Don’t I need to be level flight for best accuracy?

I tried dropping JDAM at 35K and missed by probably 10 yards. Is there a more optimum altitude? I was trying to stay out of SAM range. Also is there way to drop multiple JDAMS on a single target? I have multiple stations selected. It seems like pickle has to be pressed for each bomb but missed the ship by 10 yds from 25K. All these are done in PP mode. I tried TOO with pod as well. Dropped at 20K 1 target was hit. If I had a target coordinates, if I hit the pickle each time, would they go for same target? I tried to select target in TOO mode with Pod and dropped one then selected another, pressed pickle then another etc. only hit 1 out of 4. There are a lot of questions, sorry.

I used to work in the flight deck. It’s insane up there! Hopefully they will have config for launch and recovery as well.

I’m not familiar with tomcat. I just STT lock in the jester menu in the front. What mode should I be using?

I had an inbound bogey last night with an STT lock. Said 54 miles. I watched my TID until target was inside the circle, I’m guessing means within range like the in range when dropping a JDAM in the hornet. I was around 35 miles. I fired and and 10 seconds later I made a break to the right and heard Jester say he lost lock. Went to F6 to see and both my Phoenix missiles were falling out of the sky.

I have S4 Hat depress set. All it does is declutter. It won't let me change from manual lase to auto.

I know it has to be in degrees.minutes.tenths but I don't know how to convert

I am trying to input coordinates in from online server and the coordinates are N26 14 28 But in the Tomcat I can only get in 24 14 2. How am I suppose to put the coordinates in?

If it goes into Root folder though, won't it get erased after each update? Isn't that the purpose of saved games? I can't get mine to work unless I manually put the file in the root folder.

I can only get area track. I’ve mapped point track but it only stays in area track. What could I be doing wrong? In A/G mode. I’ve had to QDES. Of course that doesn’t work on moving targets.

I hit laser latch. I didn’t get a box around the target though. Bomb never received laser apparently because it never tracked the target. Just went in the trajectory it was dropped at.

It is 100 percent in A/G mode. I was able to get a lock with QDES once I pulled trigger but it wouldn’t go to point track.

I have mapped Point track mode and nothing happens. Also did a keyboard and still shows AREA down in bottom of screen. I can get QHUD and QNOS with me S4 Hat, but QDES does not show up. I know I have it mapped correctly because I can cycle left and right with the laser digits. It show QDES as the first option on S4 Hat right.

I am trying to figure out how to designate a target. I have had QDES set, I have tried Point track and nothing is locking onto the target. Am I missing something. Also I am in a shallow orbit and like other aircraft you can slew to the target and the POD will stay on that object but in the tomcat it's always moving, so I am having to fight it with the slew which is obviously not helping the situation. Can someone inform me what I am doing wrong? I finally got the LANTIRN working in the pilot seat with the mod and now I can't drop any bombs. I know it's not realistic but I don't usually have a human RIO and Jester can't control it, so I have to myself. I It's frustrating. Thank you.

If I have auto lase set for the LANTIRN pod, do I have to have half trigger mapped or can I just use full trigger?

My friend told me to delete the fxo and metashaders2 folders in saved games. After that the picture was crystal clear again.

So I went in today to take a nice screenshot of the cockpit and mirrors when I noticed the pilot is super blurry. I have cockpit resolution to 1024 every frame. Display 1920X1080. Everything is in high. I know a few months ago it was very clear. Am I missing something?

Is there a way to map a control as the pilot to change what acquisition is used? For instance if I don’t have a human RIO but I want TWS or STT etc can I map a button to alternate between the different options?

So I have several Mods installed. OVGME is installed and folder points to my created Mods folder. There are green check marks next to the enabled mods, but they don't work in game. I was trying to do the LANTIRN Mod for the tomcat. I added the folders over into my Mods folder I created. But when in game, it doesn't show up in the controls option like youtube videos show. Am I missing something. It says to put the default.lua into the keyboard section to overwrite the original but there is no original in the input/ keyboard folder. just a keyboard.dff.lua, so I just added the default over into the folder. The readme says DCS folder but I am using open beta so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Not even my JTAC coordinates mod is working. The default.lua that is in the input folder now is the one from the download file for LANTIRN mod Any help would be great

I use DCS mapping. I have tried saitek software programming and has problems so I uninstalled. I cleared out my DCS mapping re-did it again and so far it’s working.

I gave seen quite a few videos where people have watched the bomb or bombs down close to ground and then stop following and watch targets be destroyed. Pretty much a birds eye view. Anybody know how to do that? What I’m referring to starts around 4:15 at end of video.

can anybody give me some tips with the TPOD? I’m used to the A10 which has the hud symbology shoeing me where the TGP is looking. SA page is helpful for SAMS but for ground targets like tanks and trucks that don’t show up on the SA page, how do I go about that?

It is a pre created mission so elevation is grayed out. No option to change that. Also strange that it is set to FAC. Isn't it suppose to be FAC engage?

I have one of my hat switches mapped for radar elevation up and down. Most of the time I don't have any problems, but lately it doesn't seem to be responding. When I go to move the radar up it either won't move, hold it in and it goes up but as soon as I let go it drops back down. Same for my FLIR zoom Last night I at first couldn't get it to go passed 0, then when I held it in the hat it zoomed in but as soon as I let go, back down to zero. I have it mapped as a button, but I always have. I did a few restarts of the PC and DCS and removed the controls and re added them again a few times and then it worked again. But for how long? I am so confused!

Why is it when I call JTAC they always tell me no further tasking needed when I start a mission? I keep doing create a fast mission and they never give me a task How can I fix this? I put my own vehicle to try and create a JTAC but it says in designator in orange no LOS which is weird because nothing is blocking the view
