  1. I don't have a solid reference for it but I know a few differences for sure... First of all wich E's and F's are we talking about? From the externals F's and later E's are pretty similar. Early E's had the different gun nozzle for example. These are the differences I know without looking them up, But I can try to find some sources. Later E's have the sloted stabilizer, F's don't have this feature F's always had the agile eagle upgrade (slats) F's where initally unable to do aerial refueling (It was removed once they where in germany), but the AAR capability was restored in the Peace Rhine (?) Upgrade (this one also gave them Mavs and the AIM-9L and so on. F's never carried Sparrows, they were Sidewinder only until early 90's with the KWS/ICE Upgrade (the launchers/ejectors were'nt installed and the APQ-120 wasn't able to support AIM-7's) F's lacked the aft most fuselage tank (Nr. 7 ircc) F's never hat the TISEO F's and Late E's had different formation lights than early E's, they're a bit wider. And then for the armament, the initally F lacked most of the guided/smart a/g weapons and sensors (no Mav, no TGP, etc.) it was pretty much only capable of dropping dumb irons and fire rockets
  2. It looks more like the aircrafts identification. The German Air Force used 37+ and 38+ for their Phantoms. So it might be just the Jet from wich the Ejection Seat (?) was removed from.
  3. Thats how I understood it as well, but I was wondering if I might have overread it
  4. Where did they say that they will do a C or D?
  5. AFAIK the USAF F-4's never got a pulse doppler radar. But I've read somewhere that the late E's had a rudimentary look down shoot down, which was done by some computer upgrades
  6. Have you done a Stored HDG or Norm Alignment? in case of the Norm, have you entered the coordinate? have you changed your aircraft's weight during the alignment?
  7. Yeah, that's what i meant. I was a bit unclear in my first post. There was some kind of switch or valve directly on the engine.
  8. IIRC they added the AGM 65 and some other fancy stuffin 53. But I if understood the faq right, we get 65's and in general some updates that where retro fitted into older birds.
  9. Haha, jepp that is true Ah as far as I know, the E also has the cartridge system. AFAIK there is no real APU in the E either. You use either Ground Air or the cartridge. There is a post about this somewhere in the forum...
  10. Yeah I read something whit stage 1 afterburnder as well, but they introduced the other system to safe some fuel.
  11. Gleiches bei mir, alles glatt gelaufen
  12. While I was reading through some websites of the F-4 Phantom it was mentioned on a scale moddeling website that the german F-4F had a measure to prevent the very dark exhaust gasses. It was stated thath they increased the temperature within the engine. But this had a negative impact on engine lifetime, so there was a switch installed on the engine to switch between both operating modes. Higher temperatures for wartime, lower temperatures for peacetime. I was wondering if that's a thing on later E models as well. If it was, I think it could be cool if it get its way into our F-4 as well.
  13. Ich würde mich mal mit einklinken Edit, da keine antworten hier mehr kamen würde ich abspringen. es sei denn es meldet sich nochmal wer
  14. I know this Picture but if you read through my original question you'll se that the question was: what does the PM do? It wasn't the question if its implemented or not But anyway, thank you
  15. Ah ok, Thanks. At least one make more sense now. The LVL ist as far as I know, the ECCM Level.
  16. Hey Guys, I was just looking through the new features of the last update and I've found some new elements on the CNTL Page of the FCR. Most of them are unusable but it would be interesting to know what they do. I couldn't find any information about the PM (Power Management) and the BCN DLY (Beacon Delay), neither in IRL manuals nor in manuals for other common F16 simulators. So can anybody tell me what these options do?
