  1. Some knobs may need you to hold RightMouse and scroll, LeftMouse + scroll. - sorry, I dont remember which knob / instrument, when, where. But there's a few combinations to try of course.
  2. Hm, no - I dont understand why one would have to transfer results using Notepad++ ? Are we talking past eachother here perhaps? Mission data is not transferred from a mission to the next. All missions are static - decided by the mission designer. Mission-designer can choose to say: - If all tanks are killed and all 4 pilots land at base: Load Mission: Mission2a.miz - If all tanks are killed and only some pilots landed - rest is killed: Load mission: Mission2b.miz - If some tanks are killed, time is more than 3 hours: Load Mission: Mission1aa-startover.miz Very static - but if gives you a fake sensation of progress. As for how far in the campaign you get - well, the server/host needs to be online and running. If you plan on hosting yourself - then yes, you need to share this "intel" with your friends and post on a forum: - "We made it to Mission8a.miz yeasterday, you need to start on that mission today". But thats the nature of shutting down a server - you need to start somewhere of course.
  3. Yes, there's a few Triggers and possibilties you can use. - You can measure the conditions - like all ships have been sunk or groups of units #001 to #007 - and then choose to use the ACTION "LOAD MISSION". With a more userfriendly aproach you would present some messages on screen etc, perhaps give them a timelimit to return to base before loading the next mission. But someone - a mission designer - need to sit down and decide what a "winning factor" should be, and code the conditions into a trigger.
  4. FC2 and DCS:BS uses the same underlying engine, sharing the same config-changes. So you can use this trick on DCS:BS as well. Well, being in Sweden you shouldn't have any problems staying connected to US/European servers, no. It can still be your ISP of course, but I would guess it's bredbandsbolaget - and I think I know a few people who doesn't have issues using them. I'm starting to run out of ideas ... Let me attach a few "Ping timeout - easy steps to check for yourself":
  5. Certainly sounds like you have not gotten through with the purchase. As for download, you can still download it - but you wont be able to get into the Sim-world until the Serial-dialog box appears. But you can install and start the DCS main menu - as well as edit missions. But SP / MP simulation will be disabled until Serialnumber-registration has completed by you. If you wish to contact support regarding purchase - to confirm wether it has been registered as a purchase in their system: Sticky: How to contact Support As for the error, the DCS FAQ's / OFrums list such as: - Install using an admin. - Start the game using an admin. How & what workarounds to test ... & much more in the Beta-forums. You need to get access, aka have a license and the purchase sorted first. I hope you understand. Thanks.
  6. Good, thanks. Numbers in milliseconds? If you can be specific, it's easier for us to understand your situation. 150ms? So you get ping timeouts on 51th and 104th. Where do you live - US, Europe, Asia, Russia .. or? If you live in Europe, then this is a strange sitaution. If you live in Asia, then it may be a bit more normal. No java is being used in BS. See this post for instructions: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=898992#post898992 1. Make sure you make a backup of the file. 2. You must NOT use regular NOTEPAD - you must use the Notepad++ program. I don't think you are suffering from this problem though - but it can be worth a test.
  7. lol, funny :D thanks - but let's not go derailing further ;)
  8. I've actually used exclusive profile too for quite a while, same profile for all my sims - and no problem using one of the buttons on the Throttle BTN21 for centering. Not using the others - disabled pause and precision.
  9. Single-core PC? It's a bit unusual these days, not sure if it can affect MP performance. Hm. Okai, so you have hosted - good. But in some situations, DCS v1.0.2 may not obey the "LAN speed settings" in the MP-options, which sometimes contributed to ping timeouts. It could happen while hosting, but I cannot remember if the problem remained for MP-clients (like you are trying to do right ow - play online on other servers). Just a note for me for later: The fix. Instead, a few more general questions: - What kind of ping / latency could you see whe you were online with the DCS:BS server? 100ms or 300ms? - And on what servers did you get the Ping-timeouts? Where were you playing? - You did install the DCS 1.0.2 patch I hope? - Have you tried any tracert command (a bit techy) against the servers you played? If you said 'huh' right now thats allright, just wanted to know if you had that kind of info available. 'No' is a perfectly good answer.
  10. Hm, have you served/hosted missions for other previously? In that case - some of the settings may be incorrect for the network.cfg. If not - then you need to check wether you use WLAN or other connection related issues. Perhaps you can tell us a bit more about your configuration / your PC and network?
  11. Bucic, all I can safely guess right now is that ED is too busy with DCS:W to be documenting on some older behaviour. But it's a feature allright.
  12. The error is not related to Serial number, but when you need to look it up you can go here: Activation & Finding the Serialnumber Also, if you register for the Beta Forum - you'll find people and posts which can assist you with the error over there. Announcement: Access to the DCS:A10 C open beta forums. Issues FAQ Thread - READ THIS Welcome and PLEASE READ! Open Beta Forum: Crash
  13. You can contact support this way: How to contact Support They may happen to be too busy to notice threads on the forums sometimes.
  14. Worth repeating, released 2 days ago - new candidate. http://ts.thrustmaster.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=1&fid=3&pid=285&cid=5
  15. Yes, it works, but you will need to configure all the relevant axis, buttons & hats. So "autoconfigured", no - PnP as in Gaming-Device through Windows, yes.
  16. Yes, it's covered in the Beta Forum. Go get your access. ED Forums » Beta Teams » Open Beta » Open Beta » Input Controller » FF broken with the patch
  17. WIP, missions needs to be re-tuned after a few changes.
  18. You should have read some of the Beta Forum post - most of Nevada problems are covered there. I'll move this thread over to that forum in some minutes, so you manage to read this post. Sticky: Beta 2 Nevada Fix
  19. There's been enough threads covering these topics over the years. Use search.
  20. If you approve their work - just give them a bit of credit. Simple as that.
  21. const, if still you want date & times when the outages happens so you can retrace it, please give us a hint. ;)
  22. We all learn to be creative with the tools we got at hand - using multiple windows like that becomes natural after a while. It's all a matter of keeping track of when to save - and when not to - otherwise you'll get nasty errors when the file is locked by the MP-server. PS, remember to enable labels & external view in your mission when you work on it of course, you can turn those off later.
  23. Not at all, you'll get the login box - but you can cancel it.
  24. 2. Tip one / two : http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=790918&postcount=4
  25. In singleplayer, go fly. Press LCtrl+Z once or twice. Or ten times. You now got your DCS:Hummingbird. ;)
