  1. Do you know if there will be any further official texture sets for the Viggen - I know there were not many, but would like to see some variety of weathering etc. Also hope the numbers on the gear doors might be revisited. Its my favourite module by far.
  2. I don't usually complain, but I spent about many hours trying to fix this, I rolled back updates to windows and firmware, even restored windows to an earlier time thinking there was a driver issue which ended up breaking other non-MS software, just to try and fix this issue which you guys seemed to already know about but not communicate to the community. You have everyones emails, why not send out an email saying that there is an issue with a Meta update and DCS so people like me don't waste countless hours thinking the issue is individually ours to fix. If Oculus compatibility is not part of the testing process, since you don't mind it being broken during this period, why not issue a hotfix?
  3. Stick another waypoint at a distance where it's safe to come down, then memorise that waypoint number.
  4. Agreed! The main draw for Multiplayer is the unpredictability of your opponent, but since there's not many red force high fidelity jets, its all not quite so realistic as it might otherwise have been.
  5. Yes but if you play particular multiplayer servers, you can't join unless you use the up-to-date version of open beta. Main reason I posted is that there have been a couple of updates since this bug appeared and nothing has changed on the Viggen. I agree, after 6 years, it really should get some priority and be finished within the realms of the current game version. Clearly ED making changes can break things, but to be in 'early access' since 2017, without any end in sight - its a bit frustrating - what else is in the pipeline for this module, I read about new sounds, new effects, new textures - I've lost track of wether these have been implemented. As far as I am aware, not implemented. At least two updates since this bug appeared - I've been patient, it's been out 6 years and is still in early access and things are mentioned, but never delivered - new sounds, new textures - but never much in the way of progress any more. It feels like the ugly child, unloved and uncared for , while the new baby (F-14) gets all the toys, and the new pregnancy (F-4) gets all the attention.
  6. I guess you guys know the Viggens gear wheels are submerged underground still?
  7. Forget about Aurora, it's so hit and miss anyway, I'd rather see Kallax/Lulea for the F21 Viggen action. Seems a bit odd not to include that base in early access given it's strong association with the Viggen and the F21 paint schemes already sported by the Viggen in DCS. Not to mention it's proximity to the Gulf of Bothnia - literally on the coast, ideal for anti shipping. Glad it will get added at some point hopefully.
  8. Great to see new screenshots, and having been to Norway recently I can atest to the weather in that region, but to show off the detail of the product and help sales, why not show the map in nice weather, rather than sunset, sunrise, night time and rain!!
  9. Be good to see them make a realistic campaign for the Viggen, seeing as it's local to the area.
  10. The pyramid in your screenshot has a little of the fine white limestone that originally covered the pyramids. The limestone blocks you see beneath that area are what remains after centuries of pillaging and pilfering of the materials. This is what it looks like in real life (with the exception of the weird issues being described here with the lower blocks)
  11. Surely thats not the point, if you see something in a release video, you kind of expect it to be in the initial release. As a previous visitor to the pyramids, it was one of the reasons I bought the map - the pyramids in the trailer look very impressive - I assumed reading the post that it was a scenery level of detail issue, but it doesn't appear to be judging by the distances involved. Little bit disappointing! But not the end of the world, unless the rest is that poor too!!
  12. Makes sense, but perhaps if it's possible to check that ED haven't changed the way that works in case some progress could be made since it's a bit frustrating to launch some missiles then get jumped by SU-30s and killed and your missiles get killed too!
  13. Now I don't know if this is a bug for just the Viggen, but if I launch a pair of RB-15s - if I get shot down and die, both missiles get destroyed instantly too - this isn't very realistic, in real life they would carry on to the target - at least thats my understanding of fire and forget. I could swear that I've seen an F-18 drop Harpoons that carried on to their target after the aircraft got shot down. There's a good chance I'm wrong on that, but thought I'd mention it, in case there's anything that can be done.
  14. To me if it is caused by large numbers of Sinai map downloaders, the worst thing is I don't care for the map, but I still can't play. But its hardly life and death, I'm sure ED will fix it to be a bit more resilient in time for the F-15 to release!
