Hmm, FLIR,GPS guided, MLWS, TAD, multiple "Utillity Pod" possibilities, dedicated Air to Air wepaons, the Maverick. Just one thing missing in this mind"blowing" package: The Rotor! Thats one negative point for the A-10c. The most important thing is still how does this Warthog feel when flying? Need to wait to find it out, sadly.

Yes of course :P That´s right I know a bit about the cannon but never flown the A10. I just wanted to hold my expectation low until the A-10 is released. Just a little Jedi Mind trick. I definetely willl give the A-10 an audience. :P

Except me! Theres nothing better than a good helo flight model. I don´t care about fixed wing because theres nothing more challenging than flying a helicopter for me. It´s like Formula 1 versus Rally Championship. Rally Is just 1000 times more exciting. Well at the end I will just love the improvements of the new engine. A10 pfft nothing someone can do with the blackshark. It´s all about having a new toy instead of having a better tool. We will see ;) Sorry for that I just think that most of the guys here just want something new. Instead of train with what they have. You go this phenomenon through many of the aspects live have to offer, DCS is no êxception at this point.

I gues you where just a bit too low but you definetely need to practise that with requirement of good helo controll abillity.

Ok unguided -equal- large are softer targets with exceptions. There was an event wich made me thinking about unguided effectiveness. It was on a Multiplayermap of Dragon Weapon Training. Not sure anymore who he was but he killed 3 tanks in a row with a single unguided rocket salvo. Just awesome and I guess a bit of luck involved. Shows how efficient they could be.

I have ever been an Rotorhead except Sundayflying in my home area with fixed wing (X-Plane). I waited so many years for a CombatHeloSim with BS this dream finally came true. Will stay with the Shark faithfully until MI-24, if ever rel. :) The Heli Flightmodel is simply the best I´ve ever had. That has always been the most important in any Flightsim.

My method is still: Press trim do the turn completely manual once you got your new course and have him stable in the air release trim- there you go hands off ready for searching through shkval :) Just as a example how the AP´s can be used easily to your advantage.

MY experinces showed that the rockets are pretty precise at 2-3 km fired one slave. When you release them on mid or high setting they will affect the position of the chopper too much to be on point. Anyway I can hardly hit something with the rockets directly except I´m circling around a tank :P Practicing is the key like you´ve said. But it should be possible at a distance between 2-3 km I guess.

Well of course it is just a little of "playing with thoughts" in a conspirant(?) way. It´s just a great imagination thinking of a counterpart on the ground something like a Abrams and Vulcan Duo with the possibillitie to command AI Igla Soldiers to a effective position. :) It´s not necessary to simulate them all of course but it´s nice anyway. I will stay with the blackshark no matter comes up in the future :D

Ah yeah forget the DCS Banner but also have a look at the symbol. There are 4 Weapon types showed in a square now thats a good indication I guess :) It would be enough to have some kind of reconnaissance thingy. So we can get our "diamonds" safe in and out of the target area. But I wouldn´t say no to a human controlled tank or ship in MP :D

Mainly by looking at the small graphics like Or the webside header. All Units are imaged equally like you can train with all of them.

Looks like TBS will feature also tanks and Ships "playabale" ? IF we can´t get the whole range thats in this mil product please give us a fac vehicle or maybe an Anti Aircraft Vehicle.

I also tested the function of the FD today and I have to say that push and hold oft the Trimming button, to suspend the APs while in transition, is much easier! Because When you release the AP in the same "workcycle" you got the perfet new heading or sideslip or whatever. Autopilots are such a powerful tool. Works best for me, you can dissasamble my FD button and system If you want to :P TRIMMY TRIMMSEN is the coolest!

Genau meine Frage :) zumidest wüsste ich das gern mal genauer. Ich weiß nur das er funktioniert allerdings nicht zu welchen Bedingungen. Verhindert "gelegentlich" das aufschalten von Zielen ich geh mal von russischen aus.

Theres one major improvement coming with the FC 2.0 DCD version. It will at least possible to buy it without creditcard :) HOORAY!

Ohne vikhr also kaum möglich. ICh trainier momentan mit den ungelenkten raketen schnelle tiefe anflüge dann aufsteigen raketen ins ziel bringen und sofort wieder abdrehen. ISt glaub ich die taktik der MI24 aus nem DDR handbuch. HAt bis jetzt sehr gut funktioniert auch panzer kommen da nich so schnell drauf klar. Mit manpads hab ichs noch nicht getestet. Vielleicht schreib ich ja mal in 2 - jahren n anti SAM Taktikbuch :D N Fac am Boden wär halt ziemlich geil vielleicht kommt das ja irgendwann noch.

But remember that you must learn flying without the AP´s otherwise you can get in trouble.

Hello! At the beginning I also used the hovermode quite often but I found a better working solution for me. Instead of the pretty static hover mode I use a lot trim in hovering positions. For example: 10km - Heli trimmed with about 100km forward speed( searching for targets) Once targets locked an In range I slow down and trim the heli to fly constantly and stable sidewards. Once gaining speed left or ight I engage targets. This method has one main opporunity. You are not standing still, already in motion you can evade any missiles or bullets easier cause you don´t need to gain speed from your postion you just need to turn the chopper directly into the direction you already fly sidewards and accelerate even more. This also works very well in valleys between mountains. I only use hover for ambush like tactics. If you want to use hovermode for advancing to better positions you also can leave it on move to new position slow a bit down and hit trim shortly. Or better mode is to swith hovmode of go to new posittion- slow down and engage again. Thers no need for switching from combat to nav mode for any of those. But I personally like the trim only version more because it keeps you way more flexible in sudden situations. Let´s hear what the others have to say :)

Did you try to start DCS and TrackIR5 without admin rights? Is the blue "GAme recognized" led lit, while inside DCS?

I had the same when I started DCS and track ir with different "security levels" Don´t know what it is in english. The Vista or windows 7 executable security thing. Both run as admin or both on normal level. If that wasn´t the problem I´m sure the text below mine will help you soon :)
