  1. Thanks
  2. But where do we look to find this information ?
  3. Where do I find information on this EPLRS, I've looked in the manual but can't find anything, its not even in the Acronyms section. Where do I check to see what vehicles or aircraft are EPLRS enabled ?
  4. I've just seen your answer in my other post on this subject. Sorry for repeating the post :music_whistling:
  5. That's interesting, has this just been implimented in 1.1.0.8 as I'm sure I had datalink transmission im previous versions. As I don't have a clue what EPLRS is, I'll look it up in the manual. Thanks for your help
  6. I have added a Predator FAC to a 'Create Fast Mission'. He doesn't show up on my TAD, although I can contact him by radio and he gives me a 9-Line. When he sends the datalink (red triangle) nothing happens. I have checked my Own ID 01 and Grp ID 01. If I contact one of the ground based JTAC's I get normal datalink info on my TAD when he sends me the target details. This was OK in 1.1.0.7 has anything changed in 1.1.0.8 maybe a setting I have missed :(
  7. Its definately a bug. I've been using the Smerch Hunt mission all the way through the Beta's and previous patches for JTAC training, without any problems apart from the Oil Press Warning going off due to windmilling engines (now fixed). Just tried the mission again and I'm getting the Negative answer to startup.
  8. "Try to add a predator Command Post to its group and see if that helps" Thanks Cibit for your help - I'm no expert with the mission builder, what does your comment mean ?
  9. Hi I have created a mission using 'Create Fast Mission' and placed a Preditor FAC flying over the battle area. Prior to 1.1.0.8 I could recieve datalink info but now the Preditor is not showing up on my TAD and when he sends the datalink target info nothing happens. My Net ID number is 01, but I don't know how to check or set the Preditor's Net ID to be the same number :helpsmilie:
  10. I have just downloaded a couple of the amended Startup Guides for 1.1.0.8 kindly donated by fellow forum members, and noticed they still don't turn on the CDU and EGI switches until after engine start. Page 434 of the manual states these should now be turned on before engine start to facilitate a faster alignment process.
  11. Hi WarriorX Can I add my thanks for this great PDF, I have printed it out and use it for every mission  Can I request a couple of small additions if you get around to another update. Between 49 and 50 'Set takeoff flap' Now I'm getting better at this sim I'm actually getting back home again and landing :smilewink: so a 'Shutdown Checklist' would be useful added to this current PDF. I currently use something scribbled on a piece of paper, taken from the manual, not as professional as your document :)
  12. I new there had to be a way - thanks Sobek
  13. Is there any way to get rid of those red triangles once the relevent target is destroyed. Just did the Smerch Hunt and I think I had 5 triangles, which gets a bit confusing when they are close to each other.
  14. I tried a night mission today for the first time to try out the Night Vision Goggles. I am able to turn them on ok and adjust the gain up and down, but found then very weird to use. At what stages during the flight/mission are they normally used. I noticed even with the gain turned down the cockpit instruments and lights were practically unreadable, so I assume they are not switched on all the time.
  15. Thanks guys you have all made very helpfull comments its much appreciated  Having re-read the TrackIR manual a couple of times since posting this message, I now realise the deadzone is only at the center and not anywhere I decide to stop moving my head, i.e. at a switch. I have now gone round in a full circle and after a couple of minor tweaks decided to use the 'pause' option but not as a toggle as I had it before, seems to work very well now Its amazing what you learn when you read the manual :book:
  16. Anyone know if its possible to program a 'deadzone' into the TrackIR 5 software. I am currently using Wags TrackIR profile, but often find it difficult to click a switch on the panel because I can't keep my head still enough (I know I can use pause). It would be useful, as in the joystick software, to allow a small head movement without the 'head position moving in cockpit'. I noticed there is a Deadzone template within the software but don't want this to screw up Wags profile. :helpsmilie:
  17. Thanks Tyger, standing by :)
  18. Any way to decrease the number of radio subtitles displayed on the left of the screen. I've just completed the first mission in the Devil's Cross campaign and had 26 lines of text covering the left side of the screen  I know I can turn them off completely but sometimes they are useful if I miss something, and two or three would be acceptable.
  19. Thanks, that's a good point but I think it might be the opposite....I'm calling them too late. With this mission I normally have labels on and try to kill as many enemy units as possble (I know its not very realistic but its good fun). This means by the time I call the second pair of A-10C's there's proberbly not a lot left. Although more enemy units do keep popping up, by that time I've run out of ammo, thats when I normally call in the holding A-10C's.
  20. Yes, that was to call them off station, which they acknowledged, then they did nothing and RTB'd. Thats about the time a manpad gets me
  21. I know this is in the wrong forum section, I have posted it in the Tech Support - Missions and Campaigns section for a few days with no reply's. I could do with some advice from anyone who has experience with this mission, basic question is as follows:- How do I get the second pair of A-10C's (Bore 2-1) to do anything. I have selected the frequency 124.0 VHF AM and called them off station, they answer "Leaving station" but then just seem to RTB.
  22. How do I get the second pair of A-10C's (Bore 2-1) to do anything. I have selected the frequency 124.0 VHF AM and called them off station, they answer but then just seem to fly home. When does this mission end ?? I keep killing AAA, Armour and Infantry, but the more I kill the more appear - eventually I get taken down by a Manpad.
  23. Thanks Stretch, thats cleared that up  Maybe ED could add this to the manual in a future update :smilewink:
  24. Never used AWACS before until I tried the CSAR mission last night. I have read from the manual what the "353 for 60, 2000" means, but then he says Flanking or Hot - what does this mean I can't find it in the manual. Also at what stage would I call in any available CAP, once again there doesn't appear to be any Tactics section in the manual :book:
  25. Hi Cibit Thanks for your continued help. No, I didn't touch the RTB command I thought I had to add this if I wanted it, I'll take a closer look. That would be very useful - thankyou :)
