is it normal to have to hold down the tdc depress switch while moving the agm-62 seeker?

just updated, started mission trying out the agm-62, still doesn't work, at least on my module. Plus, radar scan is toast, select 140 degree and radar won't scan past 80. Have tried every way to use agm-62s and pod, still nothing...............

I have the walleye in the list, but it doesn't work so far. Cant get any interaction once select weapon, uncage, and select the corresponding ddi. Cant slew or anything, don't even have the seeker square/direction indicator.

I am a busy DaD, but I work days. I can't get on until later in the evening and weekends. I'm definitely bored with flying by myself, could I be considered?

Double Time Would be nice, if you could edit the controls config file. For instance, the pinky trigger could work as wheel brakes for taxi, but also works as the TGP laser firing command while in flight, or when TGP is in use. Just an example.

Thanks 0303 :thumbup:, I actually downloaded the open beta download tool and just ran it, thinking I would have to do a complete redownload of open beta. But the installer saw my release version and asked if I just wanted to migrate everything over, so that saved me a lot of time and bandwidth!

I'm just pumped, knowing it's only gonna get better!

That's weird, seems like it would be a connectivity problem with your network.

I don't have open beta, I run release. Is there a way I can update my shell to open beta or do i have to do a complete reinstall?

I opened the multiplayer server list yesterday and noticed that a lot of server groups are missing. Can't think of them all but groups like Hoggit, growling sidewinder, etc. , a lot of the heavier used ones.

Thanx for the help Revelation, I went ahead and took off and tried to do it while airborne one more time and it worked that time. I double checked for bypass mode this time and it was definitely in ON position when it worked, so I probably unknowingly kept putting back in bypass. Thanks for the quick replies. :thumbup:

It doesn't get that far, once I select the EW page, that's it, ALE-47 OFF is crossed out. It never changes, I can't select anything else on the screen, except to return to other menus. There is an ASPJ option, ALR-67 option but they do nothing when I select the corresponding OSB.

I wanted to learn how to use the advanced countermeasure and EW page programming. I can't get anything to function. I have followed the manual, I have followed along with tutorial videos. Still when I select the EW page in my display, ALE-47 is crossed out. I have tried with and without master arm on, I have tried in flight and on the deck, I have tried with sensor to ON and BYPASS. Anyone have any suggestions?

I was wondering if there is a way to move DCS to my secondary monitor which is my primary for gaming and video. I have dual monitors, my smaller main on left for all of my Windows general use and the larger better display on the right for gaming and video. I'm running Win10 and have the small left set to primary display. When I launch DCS it opens on the small primary and half of the right monitor. I can't seem to find an option to designate it to the larger secondary monitor only. I have found one other post in the forum about this. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=143908 This post is really old and doesn't really give me an answer. Was hoping someone had a config file tip or gui setting that could help me to do this? thanks

I'm new to DCS, so far I only have the F/A-18c, the fc F-15 and Persian Gulf modules. Was wondering which multiplayer server would be good for weapons hot learning. Say, it's not a kickable offense to shoot down a friendly by accident. SRS or Discord coms between two jets in a dogfight, in order to chat with one another maybe about what you're doing wrong. Radar practice with an actual person, weapons cold or hot, depending on what one anothers practice goal is. I've tried some of the training/practice servers I've found but, I immediately get tagged. With no one to discuss what I did wrong, why I didn't know about the incoming threat, how to work with awacs. I have no reference for learning and improving my fighting skills. I have went through all the tuts and training missions. But it's different when you're in multiplayer, which is what I like about DCS. Anyhow, just wondering, thanks. TURNDOWN

Thank you, mu110. I didn't even know about this tool. This did the trick.

Is there a way to completely wipe all of the config files for the module, and do a complete OEM install of the jet, with all original textures? I did the basic remove reinstall through the module manager but that still leaves a lot of the old config files in place I believe

in sim here is in sim settings also, the fa18 is only module like this also, during gameplay, every other f18 is like this

every skin is like this. attach general graphics global or graphics config for DCS? Also, exactly where is file located?
