Thanks! Still happy - fingers crossed. chtulhu68 IMO that stuff is handled by graphic card. Upgrade card will help. I am also flying on P3Dv2. This have the old M$ design with most graphics is handled in the old fashioned way through processor.

Sorry - BIGNEWY. Have to disagree that DCS has elvolved. No doubt A10 is the benchmark. 95% systems simulated. Physic damage model. If a panel was lost, you can feel it. Now an aileron can be lost without problem. And jaw dropping fact: This could run on 2 gb ram. Today you need 8 gb to fly a simple Mustang. Those guys back then was wizards.

Sorry I missed the new specs. Copy from my first A10C manual - As you can see my PC was at top end. Never checked it again. Minimum system requirements: Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7; CPU P4 3GHz, RAM 2 GB; Video 512MB RAM, compatible with DirectX9; 9GB of HDD space; sound card; DVD ROM; keyboard; mouse. Recommended system requirements: Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7; CPU Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD X2 3GHz, RAM 4 GB; Video Card with 1024 MB RAM (ATI Radeon HD4870+ or nVidia GTX260+), compatible with DirectX9; 9GB of HDD space; sound card; DVD ROM; keyboard; mouse, joystick.

Meant as a tip to other players with similar problem (with good specs)

FIX: (Thanks to a different thread) Rename openalpha folder (saved games) Start sim. Exit sim. Move input folder to the new created openalpha folder. (your saved inputs. Then I restarted PC. Some ordinary tweaks in graphic menu. Now N44 is running fine again. Guess this is just temporary - must repeat this procedure in the future when N44 going bad again.

Low ram is just a part of the problem. Been running on this rig A10 and Black Shark for hundreds of hours. A load of stuff running in the background - such as Maverick camera to mention one. Not single stop or stutter. Nevada is OK with the large airport - must have some impact on graphics? Normandy44 was OK for a period (Low memory 30 minutes on multiplayer) Ran fine with created mission of 30 tanks moving and cold start TO. Rockets fired with no stutter. Then one night - Bang! N44 crash. No doubt N44 needs troubleshooting and debugging.
-
BTW. Always imagined PC uses SSD HD as ram?
-
It did run fine until yesterday. Something happened suddenly. I can throw in more ram

Atached :clap_2: Logs.zip

Last night: For no apparent reason N44 - crashed. Takes extremely long time to load. Instant stutters last 10 seconds, getting worse and freeze. Ctr/alt/del to get out, or low memory warning. Have manually removed my miz mission files. Did not help. Nevada runs OK -have not tested before (no compare). Seems OK with just a slight stutter. But long load. World 1.5 runs fine! :helpsmilie:

It is impossible. Even in my close area (Beach in Norway) there are many bunkers left. Cannot imagine how to remove them

Dambusters takes a brand new flightsim. Multicrew Lancaster. Lights for correct altitude. Device for calculating range to dam. Ruhr map does not exist. Nightfighters. Flak with searchlights. In short: forget it. More than enough to dig in DCS already. :)
-
Bunker 1 should be fine. Or a cluster of them, mixed with Bunker 2.
-
Craters on top. Been there myself. Very impressive. Naval guns are placed in the steep hill under it. Very difficult to see. Sorry if I missed WN`s. Low pass several times in the area. (Maybe smaller than I imagine). And studied the Mission Editor map
-
Disappointed ED has removed important landmarks. Anyway -Try this: WN72 (Wiederstandnest) is a large bunker. Place it at Omaha beach (Green Dog sector). You may place some barracks behind it too. Set time to spring 1944. Load your P-51 with bombs/rockets. Start in North Sea (or England if you have time). ....................... Naval guns at Le Havre. Way too large for P-51. But you may try to bomb support units. Place barracks and other structures that make sense at the Le Havre coast. Flight setup as WN72. :joystick:
-
THANKS! Explains all... Edit: Very disappointing. Even today important structures such as WN72 are intact. Why did ED removed it?
-
I am sure I saw a Marauder in a video. Cannot find any such aircraft in mission builder. B-17 does not fit in low altitude attacks. Of course you may throw in P-51 with bomb load, but nice with some variation. Would be nice to hot scramble Dora to intercept low altitude bombers winter/spring 44.

Anyone? Nobody tried to make D-day landing area look authentic in mars - april - may? Several post D-Day airfields does not fit in. :imho:
-
Toying around with mission editor a couple of hours. If you want to built Atlantic Wall (Le Havre example) , you have to throw in structures from menu as coastal batteries? Guess it is impossible to remove or camouflage airfields near coast? Want to start from UK and do some ground attack prior to D-Day. :pilotfly::joystick:

Flying around in the around in this wonderful map. Watching replays with F3! Time to move on Like to add some supply convoys. A couple of B-26. In short: Some targets. Also mentioned in a video - you my add Atlantic Wall stuff. Please give me a hint in which forum to find extreme basic use of mission editor or mission builder (What is best for a noob?) - or youtube link? Thanks in advance!

Have a feeling that it occurs only (or most) in multiplayer.
-
Never occurred since the ol days of M$ flightsim. And I am running hefty stuff P3Dv2 with a ton of addons. Solution?
-
IT WORKS!!! HAPPY NOW!!!
-
Same issue. Restart PC, and now it loads faster and faster each time.

razo+r I did work tenth time. Downloading now. Still pessimistic. Always next hill to climb in this adventure. After hours you think you got it - but no cigar
