Then after a bunch of answers and some fun ones (because we have a sense of humor here) you then become specific with a image of a F-14........so is it the F-14 or all military jets ?? Here are some general answers rounded up to make it easier for you to read: Fast jets to my knowledge do not have de-mist/frost cords they have heat blowers. Fast jets do have det cords to shatter the plexi-glass canopy.Then on to your attitude in return for the time people have taken out of their lives to help you with your quest for information. You wonder why people "mock" your question when its as open ended as a episode of Lost? After 5 pages of answers i would have made a conclusion that unless your asking about a specific canopy you not going to get a specific answer! I find it quite shocking that you hold a moderators position over at lockonfiles.com with this sort of attitude, glad i dont post their.

Yeah Black hawk if you want an accurate answer then state which aircraft your actually talking about. The F-14 ejects the whole canopy others have det cord in all shapes and sizes and as these other replies show there are other methods of getting the hell outta Dodge when it all goes wrong. :D

Its definatly the det-cord for shattering the canopy prior to ejection.

Hay Deadman the 44th have a Teamspeak server you can use (im asuming your the same 44th Lt.Deadman?) when ever you need. I got 100mb of A-10A/C photos so gimmi a shout on MSN if ya need any, im also 40/50% into a HIGH detail 2048 template for the A-10A with just about every rivet included lol. If this new model is going to use the same skin layout as the normal lockon A-10 then i will resume my work on this template.

None of these threads are serious, most posted for fun to keep the mod's busy :) K-Man is posting to be funny and from what ive seen mostly "fanboys" who take it too seriously take offence and the thread is deleted or locked. Yeah i say fanboy but maybe i dont understand the meaning of the word? Kenan is a good friend of mine and it hurts me to see my friend have his funny threads deleted just because some members take offence and turn them in to flame wars.
