  1. And it locks you out completely being unable to scale back up again manually ? Bugging targets 160 nm away ? Whatever i don't even care anymore at this point.
  2. They do seem to respond to threads on reddit I also pre ordered from them , these posts make me depressed :d
  3. dundun92 , you don't want it to autoscale. If you lose the bug in the 20nm scale, you can't slew fast enough to bug it again. You may get your cursor on it, but by the time you press "up" it already moved, let alone press twice. In the 10 nm scale tracks are just flying over your MFD, you can't even reach them because the TDC slew needs to accelerate first or something. I mean, problems may be less obvious you're flying 15 vs 5 and you engage 1 target at a time, but when there's multiple tracks on the MFD it becomes a complete and utter mess. It will literally bug targets 160 nm away . I also have to seem to bug every track seperately before i can TDS (right) to work on the tracks. It's all just so disappointing. At this time the F16 is basically just a skin. And they're going to work on the harm/agm first now ? oh god please concentrate on air to air first
  4. It will rather bug targets more than 160 nm away (I'm NOT KIDDING), then the two guys right in front of me It is SO broken And PLEASE make it not auto-scale the MFD !!! If lose lock within 20 miles you can't slew TDC fast enough to even bug the enemy!~!@!@# And i can't even up the scale myself manually when a target is bugged !! PLEASE disable the auto-scale right now , and for god's sake make TWS only bug the targets CURRENTLY IN YOUR MFD, and not 160 NAUTICAL MILES AWAY ! god i'm so frustrated
  5. yeah ok that smells a bit like ED taking the easy road :(
  6. This is from the manual : Maximum acquisition range is 10 nautical miles for all ACM submodes except Boresight, where acquisition out to 20 nautical miles is possible. It's a lie, it's EXACTLY 10 miles !!!
  7. You mean that "bestware" site that that VR guy on youtube is mentioning ? Germany: http://tidd.ly/d33c1161 - 584€ via Bestware (MRTV Affiliate) I doubt that site is scam, it would be desastrous for his channel right ?
  8. No, that would be weird right ? Why would the small concentrated cross have the same range as the big and wide HUD mode ? It would make that mode completely useless.
  9. Uhm it's NOT "correct as is" ???? It says in the manual that bore mode should be 20 nm, (the small cross in the HUD) but it's hardlocked @ 10 nm ! Why are they saying "correct as is" ??
  10. Note : It's more of a review than a preview, he has a pre-production model that he is reviewing. It's not just summing up the specs !
  11. Right so ok the G2 is apparently ... awesome
  12. 90 minutes, first actual review : , come chat :)
  13. Computer not entirely stable ? In the F16 framerate is quite a bit lower, computer is struggling more and if not actually stable (overclock ?) it might cause crashes ? Run some prime95 and some 3dmark
  14. The 20nm boremode, is exactly 10nm instead.
  15. Sweet setup, but why not go VR at that point ?
  16. Yes, but in DCS the boresight mode only searches up to 10 nm
  17. Even HUGE aircraft, it will never lock @ 20 miles, it's always exactly 10 miles or under. So all the "20nm" modes , are in reality only 10 nm
  18. F15 looks so much sweeter in VR though
  19. I had same issue, turns out i was in 'helmet mode' , and when in that mode nothing on your HUD will lock. But you can't see that you're in helmet mode , unless you look out a side window . If you look out side window and see 'the egg' , you can't lock anything in hour HUD. So when you see the egg, and press "TMS DOWN" (or TMS UP?) once, the egg should be replaced by a little star. And then you are in the 20 miles hud-'box' mode. Problem is that both helmet mode and 'box' mode look the same on your hud
  20. Especially since in the 20nm range, or even 10, the target moves across your MFD faster than you can slew your TDC :D
  21. Yep indeed. These modes really screw me over in a dogfight lol It just seems weird that enabling the helmet complete DIS-ables the hud
  22. I noticed that when in 'helmet mode' , you can't lock anything that is right in front of you. In the normal dogfight mode where it scans the little quadrant in front of you up to 20 miles, it will autolock, but if your helmet is enabled it does not. You can only lock up stuff on your sides with the helmet then. I guess that is correct with what you just told me, except you can't lock anything in the hud even with TMS up. Oh well, these modes , i can hardly believe they'd make things so un-intuitive in real life but i'm probably just too dumb.
  23. I threw my track-ir on the ground yesterday. It spattered in a thousand pieces. Just couldn't deal with it going spastic with every little change in lighting.
  24. ALso the radar seems piss weak. So you should also narrow the horizontal width of the scan otherwise you might not even be able to bug a target at all
  25. Doesn't work when a target is bugged. You can't manually change the scale back. Very problematic in a fight
