  1. If you buy from the Lockon site, it doesn't mean your account will work on the DCS site. AFAIK The accounts are not related - and neither is usable on the forums. All 3 systems have different accounts. So perhaps you though you had an account because you registered in one of the other systems? In any case - just create a new account and you're good to go.
  2. Another tip to find your posts or threads: - Check your own public profile page, aka click your own name somewhere. - On the statistics part of the page, click the "Find all threads started by <myself>".
  3. Generally many people wont join a server if it's empty. So if you go there first, you might attract a few more players - and after a little while you'll have plenty of company. PS, Back to the 80's rock! :D
  4. con3para, I agree, sound like a serious issue. Please contact support: Sticky: How to contact Support EDIT: Btw, did you try to recheck your serial and get it from the online database? See this: Sticky: Activation & Finding the Serialnumber
  5. Too big file? 5mb is the max? (not sure). Rar it instead, it has a bigger limit? Or rather - it could be that we mods have higher limits than the rest of you - but check the limits in the upload window.
  6. Recomendations for the future: - Change your password and do not use the same password as anywhere else. - use "secure browsing" (IE protected mode), no flashplayer, UAC enabled etc. Just a bit of general advice - you'll be less affected by malware, but noone is immune.
  7. How old is it and how long have you overclocked it? 1-2 years, it may work. 3 years or more, expect it to not be able to keep up for long. Keep in mind - if a dying or overloaded PSU surges your mainboard or other components, where would that leave you?
  8. Bottom left corner of the main forum page (index / frontpage). Theres a language selector.
  9. Yes, (ps, I edited my post - I read the outcome a bit different). Personally, I would have bought a 750W or 800W supply, for future upgrades - and make sure my PC didn't die on me.
  10. No, no O/C - he will have to test his own setup with different parameters. Or just buy a bigger PSU just to be sure.
  11. I entered most of your gear, as well as 4 usb devices a extra PCI card, DVD burner - and it spits out consumption of 538W. EDIT: Hm, I might have been a bit quick - the calc says "Recommended Minimum PSU Wattage is 538W". In that case it should be okai. With 20% aging it recomends a 640W supply.
  12. As for power consumption, just one of the calculators out there: http://www.antec.outervision.com/ For the efficiency loss over time, see footnote #4:
  13. Technically it's not important how many activations you got - but that you can easilly activate your game even after several failed attempts. From what I've decoded with the info we got so far, it seems that you need to reach 0 or so, before the replenish will work. I could be wrong of course. Thinking "number of activations, oh dear, I lost 2 activations" is looking at the problem from the wrong angle. It's wether you can activate after reinstalling your Windows which matters. Even when you have spent all your 8 activations. Even then, if the replenish fails for some odd web/server problem - you can still contact support and get them to fix it. Again - do not focus blindly on the number of activations, you didn't buy a 8-pack of activations - you bought a license to run the software on 1 PC. :)
  14. Oh, I assumed anyone would do this by themselves. Now that may explain why I havent seen it myself - I always set it to a bit lower than my real speed.
  15. You just solved another case with similar issues - WindowsBlinds is the mega-culprit. Thank you for updating us! :)
  16. You've done most of the things I would have suggested for you. All I can do is to toss a few more ideas for you: - Two or three graphics adapters? - not sure how well DCS manages the situation. Perhaps try with one only? - Got any Errors from the crash in the Event Viewer? See post #4 for tips: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=738777&postcount=4 - Tried without any devices connected? (And profiler software). Disconnect everything. - Tried shutting down your antivirus? - I remember when ArmA had issues regarding 12gb computers - not sure how this is with DCS 1.0.2. Last resort, perhaps take out a couple of the mem-sticks and try with 6gb? - FC2 is working? If so, very strange - basicly the same game-engine in both, shouldn't behave differently. - And not modified any of the files in DCS:BS at all? Not even the controller-config? It's a desperate measure - but at least test with a *super*-clean install, to elimiate any problems with file-changes.
  17. Please see the tip in post #4 regarding using SP for editing, and MP for displaying 3d-world. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=790918&postcount=4
  18. HTTP3 should have been fully fixed - HTTP1 still contain some bad links, as well as FTP1 I think. Webmaster will try to correct them.
  19. Glad to be proved wrong - must be the \temp\tempMission.miz that contains the changes and thats the one you're flying then. :)
  20. You can contact them using support tickets - I hope this is true even if you dont own a product on the account. Sticky: How to contact Support
  21. No, not without saving. However, you can radio the groundcrew and ask for a new type of loadout when doing a Rampstart or landing to rearm.
  22. We don't know - until ED reveals it for us all. ;)
  23. These are all survey sims, it's been debated all over the place. Here's a few searched: FC2 A2A Changes SU-27 need corrections in FC2.0 Missiles changes in FC 2.0 We do not need another thread about this. Your previous was closed, now this one. Warning issued.
  24. - DCS:BS v.1.0.2? - No mods? PS, editing files and not using Notepad++ can break files. - Tried with another keyboard? - Started the sim without using Saitek SST? - Started the sim without any devices connected to your computer? And please create a DXdiag report (while your game gear is connected) and attach it to a post as described here: TROUBLESHOOTING - Help us help you.
  25. The dead links have been reported to the webmaster. Try all of them, HTTP1 (some broken), HTTP3 (some broken), FTP1, FTP3 and lastly you have the bit torrent.
