  1. Any idea when the half-grip will be available? When I contacted VKB support they said they didn’t know yet. I don’t want to miss out on this upgrade.
  2. Is there a way to force a particular aircraft type so that it does load the line when setting waypoints before loading into an aircraft? Would be a neat addition. I do use the waypoint tool in DCS but it has its issues now and then and limitations. Not sure how easy this would be so I thought I'd ask.
  3. The Kiowa consistently crashes to desktop when I am in a mission and turn on the NVG and then the ODA. If I turn on the AI Pilot HUD, the game instantly crashes to desktop. This for me is in VR running on a Varjo Aero. The user I am quoting below uses Pimax. ---- I grabbed this from another forum so it can get fixed. Reproduce: 1. Load instant action mission (tried syria free flight and syria infiltration challenge) 2. Turn on NVG 3. Turn on ODA Either it crashes already now or 4. Toggle Pilot AI HUD If it still didn't crash, toggle ODA and HUD a couple times. I'm running updated windows 11, good hardware, pimax crystal in openxr, tested without mods, tested after slow repair + extra files, deleted saved games folder. dcs.20240703-115240.crash dcs.20240703-115240.trk

  6. I am running into this as well. It is happening on servers where I never had this issue before. It started with the patch which introduced the dynamic slots. Since then, I get the mission load fail every time I try to replay the multiplayer mission. Something broke this ability. As others have stated, when this happens, DCS is stuck and I cant' do anything. It's not crashed or non-responsive from a Windows perspective. It just is stuck and requires killing the process to get past it. As for 4YA playback, my understanding in speaking with their server admin is that they have added something to the mission which prevents people from replaying it so I doubt anyone has actually been able to replay their missions from those servers.
  7. I am seeing this as well. I would love to see this get fixed. There are a few servers which I have flown on in the past and was able to replay the track files which I then use to create videos. Now they all fail and get stuck requiring a process kill.
  8. I would like to understand this as well. Until the most recent update (maybe one before it) I was able to replay some multiplayer tracks. Now they consistently fail and get stuck at Mission Load Fail. Something changed in the recent update(s) which broke multiplayer track replay.
  9. I'm putting this here as I have heard from someone else that the map pan and zoom in / out is fine of flat screens (but this may also be an issue for flat screens). When I connect to a multiplayer server and go to spectator view, I can't control the map using mouse wheel to zoom in and out nor does left click and drag to pan the map. I first have to select the + magnifying glass at the top, draw a box to zoom in on the map and then deselect the magnifying glass. I can then use the mouse wheel and left click to manipulate the map. Additionally, when I am on the coalition dynamic slot selection screen, I cannot zoom or pan the map. This is problematic as I would like to be able to zoom in to see the bases we control in order to choose one to spawn at.
  10. Hi BigNewy, Will we be provided with an explanation of the root cause of this once resolved? Given the heightened tensions around this module, any kind of unusual breakages like this is highly suspect and so I feel that a more detailed explanation is warranted. This is not a typical bug experience as this is date specific so more than a typical approach to announcing the resolution should be offered. As a customer who paid for the Strike Eagle and still loves to fly it, this kind of thing has a notable impact upon my enjoyment. I will set my computer date back after loading DCS and then set it to automatic updates after I am done but it's all pretty impactful to my enjoyment of DCS. Thanks!
  11. Is it possible to get a list of Fuze types which will be in DCS and their specifics as exists in the real world? This could be a helpful stopgap while things are tweaked in DCS. Right now, I don't know what I should be using for a given situation nor do I know if making any changes to the fuze settings helps destroy a target or possibly reduces effectiveness against other targets.
  12. Hi! I managed to get it working. I had some odd issue which impacted SRS as well. I did a full slow repair and that seemed to resolve the issue. I then reinstalled The Way and all works. Thank you for offering to help! While I have your attention, is there a way to modify the waypoints being used in the strike eagle? It defaults to 1A (or 1B) but there's no way to tell it to start at something like 50 and to set waypoints as a target (i.e. 50. or 1.) Just curious if this was possible and i'm missing something.
  13. Wanted to try this again. Installed the latest. Followed the instructions but I am getting the no connection to DCS error.. Export.lua is good. TheWay folder is in Scripts. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?
  14. It happens in single player as well. Since DCS crashes to desktop when this happens, I can't save the track.
  15. I have this issue. I have to set the 97's fuze to 1200' for them to deploy otherwise the rods fall below the ground and then deploy skeets which do nothing. I think this is only an issue online as when I dropped CBU-97's in single player at 1200', they took a long time to fall on the parachutes.
  16. I have been able to recreate an issue I experience while online. Load a Strike Eagle with 3 x CBU-97's on one CFT (I usually put 4x GBU-12's on the other CFT). Create a program to Ripple Multiple CBU-97's. Set Quantity to 2, spacing whatever. Release two of the three without issue. Release the last one (but the program still says to release 2) and DCS crashes.
  17. I am curious about the sound as well in that is it correct behavior that the launch alert only sounds for 5 seconds and then remains off for that tracking launch? I had always relied upon the sound to know when I finally broke lock with maneuvering / terrain masking. Just curious so that I can set my expectations correctly. It is what it is.
  18. I love the Strike Eagle and am thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail however there is an issue with some of this detail not accounting for the fact that we are in a computer sim. The MFD's all have smudges on them which really shine when hit by direct sunlight which is low on the horizon. This heavily obscures the MFD's and renders them unreadable. In real life, I assume the pilot/WSO would shield the display with their hand when they need to read the display under such circumstances. We obviously can't do this in the sim. Can there be an option for fully clean MFD's? As an added bonus, adding an option to make them even brighter would be great. In these specific lighting situations, the glare from the sun hitting the glass renders the display almost completely unreadable. No hand to shield the display = unreadable display in the sim. I guess the option could be enable / disable glass cover graphic for MFD's? I only fly VR so I can only speak of my experiences there but I assume this is an issue for others on flat screen. I THINK that people who export to external MFD frames don't have this visibility issue at all and can read them clearly but I base that upon what someone else mentioned on discord. Turning away from the sun etc. have been suggested by people who I guess like this feature. Sometimes it's not feasible to do so. Also, if it's a toggle option, people can leave it on and others can turn it off (much like we can do with the pilot body) Thank you again for this great module and for taking time to read this.
  19. Yeah the rear CFT GBU-54's (didn't check with others) tend to fall SLOW and if you drop when in range and they will probably not make it to the target (my experience). If in Zone, they reach it but behave oddly. (as mentioned). Hope they do just bug fixes for the next patch and skip new features.
  20. I've heard of this issue as well on the Varjo discord. I haven't heard of it for a while though so I had assumed it was resolved. I guess it wasn't.
  21. How about this.. I volunteer @SPAS79 to maintain the Git repository for ya @Draken35.. . Seriously though, would it be acceptable to you for someone to drop your updates to the mod to a Git page just to help people find it easier or do you prefer to just leave it here in the forums? Someone (like oh.... I don't know.. SPAS79) can do the grunt work and everyone wins! I've been updating my YouTube video links to point to the latest in the forum as you post updates to help people find the latest. Thanks again for the mod! I use it daily!
  22. Hey @Draken35, does the link to the full installer also include the F-15 Strike Eagle data entry rate fix? You had released that as a minor update previously.. Just want to know what to suggest to people who want to grab the mod. Thanks!
  23. Yes! That’s a great use of the multiple navigation routes in the Strike Eagle and probably the smarter way to do it within DCS. Leave your navigation on A and then use B or C for your targets. People would just need to remember to switch back and forth as needed. Not to get too deep off subject but it’s relevant to nav points in the Strike Eagle. Here’s a great video from Casmo in which he uses the three different Nav letters to create three different flight routes using List Points (created in the mission editor).
