A search for "assessing threats" did not return any results, so I'm wondering what a good approach for assessing threats is before entering an area. I understand the point of staying outside the immediate combat zone and using TGP to find and mark targets, but I'm really having a hard time finding anything. Any good tip or link to other post that talk about the best way to assess threats prior to entering the engagement zone?

disregard - user error after searching around i see i was using wrong version of installer. would be great to have a sticky at the top of the forum so we know what the current versions are and what we need to install.

Due to some other issue had to reinstall DCS A10C and world today. Now the training missions have no voice. Showing DCS world version 1.2.0.3 and A10C 1.2.0 The only fix I can find point to this url which is no good http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.ph...ight=audio+fix Anyone know what's going on?

3 monitors in 3072x768 surround. 4th monitor setup just to the right so total resolution was 4096. Although I was setting it in the .lua it was user error on my part, that I was not setting the resolution in game to 4096x768. I assumed that's what the .lua did, but as I find out now the .lua just tells where to place the various components on the screen. The resolution (in game menu) actually controls how many monitors are used. I've got it working now but one other question for you guys. - Can you move just more than the left and right mfd's to the 4th monitor too?

Running 3 28" monitors in surround with a 4th monitor for just the left and right MFD? I can't seem to find any post with a lua file describing how to set this up, if I change my lua file to 4096x768 which would be the width of all 4 monitors and height, nothing ever displays on the 4th monitor. Have been unable to find any answer after spending over a day searching, any help appreciated. :thumbup: Rep to you, tried a linux browser on my laptop and it worked. :thumbup: In the past had no issue with IE8 , 9. Even flushdns cache but no go.

I quit : go to the website to get my serial number and although I can login, can't use the payments button cause it just takes you back to the main page and appears to log you out. Can't retrieve serial number due to website issues ??? anyone else on that can confirm if it's the site or just me? When I click forgot password, even though I'm logged in it says you are registered and successfully logged in back to home page.

well now don't I feel stupid ...... Was waiting on a response before installing my current version so I did not have to uninstall and reinstall a new version. Could wait no longer for my dc a10c fix so installed the version I have ...... to my surprise I was prompted to auto-update my product. Hurray for auto patching!!! Edit - Doh can't install current DCS a10c version to new DCS world version.... For anyone who references this post looking for the same answer make sure you don't apply the dcs world patch before installing the a10c module. It's been a while since my last install and I think I had this same issue last time around too. Nothing to see here just user error.

Coming back to DCS a10c and my current installed version is 1.2.2.7122_19. I noticed both DCS world and DCS a10c have new versions. Please tell me there is an easier way instead of having to download all those files again? For those with high speed internet that's not an issue I know, I'm not one of you :cry:

Just installed DCS world and now when I try to install DCS a10C getting error can't install a-10c 1.2.2.7122 into a newer DCS world 1.2.2.7204. Where do I get the install file for a10c please?

Can't find any info on how we order this/preorder? Is a Beta available somewhere for preorders? Thanks

Hey, Thanks Swaty. I always thought the GPU's had to match up and I was not about to drop that much on another gtx 590. I've still got one slot free so yeah something like a 7900 series card may do if the mini port does not work. Power supply is 1000watt so I think I still have room to add. Thanks again

I admit I don't the know much about this yet but I did finally find the answer on the EVGA forums. The GTX 590 does support 4 monitors in surround 2d but not 3d. The 4th monitor uses a mini display port on the card, which sure enough after looking there it is. Never realized what it was before. I searched and search for hours tonight but could not find this until just now.

Well Peter thanks for taking the time to post an answer, now can you actually provide one that might be helpfull? If I knew the answer I would not have posted the question.

OK I'm using a GTX 590 and 3 28" displays. I understand the concept of the Nvidia surround option but how do I get a 4th display working? The GTX 590 has 3 DVI inputs only. A splitter perhaps?

So I read a post in the videos form thread confused me. With Combined ARMS can I not fly the DCS A10C in singleplayer and conduct the ground war from the air using my AI units?

Disappointed not to see a pre-order button today.

Got home and my wife hid the computer on me. She seems to believe tomorrow is the big day, had to leave and go to the library just to post this. I can only stay here until 8:30, comon pre-order.

I would not turn down a discount but also don't expect one. This is quality software from a company who has a passion for their customers and products. Based on the current state of computer software today, I'd say that's like finding a diamond in the rough and money can't buy that elsewhere. I'm content that my money is well spent on this product. Does this change with time and all these upgrades coming? Shall see.
