Guys.....:helpsmilie: 1. Is it a way to setup track IR for a good stable closeup view of sidepanels? 2. Can you duplicate CDU functions on MFD and up front keyboard? 3. No need to use the radio panel -All you need is shortcut functions? 4. Is there a 2D mod of those panels? ....and...just WOW!:worthy: Who needs more aircraft to learn? I will be occupied with A10 rest of my life. :thumbup:

I have mine at 2 - but it is not the problem. It is the background picture that slides. I will try the ground stab. Guess it will help. :joystick:

After setting the SPI with the TGP/TAD display (wedding cake stuff) I switch to Maverick display for a lock. First the display is rock steady, but may be I need to slew slightly - then the whole picture start to slide fast. There is pure luck if I can catch up target with the slewing- It takes a lot of passes in the Sitting Duck scenario to just get rid off Shilka. I have tried to fix HUD heading symbol on the SPI and then engage AP, but it takes time and not very useful. BTW: the AC rolls slightly to right with AP engaged, but I doubt this is the main issue. I really envy those guys (seen on youtube) who can slew the Maverick in a rock steady picture to a target and may lock and fire several times in a single pass... :joystick:

I did run the Win 7 Advisor first. Only one game was not compatible. A great tool to use prior to install :thumbup:

OK!! Probably not patient -or wrong scroll in default window (reboot installation). Works fine. Time to reinstall A10...

I have followed the microsoft upgrade Vista32 to W7 64 (12pages)all the way with green lights.. Except for the final .exe According to the instruction there should been a window with two alternatives first. But my upgrade DVD starts with only one .exe Hitting this .exe -there is a warning for not 32 compatibility. And you must run it as a reboot installation disc. I have tried this, but no cigar. No doubt I have to upgrade. Need some info: 1. According to Asus manual there is not that many clicks to set the PC for 64bits. Right? 2. Upgrade from 32bits to win7 64 is not that easy. I will lose files. 3. I have most games on partition F. Will those be saved as is? 4. Some programs are stored on C. Such as Uniblue Registry booster. Can I save the program on HD or DVD. Or must I store the download and key -and re-install? 5. emails? Will I lose the browser with my emails? How and what to save? Thanks A10 :joystick: !!!!!!!

Thumbs up: :thumbup: Never been so excited since Jane`s F-15 Awesome graphics. Incredible detailed aircraft. High res 16:9 with no more coin sized pixel when zoomed in. Runs great with no stutter in general. Enough stuff to keep you occupied (learn and hone your skills) for months and probably keep you learning until gold release. Jawdropping complex - but still seems to be simulated in detail. Great flight sim as it is -just flying around and making holes in the sky. Perfect dynamics. Just try to taxi off tarmac into the dirt with nosewheel and up again. Watch tire struggle and skidding to get back. Great forum with instant help when you cry for :helpsmilie: Frustration: :cry: None of the Shooting Gallery, target practice missions load. Have to practice bombing buildings in a free fly scenario - or jump into the battle heat. Some important training missions does not load. Training missions with bugs. Missing training mission gives holes in knowledge and leads to frustration that exceeds pleasure of learning in some areas. Some places with heavy stutter. ...................... Final: To enjoy this A10 beta in all its glory, with all its systems go - you must have more than average knowledge of aircraft/weapon/avionics. If you gave up Black Shark or find Lock On or M$ flightsim difficult, this beta is not for you, wait for final edition with all the training running. If you think you can jump in to page 500 and read Combat Preparation :book:a long weekend and then takeoff for some casual bomb drop - you will certainly have a nasty surprise. They will be stuck on the rails.:joystick: Final conclusion: Is beta3 worth $60? YES! Love the :smartass: and :pilotfly: and :joystick: and :book: and :doh:

I did also missed ILS/PAPI - but discovered that the HUD attitude cue marker is an excellent tool for approach. Keep it steady at threshold with throttle - no :joystick: and a kisser is 100% -
Anyone know why A10 is designed with wing dihedral? A bit annoying with roll effect when kicking some rudder (yaw). Great sim!!! :pilotfly:

:helpsmilie: The answer is probably in the Training Pod lesson -but this lesson crashes on my PC. I have read :book: both manuals with no luck.:cry: After TO -the Target Designation works fine. Slew/Area/Point. Then it is stuck in geographic point INR. Tried to slew pointer in front of aircraft in map mode - but it is still stuck. My guess was to hit "C" to reset, but no dice.:( Q: How to reset Targeting Pod to slew and be able to use Area/Point modes again after it is stuck in INR?

:joystick: My old worn out stick Wingman (even old back in Jane`s Apache days) was finally killed this weekend. -And replaced by Logitech 3D PRO. Flying with the new :joystick: was just like guiding a drunken rocking horse with ADHD. :pilotfly: (And yes - I have AP on) Experimenting with settings I finally found a great setup for a NOOB like me. Deadband at 14 Slight curvature Y saturation at 50. Now the ship is rock steady. Maybe not enough authority for the most crazy aerobatics. But I will decrease Y saturation until it feel unstable and increase slightly.

Unable to activate "Ground Move Target" and "Turn to Target"

:helpsmilie: Hi guys :helpsmilie: Which button am I missing? No green bar in Ground Move Target or Turn to Target buttons. (Does not activate) I am able fire all 3 types of weapons. Laser designator OK Laser range OK Target Lock OK "C" coming up. I cannot see or experience any other systems not working properly. It works fine in Training - Combat lesson. Problem in mission "shooting Range"

Thanks! You are right. There is something I missed with the "real" and "game" in Control menu and the preset modes in Gameplay menu. I hit the preset "simulation" button and then ticked off the "Use these settings in all missions" box and assumed that everything was simulated in all flights. I am really confused of settings and mix of saving here. Seems I have to drop the Ops Manual and pick up the GUI manual. Thanks for spending a friday night with a NOOB!

I am not sure*. I just dived into the sim (and stayed there sleepless). But I noticed that a crash in Mission will kill you and in Training you just bunch off the dirt and keep flying. * (If you mean the silly arcade Atari style I am certainly not)

:helpsmilie:Hi guys.... :helpsmilie: Just finished Training flights - and started with Missions. And the chopper does not trim! Going back to Training and the trim works fine. Quit and start a mission and the trim is dead. Double check with picking a training once more and - yes - it is confirmed - it works fine. Any solution to make the trim work in mission?

AP on - FD off. Thinking of it - I am probably wrong with the "firmly" on the ground. With a cantilevel nosewheel free moving maybe there is not enough lateral support as I supposed. Even when moving forward a few meters there could still be a yaw force alive and kicking during next immidiate takeoff

Hi JG14 Tnx - but could you please reread my post? My point is that aerodynamic/torque forces generated during flight should be cancelled immidiately when the Black Shark is on ground. Of course new forces will be generated during the next takeoff. IMHO the new forces are added to the "old one"

First a HUGE thanks for the best sim - ever. A minor bug: The yaw force is still "in the heli" after landing. Example: You turn 180 deg rather quickly - counteract with opposite rudder (normal) and land. Now the yaw should be cancelled with the wheels firmly on the ground. But - If you takeoff again you must still add some rudder (as you did prior to touchdown) before the yaw force fades away.

First - BS is running just fine! (Except a few pilot errors :joystick:) After payment I just copied the key and pasted later in after install. I was sure that the key was send to me by email as a backup - but certainly not. I have just the email with receipt and its order no. Again - BS is up and running, I just want to save the key for eventually future use. :thumbup:
