So what it's doing is when I touch the touchscreen the mouse pointer disappears from the surround. That's making DCS close. I tried looking for a setting to stop this but not sure of which one if any to change. It may just be how it works, looking for others with a similar setup to confirm. Thanks

What a simple and effective suggestion :) Actually it resolved most of the issue. While in the game it no longer closes DCS but when in the menu or mission planner touching monitor 4 still closes DCS (when I say closes I mean minimizes). Any recommendation to make it work while in the DCS menus and not the game itself? Thanks

So with the help of some nice people on this board I got my touchscreen working the other week. I'm running 3 monitors in NVidia surround and the 4th monitor is an extended desktop touchscreen. The question I have is say I have the manual open on the 4th monitor and the game running in surround on the other three, whenever I touch the manual to change pages it closed the window with on the surround monitor and I have to use the taskbar to get back to DCS. Is there a way to setup the 4th monitor (touchscreen) so that it won't impact the game running on the 3 surround monitors? Thanks Windows 7 64 bit, 2 gtx 670 in SLI.

Wow guys I finally got it working, what a PITA. Thanks to all the help and suggestions. For whatever reason there was an order I had to plug the cables in. First power cable, then the usb, then the display port. Prior I had the display port already plugged in and then plugged in the usb. When using this order the touch function now works. Go figure.

I did yes, even uninstalled the device and drive, plugged it back in did not automatically install a driver but when scanning for hardware changes in device manager it adds the monitor and the installs the driver. in Control Panel / System it still shows no pen and touch available for monitor.

I appreciate you looking and helping me, I've managed to get to step 5 tonight. I see the tablet pc settings box now (see couple post above I added it using a shortcut, never showed up in control panel or programs). The touch display is even listed in the table pc setting but all of the options are greyed out, it's like windows does not recognize the monitor as a touchscreen. Posted a screenshot above too.

I did make a little progress, found a post that said create a shortcut on the desktop called to %windir%\explorer.exe shell:::{80F3F1D5-FECA-45F3-BC32-752C152E456E} When I did this it opens tablet pc settings. The touchscreen is displaying but the calibrate, reset, configure are all greyed out like it does not recognize it. At least that's some progress.

Need to know that's the same setup I got except im using an Obutto Revolution chair. I've even got the mfd panels and am running Helios like you. I just want the touch portion of the screen to work so I can enter numbers on the cdu. I don't have Tablet PC Settings in the control panel or programs. In fact system says there is no pen or touch monitor enabled.

Thanks that's the cable I started with when plugging in to the monitor then the PC no touchscreen. It simple enough even a dummy can do it but I can't for some reason! I think the connections are right I just don't have something enabled in Windows.

When I start tablet pc input panel using your alternate method all that comes up is a box that looks like it's for handwriting. However no one sells a usb cable they are all usb to micro or some other type there is no usb to usb. I went to walmart, staples, and best buy. I have a usb transfer cable at home that when I plug in to the monitor and to the hub it bring up a usb transfer window but touch still does not work. The manual for this monitor l2206tm states the usb connector used looks like a firewire on one end and regular usb on the other. Yes I'm sure my cables are good.

Hi thanks I've tried three different monitors and none of them work. These came form a relatives house where they were working. I just connected the usb directly to the computer instead of the hub but no change windows still says no pen or touch input available for display. Obviously, it's user error but I don't know what. I've got the upstream usb cable from the monitor to a usb in the computer. Also a display port from the monitor to the video card. taking the display port cable out gives me no picture. I'll keep playing any other ideas form anyone please chime in.

This is an HP Compaq L2006tm Hi guys I have it plugged in currently using a display port cable and also a usb cable from the upstream monitor usb connector to my usb hub. I don't have tablet PC settings in my control panel but it's showing to be an installed feature. I'm running windows 7 pro 64bit and in system it says no pen touch monitor installed. The monitor works just not the touch. Under all programs I have tablet pc input panel, but that looks like some kind of handwriting tool and I don't see anything to change settings there.

Any ideas guys. I've been trying for two weeks to make this work and I simply can't. I've got two GTX 670's in SLI running surround on three monitors ... that works fine. Added a 4th monitor (HP L2206tm touchscreen) tried display port, usb, and DVI connection and no matter what I do can't get the touchscreen to work. The Monitor works but not touch. Running Window 7 Pro 64bit and I don't have tablet PC in control panel, system screen shows no touch or pen monitor installed. I simply don't know what else to try or do to get the touchscreen working, I know many here are using a setup like this so wondering how you connected it and what you did to make it work? I read in other post that using agm65d or H ranges should be much better than that of the OS-8 OSA. I'm not finding this to be the case and not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I can't lock up the OSA until I'm well within it's range and it's already fired at me. Is there a profile setting or something to increase maverick seeker range? My only option up to this point has been to let it fire, evade, then re-engage until within range.

Skatezilla ... OK now I understand binding I tried that with the Huey I bought of steam and it's now letting me install to stand alone DCS, now it makes sense. Does that impact my ability to use it through steam though?

I don't fully understand your answer but thank you for it. My user account name has not changed so I don't understand why I would bind to another user. I got the above issue fixed by clicking on the refresh button once in the module manager it then has all the available modules to install on the available modules tab except the Huey since I bought it through steam I guess I won't be able to use it anymore with standalone dcs world? Other than the huey appears all is good now. So if you end up with a blank page press the refresh button :doh:

I was excited about FC3 but after spending all day having to re-download a non-steam version and trying to get this installed I'm ready to call it quits. I hope someone can help. So I installed a non-steam version of DCS world and installed all my addons including FC3, it runs fine at the 1.2.6xxx version. Can't get the 1.2.7 to work right, it installs and when starting dcs world it's version 1.2.7 but I have no addons, if I try to install them in to the dcs world openbeta directory it tells me it must be version 1.2.6. I started with 1.2.6 and all the addons and it worked, when installing 1.2.7 it makes me install to a new directory. How do you install 1.2.7 and get all your addons / additional modules to work? Thanks edit and if I go in to module manager in 1.2.7 only ai ww2 and frogfoot are installed. on the 2nd tab labeled available addons it's just blank but I own the heuy, mi-8, a-10c, and fc3 now.

80% off uh-1h huey On steam 80% Huey, 70% of as someone else already stated on warthog and mustang, even at these prices I'm still not a buyer though, was tempting but no. Until additional maps are offered I've given up on this series, been a while and just came back to see what was new. 3rd party developers are losing sales from people like me that simply won't come back until new content in the way of terrain/maps are released.

My point of view Until someone start focusing on campaign areas and updated maps, I don't think I'll be buying any add ons. New engagement areas are long over due, the fact you only mention Nevada in the video is disappointing, all these great future looking aircraft on the same boring map ... sorry but no thanks. I'd recommend someone focus on maps, otherwise you the 3rd party people will be missing out on sales.

DCS needs a new map in a bad way I'm content to fly DCS a10-c on the current engagement area, but simply can't adjust to any of the other aircraft on this map. At least for me any success of add'ons will be dependent upon new areas to fly. I think this should be a priority for DCS or 3rd parties in development, the entire simulation is evolving but we have no new engagement areas. Release an aircraft with a new engagement area and I'll be happy to pay $50.00. I don't care who does it DCS or a 3rd party, but someone needs to. Yes I know there is some work in progress but it should be a priority if you ask me, and no need to tell me you did not ask ... I already know :)

Thanks, I can't understand half of it not sure if it's the dialect or the voice inflection, but there's a lot of swearing in the video. I appreciate videos that are more professional personally.
