  1. Hey guys! How y’all doing? Currently I have zero knowledge about modding, 3d modeling or coding. But I am trying to understand a bit how modding works because I would like to learn and I have an idea that I would like to work on. I am thinking if there's a way that I could use the SU-25T Shkval screen to work on the C-130J Anubis mod and use it as a targeting pod, so we could have a fun AC-130 to mess around with. I could use the Shkval screen in one of the screens in the cargo station of the Hercules or just push a button on the keyboard and have the shkval full screen on our computers. This would also be great for me to learn and understand about the folders, files, modding and a bit of coding. I see the developers of the Gripen Mod are using the shkval in one of the screens of their mod, so I imagine I could make this work with the C-130J Anubis mod somehow. Do you guys think I could make this idea work? Do you have any tips on where I could start? Any piece of advice would help. The idea is to have something similar to this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1s2IeIbITDk&list=WL&index=17&t=83s Thank you!
  2. 1 - in DCS it's exagerated. 2 - it's the only aircraft in DCS that this happen. 3 - this is not real life... there are a lot other factors that lack realism in DCS than just the HUD. 4 - we cannot repeat the HUD on the F-15C MFD in DCS. =/ I think we have more than enough reasons to fix this.
  3. Yeah! I do that too!! But still, in some conditions it is still really difficult to see something. I think ED should give FC3 more attention, since it's still being sold, a lot of people use it and it's a lot fun.
  4. Hmm, that is interesting. Taking a look at the other from threads... I guess since both cockpits panels (the image files) normally come inside DCS World folders, the Server somehow managed to switch these. But anyway... now I know that you have to mess with files/MODs and that is not livery dependent. This is what I wanted to know. Thank you guys for taking the time to discuss about this. Cheers!
  5. The first two first pictures were taken in a server long time ago (I'm sorry I can't remember what server I was flying). The last picture I took today and shows the regular panel. You can notice colors and markers on the gauges.
  6. You are right. That makes sense! But there is something weird, cause I have never installed any mods for the Huey. lol Crazy hehehe
  7. Nice!! Thanks for the heads up!! Ahh now I understand. So what I saw was in some particular servers. These different cockpits don't normally come with DCS, they had them installed on the servers themselves. Now I get it, thanks a lot! =)
  8. Hi guys, I'm sorry to bring this up again... but I have tried pretty much all liveries and set the Huey as civil aircraft (by checking the little check box) but I couldn't see the colored gauges in any of the livery variations. It's not that I really wanna have colors on my Huey lol but I'm really trying to understand what it's going on lol
  9. Hey guys! Why do I sometimes see COLORED GAUGES in the Huey? Once in a while I notice that the gauges on the Huey dash have colored indications. Does it depend on a specific livery or country? I've noticed it in some random servers, but could not find the huey with colored dash in the mission editor. I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, I couldn't find anything. Thanks!
  10. I recorded this video to show the bug. I'm having the same issues. Water is set to low.
  11. That already helped a lot! Thanks a lot bud!! I will take a better look! Thanks!
  12. Hi guys! I would like to play a sound when loading and unloading crates when using CTLD. But I would like this audio to sound only to the player who is actually loading/unloading the cargo, and not to play the sound to all the players online. Is that possible in the Lua Scrip? What code line could I use to do that? I hope I made myself clear... English is not my first language and I'm not a programmer either... I'm just messing around with the CTLD script. Thanks for your support!
  13. I have Oculus Rift CV1 and I had the exact same problem with the Huey. I restarted the game in the "regular screen/monitor mode" (not using VR), then it worked fine, then I restarted the game in VR mode again and the problem was gone. Weird.
  14. Yes, I'm aware of all that. But even set to the maximum, those controls are still not enough. I wish ED would give more attention to these modules. A lot of people use and like them, plus they are still being sold, so it would be fair to take good care of those modules as well.
  15. Hi folks. As the title says, the HUD brightness is VERY dim, thus making it impossible to read during day time. I have also noticed that the gama brightness inside the F15 cockpit looks higher/brighter (I'm using VR) than inside other aircrafts. I apologize if this has been posted recently, I searched on the forum but I could only find a topic from 2020. Thank you guys!
  16. I've been quite upset with this. I frequently move the units on the ground but they stop out of nothing, move slow or don't move at all. :(
  17. Still a great idea. I would like to draw attention to it again.
  18. Agreed and also curious to know if this is a WIP.
  19. Hi! Does that mean that you guys will lower the life value? Or it's supposed to be like this? I tried throwing about SIX BetAB-500ShP with the SU-25T and the thing won't die. Thanks!
  20. 1 - Again, the problem here is that water is looking like OIL SPILL. It has a BLACK color in ANY weather conditions. This is not correct. Again [2], this is the link where I saved some screenshots from old and new DCS's water. You may want to take a quick look https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PYTrRg4q8Aoe6_tTCQN4ZSGnQJonkY-Y?usp=sharing I also found this cool youtube video that you guys might wanna check out.
  21. Yes, because a glass of water is exactly identical to an ocean. Even the waves are the same! When I want to swim I don't go to the beach, I just dive into a glass of water. By the way... the waters in the Gulf map look VERY turkish blue near the land and then suddently get black. "Super realistic". And no, the ocean is not blue because of the reflection of the blue sky. The big mass of water together makes it look blue. If it was the reflection the small ponds would also be crystal blue, and not brownish (due to sand, dust and mud). And the ponds do reflect. As I said before, sometimes the water looks like oil spill... and that is not for every user of DCS. For some people it's VERY dark and blackish, for some people it's darker but not so much.. so again, for people who are not seeing it so dark, you may just ignore this topic. This might be a problem that needs a fix.
  22. I'm sorry... I meant: You could JOIN Hoggit's and Buddyspike's Blueflag Servers. I missed the 'JOIN' hehe sorry. YES!!! That's what I'm talking about
  23. Which is not the case. Water is looking black in all conditions. SEA WATER IS BLUE, NOT BLACK. It's like you guys believe in flat Earth too... this is crazy lol If you guys don't know what sea water look like maybe you can do a research on google images, youtube videos, deep web.. or you know... maybe just go to a beach. lol
