Hi Tyger I see you have lost your signature link to your tutorial videos. Any plans to update them to the DCS A-10C Release version. I've learnt a lot watching your tutorials  GAJ52

Support for other apps using a 2nd monitor while playing?
GAJ52 replied to undertheradar's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I'm using 1920x1200 and 1280x1024 working fine here  -
Hi Viper Your right, I must have been in the GUI screen when I tried it. While flying all is well. I'll experiment more before asking stupid questions in the future

I have DCS A-10C on my main 24 in monitor and the Manual open on a connected 19 in monitor. Every time I click on the manual to change page the DCS sim closes down to the task bar icon. It loads again fine when I click the DCS taskbar icon, but I find this a bit irritating. Apart from having the PDF manual printed, is there a way around this issue somewhere in Window 7 settings to keep both programs open ?? BTW I'm not using DCS in full screen mode. GAJ52

Page 502 of the manual advises to turn off all external lights via the 'Master Exterior Light Switch' Where is this located please I can't find it. Thanks :)

I am fairly new to the A-10C and trying to get to grips with all the realistic systems programmed into this fantastic aircraft. At the moment I don't have a clue how to use the Mission Editor, I've tried to create a basic training mission but the the program crashes when I try to fly it, so I'm obviously doing something wrong. Can I ask one of the many talented A-10C pilots on this forum to create a training mission for me that will enable me to start from the ramp (cold and dark) with a wingman, use radios for airfield operations, fly to a target area and blow up a couple of inert (won't shoot back) targets then return to the same or different airfield with ATC comms so I can park and shut down. I have tried the Black Sea Free Flight mission but can't get the ATC to answer even with the radios on and 129.000 selected. Many thanks, Glen

Hi Guys I need some help please with A-10C beta 4. I'm using Track IR 4 with the hat mounted Trackclip, the new 5.1 beta 02 software and Wags DCS profile. Problem is I can't look down at the radio's with the view jumping all over the place. If I'm lucky I can use pause just at the right time and see the radios at a side on view - not very practical. I have tried different zoom levels but nothing seems to get a smooth vies of the side panels. Anyone know what I may be doing wrong  Glen

Thats good news - many thanks :)

Using my usual training mission which is the Instant Action - East Georgia Spring, I attacked the first mission targets with M151 rockets. Now these are just two trucks and although I admit I did not get a direct hit on either, the rockets struck within about 2 truck lengths of each. I was expecting a fragmentation hit with a delayed kill but both trucks survived intact. I appreciate these are anti personnel weapons but I expected a kill on a truck within a few feet. What is the kill radius of these weapons or do I have to put them through the windscreen each time.

Thanks for your help on this subject. I have just loaded the mission in the Mission Editor, changed the ordnance and selected fly. It does say the changes will be lost if you say No to saving the file, I pressed No but when the mission loaded it still had the new weapons I selected. When I re-loaded the mission from the Instant Action menu the original (default) loadout was still there. So it seems to work for one mission only

I normally use the Instant action, East Georgia - Spring mission for training. Is it possible to temporarily change the weapon loadout using the Mission Editor for one flight only so I don't re-write the default mission. I have tried changing the weapons but the mission editor asks me to save the changes before I can fly it. Apart from this simple task I have never used the Mission Editor before, so don't really know what I'm doing

Many thanks for your help guys. I must have been through that list 6 or 7 times but couldn't find any reference to Black Shark - I must be getting old. Anyway found it thanks to your help

Thanks for the link, but that describes how to set up a profile once its selected from the profile list. My question is how do I add DCS: A-10C and Black Shark to the profile list ?

Sorry I don't know if this is the right forum but I'm trying to setup the graphics for the A-10C but the new Nvidia Inspector (1.93) does not have a Profile for the A-10C exe or the Black Shark. Anyone know how to include a profile - can't find any help info on the Nvidia Inspector  Glen

Already got it - thats why I'm so interested in the Warthog :smilewink:

You should all be in sales - you have just sold it to me

I am hanging on for the finished product, but some of the posts on the beta version look very interesting. Is it worth me getting the Beta or wait for the finished product ? Gaj

Is there a list of any settings I should apply to Nvidia's Control Panel specifically for Black Shark ?
-
Yes thats one of the reasons I mentioned that BS doesn't appear to be using all cores. I may be wrong but I thought 1.0.2 had core affinity built in.

I am running the following setup Extreme X9650 @3.00 Ghz with 4Mbs of ram, Win 7 Pro x64, GTX460 1GB card, Black Shark 1.0.2. I was using a Nvidia 8800GTX card with no problems Black Shark was running smooth as silk. Recently this card packed up so I bought the GTX460 1GB as a replacement (couldn't afford the 480), and installed the lastest drivers. I have now noticed BS, although I am getting 30 to 50 FPS is fairly stuttery compared to before. Also with Windows Task Manager open, of the cores 0,1,2,3 - 1 and 2 are not being used, core 0 works at 30% capacity and core 3 about 80%. Can someone please point me in the right direction to get BS running smoothly again. Thanks Glen

Found the problem, the computer was full of dust and the graphics card was overheating. Now the fan can turn again it sits at 100% most of the time when flying BS with temp about 85 C

I have been using Black Shark 1.0.1 on Vista x64 with no real problems. Having recently upgraded to Win 7 Pro x64 (with all latest drivers) I have reinstalled original Black Shark and applied the latest 1.0.2 patch. Now sometimes during flight a grey checkerboard effect flashes up covering the whole screen. I haven't really had time to troubleshoot this yet but I am also using Track IR5. Before I start deleting everything is there a list somewhere as to what has been added and fixed in the 1.0.2 patch. I don't fly online or with Flamming Cliffs 2 so just wondering if I really need it ? Thanks Glen

On my computer its the " ' " key. Shows you the current mission score.
