That's even worse! if it's continuously saving in the hard disk, the process should be slower and more time consuming. Where is the DCS temp folder?

But the point should be disable the "live" process, not the action of saving at the end of the flight. The idea is to reduce the load on the CPU during the game (as well as the time spent saving is a waste of time, even in the RAM, if at the end of the day you don't want to save a track) Thanks for the tip, anyway!

The A-10a. Reasons: 1. I don't now who was the smart ass that decided to place the fuel inlet in the nose of the aircraft. Once you are connected, you lost mostly all visual references, including the tanker lights. 2. Everytime you disconnect from the boom, you have to reopen the fuel inlet (first times it happens, I din't even know why the boom didn't connect again) 3. Once you are connected, the A-10 tends to lose altitude constantly (I don't know if the boom push down the nose or what). You have to re-trim very quick or you'll loose the contact quite fast. The F-14b is a tough one too, but in the end I was able to refuel it completely during the last free period after a few hours of trying (4-5 disconnects, that's true). The principal problems for me were: 1. The F-14 doest not have the air speed shown in the HUD. The approach is difficult when you can't calculate your speed relative to the tanker's. And the same applies when you try to maintain tankers speed. 2. And, I don't know why, but when I pulled up the stick a little bit, the aircraft jumped upwards violently (even with curves set). So each attempt to refuel I had to start higher and constanly push the stick down.

Saving the flight in "real time" feature is very bugged. Most of the time, when you replay the track, things happen that don't happen during the game (been killed when and where you weren't, crash onto the ground, etc) So, for me this feature is useless 90% of the times. Why having processes consuming CPU every time you fly, when most of the times you will not save the track in the end? And, as bugged as it is, this is more true. When you need to record some achivement or for trying to understand what happens during the flight, it is useless too. So, what is the point of having this process running yes or yes? Will it be possible in future releases to have a "checkbox" in the settings to remove/allow this option?. I mean, to remove/activate the process that is saving the flight in real time into memory. I don't know if the performance of the game will be affected by far, but surely to eliminate these processes will be not harmful. Every MHz or FPS gained will be welcome.

As the Eagle Dinamics F-16c module is free on Steam for a couple of weeks, I have adapted my former mission "Iron Eagle 2" for the ED F-16c Block 50 In this mission you will take the role of Matt "Cobra" Cooper in the 80's Iron Eagle 2 film. Cover the ground unit from enemy attacks, clear the airspace and fly into the gorge to fire your missiles at the compound through the ventilation shafts. Just as Cooper did in the film!!!! I have been requested by some of you to make a version for the F/A18 hornet of the campaing "The Abkhazian war". I don't know why but for some people the harrier doesn`t have the Gunpod loaded for the first mission, as intended. It doesn't happens to me I have the gunpod loaded and I can kill the helos with guns (a bit difficult, but possible). I have added a workaround above in the Fixes section. In the other hand, the goal of the campaing is not killing everyone in a single mission (what is imposible, of course). The scenario is persistent so, order a recon for some of the nearest POI, get the exact position of the enemy units there. Make your strategy, kill a handfull of them and return home. Tomorrow, in your next mission, those units you destroyed will not be there. You choose your own missions and how to do them. The only goal is for the campaing: you have to rescue the hostages from the concentration camps located ind Abkhazia. So, clear the way to the concentration camps, send a "rescue" mission from F10 menu (and cover them!!! ^_^). Or do it by yourself choosing slot 4 and land near the concentration camp (if you own the huey).

Hello, Now that we are in home because the COVID-19, I've been finishing a campaing based in a fictional story that happens in the Caucasus. I will upload it to ED website user files, but I will leave here it in advance as well. The main characteristics for the campaings are: - Persistent scenario: all the stuff you destroy it remains destroyed in next missions. Yhe same applies for what the enemy destroys, except you and your wingman. Protect your assets!!! As allow DCS to write files in your PC for storing status is a bit risky, I will explain how to "install" the campaing to avoid the risk. - Introduction mission: Where is explained how to command AI units. - Command AI units: You can order several units to do some tasks as recon, escort, refuel, return to base, etc. through the F10 radio menu (open de comunication MAIN menu and in the F10 option, you will find the type of units you can command and the submenus to give orders to them) You can find where the AI units are based through the F10 map. - Areas of interest in the map(POI as Point of Interest): You can't see in the F10 map the an enemy unit until it has been detected by your coalition. In the F-10 map you will find TACAN units , playing the role of interest areas found by satellite surveillance in the enemy territory. Sent recon missions to these areas, but be careful. If one of your units is destroyed, it will remain destroyed for next missions!!! - Choose your own target: as the commander of the operation you can choose how to acomplish your mission. From the 2nd mission, no instructions will be given, it is up to you what to do. Order someone to recon an area to locate targets, or recon it by yourself, attack some objetive or what ever you want. - 4 client slot available: Starting with the 2nd mission, you can choose between 4 different slots at the begining of the mission. In 2 of them you will take off from a short runway, and you will have preset payloads that you can't change. In 1 of them you will VTO from a FARP, and you can change your pay load at will. 1 extra for Huey owners, allow you to take control a UH-1 to try the rescue missions by your self - Random events: some times random events will happen. (Remember that if you take off from the FARP, you can choose your payload) React in consecuence! - Random weather: each time you start a new mission, the weather for that mission will be random. - Rescue the Prisoners: to win the campaing you will have to rescue the hostages in all the concentration camps. But once done, you can continue with the operation in the area if you want. - Radio messages: many radio messages with real voices, to improve inmersion. - Many hours of fun: As there are many things to do, you will have many hours of fun with "infinite" missions. Do not try always the same. Yes, mavericks and GBUs are "ass kickers". But try dumb bombs, rockets, and other less acurate weapons to increase the fun! The scenario is persistent: kill some units, end the mission and in the next mission the scenario will be the same, and those units will remain killed. - DCS AI is more Artificial than Inteligent. Try to keep it simple ordering a unit one task at a time. - Do not allow the enemy to destroy your tanker or awacs. You will need them!!! - Remeber that you can change your slot in mission too. If a random even happens, press ESCAPE, choose madrid FARP, load AIM-9s and go for it! - Sometimes is easier to succed in your mission if you have an escort (especially for air to air combat). Remember that you can use your assets to help you - You and your wingman are inmortal. If you are not sure about a POI, or you know that is protected by SAM units, recon it by yourself before sent any other unit. - If you know the exact position of a unit, thanks to a RECON flight, remeber that you can use the CAS page of your Harrier to store it as a target. - You can end a mission, when you want. Just, press ESCAPE and then END MISSION. All that have been killed will be stored when the unit/scenery is destroyed. - If some - Once a mission is ended, ALWAYS click on "end mission" button (even if you have died). Otherwise you will play the same weather again. - Do not concern about you or your wingman. If you died, it does not count for the persistent scenario, you can play again and again. - Take into acount that if you destroy something, it will remain destroyed for next missions. Even if you died, you cancel the mission or end it at any point. Have fun!!!!

Check this: You have to be veeeeery close to the target to maximize the efectiveness of the Shrike. So prepare to sneak at loooooow level flight. ^_^
