Hello you all fabulous people! I had a laugh. On Saturday evening. Tomorrow going to Bournemouth. Had one evening lads. After last Update my hands looks like on video. Could someone kindly tell me please Is there any chance to fix it without need to wait until next update? Before you could choose like from 10 versions. Now you have 2 last and years old without additional VR settings for controllers.

I wish for it mate. Controlling TF51 is amazing with touch controllers. Every now and then I love to hop in TF just only for that. I still use my hardware pedals, but stick movements is so nice and makes a control of plane feel like real. When we had Christmas free planes - not having this feature was a deal breaker for me, and I didn't bought Spitfire because of that. I still use HOTAS on modernish planes and AKULA, but WW2 planes is "must have" touch controls me think with some adjustments to use weapons and radio. Hope they will put more time on this type of controls, as VTOL VR sales is quite high and I think ED can rise up some extra cash just implementing and advertising this as feature to VR community.

Bless you mate! That worked! also found some files to make a standard head position in "Saved Games" folder! Thank you!
-
Sorry for poor audio. They made a fix for "save head position". Now I need every time manually move my head to front to match my seat with virtual seat and re=center. But Default position of "Virtual Pilot" is wrong. I have Oculus CV1.
-
I told it once I will repeat it again. I'm not on this threds popular side but I tried body on other modules and it was even more weird: I had body that was holding stick and throttle and I had my touch controlled hands. I bet that would take a huge amount of work to make body that will exploit ability of newer VR sets with full body motion tracking. And if you do not use full motion tracking you will see that weird movement of your arms you have in VR games. If you use something like mouse or other ways to click your cockpit stuff - that will even more make that weird when your hand stay on stick, but your switches and buttons moves. My opinion having no virtual body makes it more immersive than having alien body that moves in strange ways. But for flat screen simers it can add some immersion me think.
-
Default centered position makes it to close to front panel and quite difficult to operate some stuff and also now my Akulas stick and sit matches my real sit and stick(adds more immersion to my VR flight) It looks like not hard thing to fix mirror position. It's quite immersion killer to see insides of choper. Mirrors can be used more than just cheking your six: my dummy wingmans sometimes crashes into ridges if I fly to close to edge of the hill/mountain and ABRIS do not make that 3D situational awareness to help me out, also I do check my flare dispensers as it's much easier to make a glance up than to lean upfront and look back aspecially moments me using dispensers is when I have no time for that, also they(mirrors) useful to check engine and hull integrity if fire acours or if been shot at.
-
Hello guys! I have an microproblem. My mirrors looks half way inside helicopter. As I fly in vr I moved my pilot at maximum back as it feels nice to see seat as same as feel it, but because of that my mirrors looks abit down, I still can use 'em but I need to lean almost over the stick to get my wingmans in view. Is there something I can do with that? Or is there some sort of settings to adjust them? As vr arrived in our lifes - mirrors became quite essential, at least for me. Thank you in advance for any information given!

Windows defender found a Trojan virus in AV8B module in last openbeta update: Can someone explain me that? Is it a new age of Russian spying for my own money?
-
Shadow of floating hands will do and sometimes needed. But I do not think that pilots body will be an selling point, just thing that some people may use.
-
Yeah, I'll tell you more thought, me play only in VR. Can not stand 2d flights anymore. :) I tried one of the pilots on other module and wasn't impressed. Floating hands is my choice.
-
And when your left hand grabs upsidedown throttle - you move flight stick aswel with left hand. Spent 30s after update in module before exiting it. Like stable version of MiG21 but modules like Ka50 is better on openbeta. Updates usually comes no often than every week - what means MiG21 module not flyeble for as minimum as next 7 days. Did ED force Magnitude 3 LLC to implement VR throttle and stick controls? I hope they going to bring miniupdate tomorrow or today to fix that s.....
-
I'm not on popular side, but me so like to see only floating hands without body. Having empty seat is more than enough.

You can adjust brightness for you NV googles. Flir have two modes and In public beta it's usable and comfortable for me in VR. On my point of view AV8 B is weapon platform not a plane, you need NVg to bring that platform to a range of weapons to be released - after, you will have your sensors for awareness and completion of your task, no nvg needs to be used.
-
All point in DCS manuals is to read them. Manuals are in your DCS folder. There is all main things to do. Spent some time on a toilet reading it from your mobile = profit will know why breaks not working from time to time and there is a switch that turns on super-duper abs system, that works better than parachute, and many many more info.

Very interesting and mainly fresh opinion. what do you think about that "new" Quake 2 game?
-
You can read forum for same question. It will be one time. But there is no "VR bodies" here. Just a body with HOTAS. As I know, or at least on that time when me tried "bodies" in other modules, you will have body that will hold hotas + 2 actual hands that will be your sensor hands - looks stoopid when you put touch controllers on table and have 4 hands. My opinion body is no need in VR, you will still need your stick, throttle and pedals and you need to be a geek to adjust them to same place and with Oculus Touch you will need to think where to put your "hands" when you holding real stick. If fuel tank jettison button will be somewhere else I likely to turn off stick aswel. This is simulator of MiG21 - not a simolator of MiG21 pilot and it does it's job well!!! And defenetly bodiy is less needed than a proper blody cockpit model that have no holes in it and have more than just wings without plane body when you look outside of the cabin. Wait till 75% discount this module is worth 11£ no more on this state for VR experience. Still worth 40 quid for monitor flyin but compaign makes no sense and shows no knowledge about how you should effectively use your MiG21.

Crash comes after selecting pipper and KH64 rockets or unguided rockets. Here is a video that shows how to recreate that crash. Without pipper you can choose any weapon, but with pipper as soon as you choose rocket section - crash! Version: Public Beta date: 22.04.2020

Sorry for annoying question but I just didn't get it: will it be 1 body and 4 hands(1on throttle,1 on stick, 2 actual VR controlled)?

[REPORTED]Deployment campaign needs a polish up
Skopikus replied to martinistripes's topic in Bugs and Problems
He's saying to you by radio, that you need to go as low as possible, coz bastards have manpads now, and flying extremely low gives them less time to aim at you. As I know in Chechen war they been flying very strange paths, as, sadly as it sounds, real pilots could not replay mission after failing it, and they do everything to stay alive. -

Mission "Near Gundelen" me think it's 12th or 13th mission. First time was doing it troops started to attack as it shall be, but after failing it for first time ground troops do not move anymore, also 2x Mi24 disembark some SF but this SF just staying in a field. Can not continue compaign. Also in two three missions before had a problem to finish, as enemy single soldier was INSIDE the building, needed to activate cheats (markers I mean) to find what's going on. Question: can you skip mission in compaign? -
Didn't tried in new cockpit, because "mirrors off" gives you an increase in FPS, thing you want playing in VR. But old cockpit mirrors gives an 2d image of nothing, sime black panels behind your back.
-
Maybe you pressing brakes in air? It was my case when I forgot to "invert" brake control in settings and my brakes was always on.
-
Already downloading beta version again. Thank you guys! Ur da best!
-
Rolled back to stable version, only because of this "reflections". In VR they look stupid, when you move your head and they stay - looks so cheap. All knobs and switches look cool though.

On world war 2 scenarios - it may be a good idea, navigation that time was mostly visual so turning off lights was critical tactic to protect lives and/or production from bombs. This days fella with NVG will have better vision on town streets without light and having modern, accurate satnav gives no need to see ground what so ever. Only towns with direct combat in them shall be affected, and not even whole towns, only districts. Idea with power plants is awesome! But without a dissent ground force modulation, makes it more artistic than actually needed. In my opinion - it looks much better with lights, will be cool to see less lights in buildings 1am to 5am, coz most of the people sleeping that time, but still look great in VR.
