Ok this is super bad , regarding the scale change in the radar with a target bugged. The bugged target indeed disappears when the radar scale changes ! - 1) I hate that the scale changes automatically to begin with, is there for it to NOT do that ? - 2) The radar elevation does not move with the target at all when a target is bugged. So, as long as the scale does not change, you'll have the target bugged even though your radar is looking way over or under the target. ! edit* Ok, it DOES keep the bug in TWS mode , so it might just be how it's supposed to be I really wish i could disable the automatic scale change though !!! Its super annoying when fighting more than 1 enemy

Ok that's helpful. I can now switch between ' dogfight center' and ' missile override center' while keeping my right MFD settings. I just have to set them on the runway once ,and as long as i only cycle between those two it keeps the settings. I noticed something else and have 2 questions : Is the RWR bug (SA mode) less 'powerful' than a bug in TWS mode ? I just feel contacts drop as soon as the enemy so much as changes altitude or direction slightly, even with reduced azimuth. And, when i have a target bugged, it also seems to lose the bug when the enemy crosses the 20 mile mark and the scale on the MFD changes. That is REALLY bad if that's true, noticed it almost everytime today (online)
-
Yeah i've been trying to use it all day today online but it's hopeless, it just gets you killed.
-
Well but that is completely useless when engaging more than 1 enemy ? You'd have to wait for the first missile to go active before you can fire a second missile @ the other enemy. Here's another weird thing with TWS ... In this case, i first have to manually bug the targets, before i can use the normal TWS function (cycling with TMS-right) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSr4Fr7MEF8 And, shouldn't i be able to slew my azimuth somewhat when i have 1 target bugged ? Like in the F15 ?

Same, radar is BAD and TMS is even worse :(

Ok i'm lost. I do not know how to effectively use TWS in this plane. - Radar will not see targets it should see many times - at 8:19 it bugs the middle guy for some reason, even though the front guy is clearly on radar. Then i unbug middle guy and try to bug front guy, which doesn't work for a while, untill it suddenly does ?! - The TDC needs some time to accelerate it seems. And even at full speed it moves so slowly meaning certain death in many scenarios. - Why is my TWS bugging a friendly awacs 160 miles away ? - Why do i lose lock when i have an STT target, and switch to 'dogfight' mode ? - Why does the right MFD goes to 'weapons' instead of the HSD everytime i switch modes ? Look at me fumbling around, this is OFFline, just 3 non manouvring SU27's, and a friendly awacs and i can't make heads or tales of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXUGo8NTOts How do you guys use the F16 in multiplayer ? Do you even bother with TWS at all when more than 1 track is present ?
-
Well TWS seems to not work very well at all in multiplayer . It works in a sterile environment where nothing changes, but as soon as one of the contacts disappear for a second it becomes a hot mess. The only way for it not to go off the rails crazy is to set the azimuth to 10 degrees The fact that the MFD's are tiny as hell doesn't help either Useless

Yes i said that wrong, it won't make the closest one a system target. And you can't cycle through them. I was playing online, and i had a situation just like in the picture. I could press TMS right all day but nothing would happen. I could also not bug anything by slewing and hitting TMS up. To me it seems, that as long as there is one small square in the mix, basically the whole TWS-bugging doesn't work. It will be difficult to reproduce in a mission as i'm not sure how to keep a small square, a small square while the other tracks are big squares, but i'll try and then post the track
-
Well, basically you can not bug anything as long there is even ONE non-full track on your radar screen. So say i have 2 full tracks, and one 'contact' that hasn't fully shown up yet. I can't do anything ! I can't engage the 2 full tracks at all in tws What i mean is, in this situation, you can't do anything at all : https://imgur.com/JVkNUlv

EDIT : MUST HAVE BEEN USER ERROR, OR ONLINE ENVIRONMENT , IT"S WORKING NOW , I CAN BUG TARGETS EVEN WHEN NOT ALL TRACKS ARE SYSTEM TRACKS YET Ok this : Is not working. You can't bug multiple targets ? edit* , ok, it kind of works but is really buggy. This only works if all your radar tracks are system tracks at the same time. If one radar contact is not a system track yet, the whole thing doesn't work for the other system tracks.

Yes you have to keep holding it, it doesn't toggle. Probably a bug

BUMP , very needed

Never mind, ACM modes are still completely borked When you use the MFD to get in "dogfight" mode, you will start @ "no rad" , the way it's supposed to be. However, when you use one of the shortcut keys to enter "dogfight" , you can't start out in the starting position no matter what. You will never get "no rad" . Also the bore/slave shortcut doesn't work. It only works with MFD .

Can someone shed some light on the controls ? https://imgur.com/qv12lVv Also this : https://imgur.com/r8U08Pj Everytime i switch something, the right panel switches to 'slave' again. Do i need to put it to 'bore' again everytime i press something ? And how can i have "bore" mode and "slave" at the same time ? I know "bore" means it's using the radar/IR of the missile, and "slave" means it's using the plane radar ?

Dick move At least it's normal priced now , for a while. Never buying anything else from them unless it's on fire sale >_< -
Question, there's no way for the helmet to auto-lock, right ?
-
Holy **** , that's the least intuitive crap i've ever encountered. The ways to get to the different modes is  At least to me, really really counter intuitive, however i have a question : Does it not remember the last mode i was in ? Say i go in 'dogfight' mode, and set my amraam to helmet-boresight. Then i go back to BVR . I would think that when you go back into 'dogfight mode' after that, it would get you back to the last mode you were in, but it resets ? I have to select missile again, i have to select 'boresight' again, and i have to change the mode again. This is very annoying, is it supposed to be like that in real life ?

Radar elevation way too sensitive on button
Csgo GE oh yeah replied to raelias's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Bump cause this is really annoying. I'm already sturggling so much with binding the inputs on my crappy X52 , and the naming scheme in the 'adjust controls' section. The slightest tap will send the elevation to the moon instantly , the sensitivity is just WAY too high. I'm no expert but this should not be hard to fix , but it's very vital -

Yeah free trials would maybe get a lot of people who would never even think about a certain module try it, liking it, and buying it, expending their horizon. For instance, the WWII planes seem uninteresting to me, however i've never tried a single one. Because i think i won't like it, i'm not going to buy a module. But if you can try for free, maybe even for just a day might change that. Played Quake for the first time a long time ago because of one of those "Demo CD's" with only a few levels on it that came in a magazine :d Still playing quake to this day, 24 years later. -
