-Installation is going to be tedious. These are all DCS Multiplayer safe, and have been tested and confirmed to not fail the IC. A small disclaimer, while care was taken to maintain the stock-like / realistic appearance of the jet, we are NOT professional graphics artists, and as such these skins, while good looking, are not perfect in every way. Skins created by: T. Nark 104th_Fallen Included are the following aircraft; - F-15C - Su27 - Su33 - J-11A - AJS-37 - F-86 - L-39 - Mig-15 - F-5E - Uh-1 - Mi-8 The pack may be found here on the DCS user files section. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3303667/
  17. Thank you sir! A lot of time was spent on this project, hopefully some people get some use out of it!
  18. I'm getting several sound issues in The F15 after latest update. Anyone else?

  20. Excellent Mod, Highly recommend! When can we expect these 8K Maps musters?
  21. Hello Dev's! I have been working on a custom skin for the F-15C. Included are Custom spec map textures. As the title states these spec maps work great in ModelViewer2, but do not appear to work in game. Pictures attached, its pretty easy to tell. Any chance of a fix? *UPDATE* When I apply F15 textures in ModelViewer2, I use the "F-15.EDM" model. Apparently the game uses "F-15.lods". The maps also work on "F-15_Lod01" and "F-15_Lod02" Please reference my linked post to the skinning forum below for pictures. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=232773
  22. Here she is in the model viewer 2.
  23. Has anyone had this issue? I've done a few google and forum searches and found nothing. As the title say my custom spec layers for an F15 I'm working on look fine in the model viewer, but are not applied as far as I can tell in the game. It would be very noticeable. There is Yellow in the game where there is polished gold in the model viewer.
  24. this thread is TLDR, but I wanted to throw out that if you find yourself adding more ground forces or AA Crates to make sure you assign unique weights to each crate. I added the Vulcan, Shilka, and a roland system, but the script was getting them confused with crates that shared the same weights. changing the crate weights to unique values solved the issue.
