Yes, the water-"level" at riverbanks can seem a bit odd, the altitude different between the bank and the river. Currently this is how the water is implemented, I don't think it'll change.

TrackIR 4/5 is NOT compatible with DCS 64bit - run DCS 32bit (x86). And remember to update game profiles in TrackIR And remember to run TrackIR as administrator as well. EDIT: You did run the x86 version of DCS right?

For Windows Vista/7 64bit http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb756962.aspx It should be impossible to get a unsigned driver working in the 64bit editions.

My ISP Has Closed Nearly All Of My Ports
Panzertard replied to 636_Castle's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
If you want to check for something specific - like "why cannot people connect to my FC2 server" or "why cannot I connect to this / that DCS server", I can give you a few good tips to check. ;) -
My ISP Has Closed Nearly All Of My Ports
Panzertard replied to 636_Castle's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
There's nothing wrong. ;) You scanned using internal-ip ranges, which means it's not your ISP. Those IP adresses are not routed through internet. You scanned another PC on your network, and: - It answered on all the relevant ports for a standard PC. - It doesn't have any other services, so it cannot answer on port where there are no services answering. Ex: Wanted to check port TCP 134? It needs to have a service answering on port 134 TCP - if no service have an active listener on 134, nothing will answer. Hence it's 'closed'. Now, if you need to test - you need to check: - Set up your own PC/server - and have relevant services on the ports you want to check. - Scan from "the other side", ex another internet address, ex. from a buddies PC. Now - when you do that, keep in mind - some ISP may actually check for someone doing portscans and block this IP. They may also choose to press charges if you haven't warned all involved parties about the portscan, since it can be illegal to do so. And yet again, your postscan may not be successful at all if the PC you borrow is not set up for this. Or if some router/firewall in between is not configured properly for such a test. PS, a final scare: If you DID have a PC that answered on all ports over internet I would have been VERY worried. It's be open for attack, and most certainly - it would have been compromised. Go pay your bills via it, and you're guaranteed to see someone pulling a few bucks out of your account now & then. -
Thanks Dimebug - I'm not using any of those features, math, axis tune, ... yet.

No. There's no such return policy afaik.

Just my 2 cents, I haven't installed TARGET yet - but previous experience from Saitek SST software makes me believe it introduces more problem than it solves. So I've stuck with using DCS/FC2 programmming methods & modifiers instead. But - I still wish to hear what benefits one can have using TARGET - there may be benefits I'm not aware of (except easier programming from a central console).

License enforcement system has been tampered with?

159th is not running on 2008 WE, using Win7. -
Well, if you dont try to do any changes - no changes will happen, and you will not figure out what contributed to your problem in the first place. So reinstall DX9. Reinstall DCS - it shouldn't cost you new activations on the same PC, same hardware, same OS, same PC-name, same Network Adapter. If you change one of those it may cost you an activation. However, if you check the activation forum - you would see that if your run out, you should get more activations pretty quickly. But you need to run out first. If you have things you want to ask regarding upgrading 1.0.0 -> 1.0.2 do so, and we'll try to answer you more clearly. :)

Hm, I can see stick input - forward stick. The input must come from somewhere. - Any gamecontrollers attached? - Other input devices attached? - Any software that assist you do keyboard / game control changes? - Could the keyboard be stuck sometimes? - Can you try a different keyboard?

Many of the problems related to in A-10C is due to outdated/faulty DirectX installation. Just reinstall it as soon as you hit the first snag - or even better, do it before you hit the snag, that way you'll have less snags ;)

Oh, the dopler effects (delayed sounds etc) from explosions and all is a nice immersion upgrade. On the other hand as you say, training missions can't be used - but at a certain point in time you wont need them anymore. You just need to get past that point. And there's been reported about bad AI wingman behaviour in 1.0.2. But when you're past the point where you can handle the chopper, fly confident and better than the AI, I would say go for 1.0.2 And go for finding some friends to fly with in MP-coop - and voice chat. This will give your another BIG kick - it's really fun having humans players to fly with as wingmen. ;)

I had to dig a bit around, I think there was some related reports in FC2. Anyway, there's a FC2 (same engine as DCS 102) here: FC2 sound FAQ Now, as for DCS, it's safer to patch from 1.0.0 -> 1.0.2 and not using 1.0.1 at all. See post#2 for some patching tips: TROUBLESHOOTING - Help us help you. You can try to reapply DirectX9 again - to see if it fixes your issue. You could try to download new soundrivers from your Mainboard-Vendor, or PC-vendor. On top of that, you could reinstall DCS again, clean, no mods - to a new directory in the root of ex. C: or D: DCS 1.0.0 and patch it to 1.0.2. No need to start it in 1.0.0 - just patch directly after install. Otherwise, see post #1 in the troubleshooter on how to post a DXDIAG report.
