  1. It also provides AC elect power and possibly hyd power if the Engine generators and pumps are not online... so not a good idea to turn off the APU until you have at least 1 engine and 1 Engine generator switched on.
  2. Name: Virtual 66th Fighter Wing Tag: V66th Origin-Country: USA Flight Times: Variable Game-Version: BS 1.0.2 FC2 1.2.1 Active Members: 19 Offer Train in Rookies: Yes Website: http://virtual66th.com/
  3. I'm sure this has been discussed before....so I apologies for the repatition.... and the simulation is the best I've ever played, so please take this in context, (there there developers, have some more peanuts) Wingman RTB: Your wingman appears to plot the shortest course home when told to RTB. This would not appear unreasonable until he tries to fly over a mountain 500 meters above the max hight his aircraft can achieve. He then hovers or loops around like a confused fly until he runs out of fuel and crashes. Wingman "Unable" It appears if the AI is set to good or below, he can't actually do much (as much use as a chocolate fireguard) Attempting to order him to engage anything at all results in an "unable" Wingman Fuel Low: If the wingman is low on fuel, he does nothing about it, no Bingo call, no request to RTB, he just crashes. This happens even if he's above a friendly airfield.
  4. You could always map the buttons directly in Game. Thats how I have my X-52 setup. Simply go to options/commands, select the A10 select the fire command you want, double click it and then press the X-52 button. The game should then recognize the button and assign it to the command
  5. Oh contrare, I was on Jags in the mid 80's and they were still underpowered and had problems taking of in hot weather with a full load. The micro turbo did explode every now and again, and the wet starts were spectacular if the seat stick interface got the fuel switches wrong. But hey, it WAS the best AC I ever worked on, and the best sqn too....:pilotfly:
  6. No fiirewall, no anti virus, its a clean system....and my IP address is............
  7. They catch fire, they can't take off when it's hot, they have no radar, the NAVWAS sucks...on the plus side, the RR Adour engines are good at drying your hair...;)
  8. This is a bit of a Holy Grale.... No its not currently possible to do this as the engine in the editor does not support it (I'm told)
  9. Military jets use the same procedure. Engines spool up to around 15 or 20% before fuel is applied otherwise you get a "wet" start (which results in a spectacular flame out the back) Most modern jets have an autostart procedure which does this automatically, but older types such as Tornado Gr1, Jaguar, Phantom you have to open fuel at the right time, otherwise (as I said previously) you get a wet start.
  10. Win 7 64 bit I haven't had a CTD since I installed this patch. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/979223 ) I suspect as was previously noted that some other app was using the memory up and the patch has cured the problem. I also observed gradual memory loss over a 3 hour period using perfmon before the patch and no memory loss after it.
  11. I belive this hotfix from the vole fixes the problem: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/979223
  12. Thanks, but decided to use lottu instead http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=53348
  13. Is there any way to have all view options (external etc) on a track file created during online play? Mast last multiplayer game had external views disabled, but I want to play the track file locally (the one stored in the temp folder) with all views available.
  14. I had the same problem after a FC2 patch. I think you'll find you had a mod skin and now it isn't there anymore because of the patch. Reselecting a default skin for the mission will probably solve the problem.
  15. This isn,t really a bug, more of an oversight. I noticed that the default load outs for AI Tornado's have 2 BOZ pods (Chaff flare dispensers) 1 on each outer wing pylon. This is incorrect as all aircraft flew in combat operations with 1 BOZ pod and 1 Skyshadow (ECM). Its easy enough to change but most users will not be aware that without skyshadow, theres no ECM.
  16. Flaming cliffs 2: Is there any way to get the AI aircraft to do circuits at airports? i.e approach - land but keep rolling, take off, approach, land etc:pilotfly:
  17. I've downloaded FRAPS, not an ideal solution as I paid for it. The issue or "feature" still remains though. Some clarity in the documentation would have been helpful.
  18. I noticed someone else is having this problem. Any news on a fix.... Basically the track saves in ether png frames or ovg format. Not much use to man nor dog.....
  19. I have the same problem...you can't even cycle through them again.:(
  20. Same problem, same resolution .... set axis for all aircraft individually
  21. The cooler was an Arctic Freezer 7 pro rev 2. (Only 24 Euros!) If you went for a Freezer EXTREME or similar, I'm sure you could get stable at 4.2 Ghz
  22. Hi, I purchased Lockon boxed version on the 29th March, but still have not received it. Could you tell me how long shipping to Germany normally takes? Order number:TXNYUBODF1B7X8EXE9 Login: pyates2104
  23. No need to break the bank I've just built a new rig for under 1000 Euros. Frame rates are up in the 40's: I have over clocked the i5-750 to 3.8 Ghz and its holding steady at 50C with full load on all 4 cores. (with a good cooler.) I did clock at 4.2 Ghz but this was getting too hot at full load. Old GPU Nvidia 8800 GTX is being used in the new system. Flight sims are CPU intensive and this is usually the bottleneck if you have a reasonable GPU, so a clocked i5 750 is the way to go. MSI CD-53 mobo - 150 Euros (OK if your not planning SLI as its only got one slot) Produkt: Core™ i5-750 Prozessor (4x 2666 MHz, 4x 256 kByte) HU1I21 Anzahl: 1 Einzelpreis: € 171,65* Gesamtpreis: € 171,65* --------------------------------- Produkt: DIMM 4 GB DDR3-1600 Kit (4096 MB, CL9 9-9-24) ICIFGA Anzahl: 1 Einzelpreis: € 88,90* Gesamtpreis: € 88,90* --------------------------------- Produkt: Three Hundred - R (3 x 5,25" extern, 6 x 3,5" intern) TQXA67 Anzahl: 1 Einzelpreis: € 59,90* Gesamtpreis: € 59,90* --------------------------------- Produkt: E85-550 (550 Watt, ATX12V 2.2, ATX 2.03, EPS) TN5R55 Anzahl: 1 Einzelpreis: € 69,90* Gesamtpreis: € 69,90* --------------------------------- Produkt: WD6400AAKS 640 GB (640 GB, 8,9/16/7200) AEBW04 Anzahl: 1 Einzelpreis: € 49,99* Gesamtpreis: € 49,99*
