OpenXR Guide - Deprecated - This time for real (▀̿Ĺ̯▀̿ ̿)
killerquagmire replied to nikoel's topic in Virtual Reality
Thanks for the reply. I'm also running this on Windows 11 and apparently that's a problem in itself. Are you running an HP Reverb by chance? If so on which OS? -

The main reason I'm doing this is because I upgraded to an HP Reverb from Oculus but the game is stuttering so bad it's unplayable. Open composite didn't help. Any ideas? -

Trying to get this going. I'm stuck at delete D3DCompiler_47.dll because the file is nowhere to be found. I searched the entire DCS install folder including the Bin and the file does not exist. So what now?? -
Upgrading from Oculus to HP Reverb = Absolute Trainwreck
killerquagmire replied to killerquagmire's topic in Virtual Reality
Ok so I tried reducing the graphics to low and I'm still having the same issue so now I know there is definitely something not right here. One thing I noticed is that when DCS starts the screen gets all scrambled. It didn't do that with the Oculus. It almost seems like there is multiple instances of the game trying to run. Any advice would be greatly appreciated guys. -
Just purchased a new HP Reverb today to replace my Oculus Rift S and I must say I'm extremely disappointed. I have a pretty beastly system with a RTX 3090 and 32 gb of Ram. I was running the game smoothly at mostly medium settings with my oculus. I plugged in my HP Reverb using the same settings and the game is unplayable because of so much stuttering. This is in a well lit room so I'm not sure what the problem is but my gut is telling me this can't be right. Has anyone else on here upgraded to an HP Reverb from Oculus had a similar experience? I know a lot of folks on here have raved about the Reverb so what am I missing? Surely I must have something configured wrong.
-
Hey guys, just got my new Reverb today and I'm having problems transitioning my system over from the Rift. From what I've read, it should be as simple as unplugging the Rift. I was hoping to keep Oculus software and use the Revive mod that allows you to play those games on the Reverb, but it appears I'm having some interference issues. Whenever I start DCS it starts the game in oculus app even though it's not plugged in. I installed Steam VR and was able to get DCS going in my Reverb but the oculus app still starts in the background and I'm getting an insane amount of jitter and the mouse is not functioning within the game. I had to take off the headset and click all the buttons on the desktop outside of VR just to get a mission going. Again, I'm sure this is all to do with some cross interference so I'm hoping someone else has upgraded from Oculus and can give me some guidance here. I'm on Openbeta- latest edition and I launch the game with skatezilla's updater tool.

Can't open port 10308 on Tp-Link AX-11000
killerquagmire replied to killerquagmire's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
Update: I spoke to TP-link tech support and they said the problem is that I have a private WanIP address and would need to contact my ISP and have it changed to Public in order for Port Forwarding to work. Initially I thought halleluiah!- this should be an easy fix! Not so much. My ISP provider (AT&T) said I would have to pay 15 bucks a month for a static IP address in order to do this. This can't be right?? Am I missing something here guys??? I hope someone can help because I don't think everyone who hosts a multiplayer mission from the mission editor is paying a monthly fee to do so. In fact, I know better because I used to do this all the time back when I had Mediacom as an ISP and I wasn't required to pay any type of extra fee. There has to be another way! -
Players can't find the server when I try to host
killerquagmire replied to tityus's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
My ISP is AT&T. How do I check for what you are talking about? I looked through my router configuration (which is a Tp-Link AX11000) and I didn't see anything that said DS Lite. -

killerquagmire replied to tityus's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
Yep. Same here. I have tried everything. Opened port on my router for UDP and TCP, shut down firewall and antivirus to no avail. I even tried calling my ISP and they assured me the port was not being blocked on their end but yougetsignal still shows it blocked. I'm completely stumped at this point. Are you using Windows 11 by chance? -
Can't open port 10308 on Tp-Link AX-11000
killerquagmire replied to killerquagmire's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
I did the tracert cmd prompt. The first address listed matched my Lan IP address listed in my router configuration. I am connected to the internet and I can see my dynamic ip address as well as the default gateway address. They do not match btw. -

Can't open port 10308 on Tp-Link AX-11000
killerquagmire replied to killerquagmire's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
I have AT&T for my service provider. Their modem has a built in router, which I disabled once I got the Tp-Link Archer so it wouldn't cause any interference. I just hung up the phone with At&T tech support and they confirmed that the port was already open on their end. Do I need to go back and enable my isp router again? And thank you for helping! -

Can't open port 10308 on Tp-Link AX-11000
killerquagmire replied to killerquagmire's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
Thank you for the reply. So if I'm understanding you correctly, you are saying that the IP address in my DCS server (and yougetsignal) should NOT match my the address my router has listed for my PC? Also, shouldn't the port show open when I look it up on https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ regardless if I'm on DCS since I opened it in the router config? As for the Firewall settings, (edit) I just checked for open ports using the cmd: netsh firewall show state and there are no active ports open. Not sure where to go from here. Here's what my settings are in Tp-Link based on their tutorial: Service name: HTTP (selected in dropdown as instructed by Tp-LInk Tutorial) Device IP Address: (My PC address selected from dropdown) External Port 10308 Internal Port 10308 Protocol: ALL (TCP & UDP) null -
Hey guys, I'm terrible with networking so I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue. I can't host a multiplayer mission so I did my due diligence and opened the necessary port on my router for TCP and UDP. However, it's still not working. So I went to https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ and sure enough, it shows that the port is still closed. However, one thing I did notice is that both DCS and Yougetsignal have a different address listed than the actual IP address associated with my PC in the drop down list in the NAT Forwarding menu of my router. I tried putting that address in manually but the router will not accept it. I get a message saying "The IP address and LAN IP address should be in the same subnet." So all that said, I'm sure this all has to do with the address listed for my PC in the router not matching the address pulled by DCS and Yougetsignal. So how do I fix this? Thanks in advance.

solved OpenComposite has destroyed my VR Experience! Need help!
killerquagmire replied to killerquagmire's topic in VR Bugs
Thanks for the replies guys but I just said the heck with it and reinstalled Windows. I use my PC only as a gaming rig so it wasn’t that big of a deal. Probably would have invested more time in trying to undo the damage I did. I’m normally pretty good with installing mods but that one just confused the heck out of me. I looked high and low in OpenComposite for the 3 files specified and I just couldn’t find them anywhere which is why I opted to do the system wide install. Definitely user error on my part. But anyway, I’m back up and running smooth after the Windows wipe. Thanks again guys. -
solved OpenComposite has destroyed my VR Experience! Need help!
killerquagmire replied to killerquagmire's topic in VR Bugs
Thank you for the reply. The issue goes beyond DCS. Even on the oculus home screen I'm experiencing a tremendous amount of stuttering. I uninstalled the tool kit and OXR to no avail. I also use the DCS updater tool and I did try the repair and clean and DCS is still unplayable due to stuttering. I used the OpenComposite launcher as instructed here https://gitlab.com/znixian/OpenOVR to do a system wide installation and I'm afraid that may be the issue as I don't see any option to uninstall that or roll it back. I already know I obviously went down the wrong path and screwed something up because none of the DLL's even populate. All I get on the launcher is the option to switch to SteamVR. Of course as a last ditch effort I tried switching to SteamVR and the problem still persists. I hope you guys can help me because I'm feeling pretty screwed at this point. -

killerquagmire replied to killerquagmire's topic in VR Bugs
Thank you for the reply. Intel 10600k, RTX3090, 32 GB 3200 mhz ram, Oculus Rift-S, windows 11. The stuttering issue wasn't present until I installed OpenComposite and OPenXR tools. I uninstalled the tools and even reinstalled my oculus but the problem persists. I'm assuming it has to do with the OpenComposite launcher. -
solved OpenComposite has destroyed my VR Experience! Need help!
killerquagmire posted a topic in VR Bugs
Hey guys, I made a terrible mistake by installing OpenComposite and the related software and it has made my VR unplayable and I can't figure out how to roll it back. I'm getting extreme stutter even outside of the game. I followed this link https://www.gamersbynight.com/dcs-settings-vr/ and installed OpenComposite, OpenXR and the open XR developers tools. I couldn't figure out how to find the individual files for DCS so I just used the Opencomposite system wide installer. I believe that was mistake. I have tried uninstalling Open XR and the developer tools and still have the problem. I also tried reinstalling my Oculus but I still have the same issue. There doesn't seem to be any info out there on rolling back OpenComposite once initiated. Any help would be greatly appreciated because as of right now, I have no idea what to do aside from a complete Windows reinstall and I really want to avoid that if at all possible. I'm using the Oculus Rift S and Windows 11. Thanks in advance. -
I fly the F-18 and every time I try to watch a playback for a track from the carrier, it always gets hung up at the wheel chock removal. Is there a fix for this?

JSOW coordinates keep getting overwritten in PP mode
killerquagmire replied to killerquagmire's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Ok, so it looks like the PP feature for JDAMS is broken. I have researched several guides and youtube tutorials and followed them step by step and no matter what, my 4 JDAMS only track to two targets regardless of how I input them into the UFC. Hopefully they get a fix for this soon. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has had any recent success with this. -
JSOW coordinates keep getting overwritten in PP mode
killerquagmire replied to killerquagmire's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
I still want to know how to do it in PP mode though so i don't have to carry the targeting pod. I'm using the adapter to attach two missiles on a single station on each wing. I know I need to incorporate pp2 in there somehow but as I said, it switches back to pp1 when I try to step to add the fourth coordinate to pp2. Of course I switch it back to pp2 to add that last set of coordinates but once again, when I hit the weapon release, all 4 missiles split to two targets. Can someone walk me through the sequence to have the missiles track to four different targets? I appreciate the help guys. It's not an easy thing to load up 4 coordinates in the UFC over and over to figure this out through trial and error lol. -
JSOW coordinates keep getting overwritten in PP mode
killerquagmire replied to killerquagmire's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Yes, I'm using 4 JSOWS on 2 stations. I tried assigning them to PP1 & PP2 but met the same result. How do I assign them properly using the step process? I noticed that I can assign the first two coordinates to PP1 by stepping but when I switch to PP2 and attempt to do the same for the next two, it switches me back to PP1 when I step to the 4th coordinate. Also, once I get the coordinates all in there correctly, do I simply hit the weapon release 4 times or do i need to manually switch between PP1 & PP2? -
So I've been trying to follow Wagg's tutorial on hitting 4 different targets with JSOW missiles using PP mode but it seems no matter what I do, the missiles only track to two targets. I tried running them all under one mission (PP1) and stepped after entering each coordinate as instructed by Waggs and no joy. I also tried assigning two coordinates to PP1 and the other two coordinates to PP2 and was met with the same outcome- missiles simply split between two targets. So what am i doing wrong here??
